The simple truth is that former Officer Rivieri assaulted the 14 year old for no reason. The officer was under NO THREAT of bodily harm against him which is the only legal reason an officer can use force. And, it's NOT A LAW that you cannot skateboard at the Inner Harbour. It's a county ordinance, not a law. There's a big difference. The officer could have issued a fine and thats it. The former officer broke the law and he was fired for good reason because of that. Im glad he's off the streets.

This officer was fired recently because of his irrational behavior that was (fortunately for the citizens he was patrolling) caught on tape. I love O'Reilly's position: We shouldn't be allowed to videotape police officers abusing their power. If he enjoys living in a totalitarian state that actually has laws like that (and there are some countries that do) then might I suggest that he move to another country far, far away from the US. I'll buy the plane ticket.

From what I saw, the officer falsely threatened him with incarceration ("Being Defensive" is not a crime), proceeded to threaten a compliant and nonviolent suspect with assault, and then proceeded to take his personal property without ordering the suspect to surrender it. An officer must ALWAYS give his suspect the ability to comply with the law, not to railroad straight to the chokehold. This is why this officer is now unemployed, just like you.
