  • looks like its moonwalkin! lol

  • I like the part where they drive straight in with the item too big to fit thru the door. (Like it's completely unfathomable to back in, turn 90 degrees, and swivel the item in). This is just plain silly. There is no advantage this thing has over my propane nissan, except that I wouldn't trust it with shit (which isn't really an advantage)

  • As seen on Mythbusters. =)

  • just make a video if it going at max speed sideways

  • The one that dropped it was the conventional lift truck, not the sidewinder forklift.

  • ehh not really needed

  • What the he'll would you need side shift for?

  • we live in a sci-fi movie now don't we?

  • I like how at 1:36 the operator looks down at the beam for a second like "oh, that didn't work."

  • Does it go up? HMMM?

  • @xXalteranXx I think that's what the forks are for.

  • By a dozens and plan a forklift battle to DEATH

  • How clever!

  • Yale suck

  • How much are those tires?

  • Seen it on mythbusters!

  • I guess the problem is that in full lock it rotates around the center of ALL wheels rather than around the the center of the front wheels which is what we are used to

  • I bet the treading on the tires wear out pretty quick...

..plus the cost of replacement. Cool machine though

  • @JueputaGuebon if you have a tight warehouse you don't have much of a choice though.

  • They NEED those at my work

  • we have one for sale $4,500 rtr services dot com

  • god damn. That,s the moonwalk lift!

Reincarned michael jackson right there xD

  • Think I saw these on the newest Star Trek movie

  • @xXbestefarXx

There was. I think most of the people who saw that movie thought it was CGI, rather than something they could actually get.

  • wow i want one i so want one wear to buy how much soo menny questions very impressed indeed wow thank you for bringing sifi to real life

  • Did he die 2:23

  • those are Mecanum Wheeles invented by the Swedish inventor, Bengt Ilon, who came up with the idea in 1973 when he was an engineer with the Swedish company Mecanum AB.

  • it's like playing doom on a forklift, lol.

  • waist of money

  • HUJ NIE WIDLAK, DLA CIENIASÓW

  • Fantastic, that is cool...

Is that a american product ?

  • @Cypern:

those are Mecanum Wheeles invented by the Swedish inventor, Bengt Ilon, who came up with the idea in 1973 when he was an engineer with the Swedish company Mecanum AB.

  • Those "wheels" is if not a stupid invention then at least a redundant one - not to mention unnecessary complicated and expensive. Fer chrissakes, a simple shopping cart has been able to do sideways movement for how many years now?

And with that said, the MaxTruck2T "omnidirectional fork lift truck" is more likely the truck of the future. Do a search for it; videos are here on site.

That idea has real promise - but the Sidewinder is merely a parenthesis and a dead end.

  • i'm getting one, i don't need it, but im getting one.

  • forklift doing the moonwalk

    I've seen everything

Now I can die in peace....

  • This is one of those "Why Didn't I think of that" items. It is verrry cool. :-)

  • lol......love the guy on the yale

  • This was just shown on Mythbusters, fricken awesome

  • Thats why I had to look it up. Id never seen wheels like that before.

  • Awesome! This would be a great addition to my Hubtex fork truck!

  • such a great idea so much better than the old forklifts

  • i would rather use one of those forklifts its %100 battery operated so no more fumes in small spaces u can do every think a normal forklift cant

  • I want one of these.

  • This is absolutely amazing! Normally you'd need 2 forklifts to unload long loads from a 53' van. Now you only need 1.

  • 1:34 someones getting fired

  • if you watch real close in the new star trek movie, one of these is in the background right when kirk and bones are getting on the shuttle to go to the enterprise

  • Hm, looks good, but I wonder how longs does the battery last? And no matter the tires, it looks like they will wear off pretty soon.

  • is it safe as the regular stacker ??

  • brilliant idea

  • Interesting machine, but where would the center of fulcrum point be? Wouldn't this machine allow for more sideways tip-overs?

  • Are you a fl technician?

  • That would be usefull for loading and unloading trucks at the convention center!! I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 40ft beam ?? i think some one's been on the crack pipe

  • 1:34 there IS trick for that -.-'

  • Yup, it's tricky but possible.

  • that has to be the coolest forklift i have ever seen.....we have BT's at my job and the cab tilts back 45 degrees when u raise your forks past the 1st stage to take off neck strain....and theres a camera mounted to the inside of the left fork.....most user friendly piec of equipment ive ever used

  • oh how much this tire cost?

You need spare for every X month?

sell that tech to big motor company!

i want to ride a car with such tire.

  • yeah and how often will the....wheels need to be changed?? and at what cost!!!!

  • wTF?

  • they need those kind of wheels on cars, to make parallel parking easier lol

  • @nerdy8675309 if you cant parallel park wtf are you doing driving a forklift get back in the kitchen

  • I have the pleasure of being a forklift operator and this is the first time I've seen this sort of vehicle in use. It is actually quite awesome.

  • ya that 40' beam crap was bull only a retarded driver would try to handle a load like that.

  • It was a bit silly, yeah, especially with the old forklift, but it was also making a very strong point about transporting narrow things. this lift has a versatility that can't compare to forklifts, but the comparison will be made anyway because they look similar.

And I suspect that demo was meant to be humorous (which is was). "Oh jeez, I wonder if this ten foot door is big enough for this 40 foot load? oh, it's not? I'll just keep going in anyway!! durrrr" hahahaha

  • well i wish they had fork lifts like this when i was driving them cos i would hve a lot of fun

  • that is one hell of a fork lift

  • Wow, it would be easier than my 5 ton.Fenwick

  • Wonder when it'll be designed for cars.

  • thts cool wish i had 1!!

  • cool

  • I wish my warehouse could have one of these.

  • very interesting version of a forklift

  • Damn I need one at my job. Had me sold on the 40 foot beam through the door

  • That is SO cool--I wish I had one! Maybe then we could finally get the garage cleaned up!
