Why did they have to end the best show ever made? I never cared about Marissa and season 4 was as good as the other seasons for me. I watched the show for Seth,Summer,Sandy and Kirsten. Both the couples were way too cute to be real. I miss the oc so much! Adam Brody is the cutest :D SETH COHEN FTW.

I disagree. The show was just as good. I watched a whole week of nothing but the O.C. all the way to the series finale. it was amazing. in the final episodes it was showing the character development of ryan and I loved how he grew up, it was getting redundant with the marissa cooper and ryan drama thing, I am glad they lightened up a little, but it might have been toooo soon after marissa's death BUT it was still good. Which is my opinion. don't get offended. it's just a show

Its just that i really like Marissa becuase she was a good character when you look through the alcohol and drugs & everything.

I think, she just needed to see her dad, which she was about to do, when Kevin killed her.

She was about to leave the show anyway so why did she have to die? I mean, it would have been ok, if she stayed with her dad for a year or two, and then the writers could dicicde, if they want her back on the show

I don;t know. i agree wit that to some extent. I think if they tried to give her a normal send off it would have been cheesy. I think because the character was so heavy in the first place it was only fitting you send them out in a heavy tone. when it's a main character it is hard for I guess to write the off gracfully. I think that is the "writer way" cause what show that had to get rid of a major character, didn;t kill them?
