If you start a farm you will need some bone meal i think its availible on beta 1.2_02.then plant the seed and put bone meal on the seed and it will instantly grow,you will get wheat and make som bread

Note for notch: Make you own rules for minecraft like inventory control so you can only carey so much and destroy gone so you can make it so you cant destroy torches... also waight so that way you its def man vs minecraft with harcore rules JUST AN IDEA ;D
