Changing MP3 files, into Ogg vorbis, with Audacity.

i changed it from mp3 to ogg and the ogg file isnt working for the game i need it for :S

what shuld i change the properties to? where it says open file as..

lemme know i tried itunes, windows media player and nothing is making it work

Oh, and em, I got the newer version of Audacity, or the Beta version. I look on files and I don't see 'Export as Ogg'. I see 'Export' and such, so I was wondering if you could walk me through of what to do from that point on.

If you're using Linux you can do multiple files at a time at custom quality using a program like Sound Converter. I'm sure there's Windows programs as well that do multiple files. I just use Linux :P

god damnit, i downloaded a recent version its so fucken stupid. they attempted to make the layout look more "new" and it just is a major fail. this seems so damn simple on this version. but when i use the new on and click file it doesnt simply say "export as ogg file"

There is really nothing to be gained by this. Transcoding from one lossy compression format (MP3) to another (OGG) is only going to make the quality worse!

Audacity doesn't support m4a conversion. you would need something like Goldwave to do something like that.

Oh, i'm well aware of what SUPER can do. I'm an avid SUPER user, and have been for a few years. My only gripe, is that it can take forever to come on, regardless of how good of a comp one person has. Otherwise, it's solid, and can do batch conversions very on que.

Thank you Valentine but I was already aware of the things you covered. It is easy to convert the file to .ogg but my main problem was getting the Mugen to play that format of music files. Anyway as I said before I got the music (mp3s) to work by putting in some special text in the .cfg file. So I guess this screenpack isn't ogg compatible after all. Go figure ^_^.

you need to get the plugin "in_vorbis.dll" and set it up the same way as you did the mp3 files.
