@sneeuwmonster hes a whinging arrogant bitch who was kicked off stargate because he demanded the show pay more attention to him rather than jack o'neil (richard dean anderson) and just when the watchers get used to jonas quin and actually start enjoying his charcter the stargate producers caved in and brought him back and had a few more episodes ALL about him. thats why people dont particually like him he acts like an a-list star when hes more like a z-list

@eraldorh thats not it, he didn't like where Daniel Jackson's character was going, becoming to much of an army guy when Daniel was always supposed to be a archeologist first. and he's a good actor! have you not seen the episode where he's got a lot of people stuck in his head? he portrays them all incredibly well. Jack is a great character, and never stopped being the focus of the show until he left, while Michael Shanks was there the entire time, (minus that one season).

@eraldorh I suspect any accusations of whining are blown out of proportion. The actors on Farscape improvised quite a bit and were encouraged to contribute to their characters. He wrote two very good episodes for Farscape and wrote one for SG-1 (haven't seen it, don't know if it was good) so it's not surprising he was questioning things. He probably just pointed out that the character's focus was drifting and the writers on SG-1 got butthurt about it.

The fact that when he returned the episodes focused on him ALOT more than they did jack so it only further proved the theory.

@eraldorh I've seen BB at conventions & adore him. He's a psych major/theater geek/sci-fi fan who was also a college linebacker. That’s excellent.

Watched SG -1 since I last posted. RDA was dialing back when BB was cast, and RDA originally agreed to play O'Neil on the condition that he was part of an ensemble, as opposed to MacG. O'Neil is a foil -- there to be snarky/ go into rescuebeast mode, didn't really have the depth other regs had. BB doing more than that as the 2nd CO of SG-1 is good.

LOL. I think Ben's wife is super cute. I think they play it up a little bit in public as well to keep the interest in the show going. Also I have seen some other interviews with Ben as well. It seems he is like that with everyone. He just seems to be a very open, friendly person. I know he was actually supposed to play John Sheppard in Atlantis but ended up playing Cameron Mitchell in SG1. I wonder if he would have had the same Chemistry with Teyla?

I must admit ever since I heard about Ben as Sheppard I have wondered how the show would be (not that I don't love Joe Flanigan). I think Ben's portrayal would be very different but you're right - he has great sexual chemistry with everyone (have you seen him and Shanks together? lol) so Sheppard and Teyla would probably still be matched. :0)
