@pinky09punk these birds are called lovebirds they are the cutest little things i advice you to get one thats hand fed or hand feed it yourself from 2 weeks of age,those are the tamest! they all come in different colors and personalities!!! :)
@michwng well how long have you had her, and are you a female or male. cuz if your a male you should get a female bird, if your a female get a male bird, and research how to tame lovebirds cuz if it aint wat i just said then well i have no idea, also it depends if your lovebird was hand fed. hand fed lovebirds are much tamer then the ones that are raised by there parents! :) hope this kinda helped!
How do you handle raising them and then selling them? I was never able to do that without feeling so depressed, and recently I've been very ill and have had to sell a few of mine since I was not able to care for them. It broke my heart. How...how do you do it? (I can't think of a better way to put it, haha).
i tried to get trust of our lovebird but when we put our hand in oneside of the cage they go to the other and when we get them out they fly about not knowing how to get in the cage please help me!!!! :(
aww look at all the lovebirds! they are so cute <3 ^_^ i have a peachfaced lovebird.. i got it from a petstore a few years ago.but it always gets scared and jumps on top of her bars in her cage. i wish i could get her to sit on my finger but she panics and flies around inside when i try to = ( i don't know what sex it is either...is there anyway to tell?
i have a question for the creatoos of the vid if you get this i have a love bird and hes got a bit of an attitude he dosent like skin at all he bits it hard but if i have a long sleve shirt on he wont bother with my arms but when i take it off and he lands on my arm he bits my skin or trys to lol also ive got 2 other love birds and their really really people shy they dont let anyone near them what can i do to fix buddy first bird from biting and make sasha and tommy like people more? plz help=)
Aww, they are adorable! If I ever decided to adopt a lovebird and take on the challenge, I would name it Papaya, if it was a girl. In your experience, which is usually more affectionate and outgoing, males or females? thanks. :)

that is very cool its reallllate right now and this just made me wanna play wit my parakeet but sometimes he likes flying around my room and he doesntlike to be low on th ground so i can play wit him that much :(
We used to have around 10 Java Rice finches, and just like you, we could distinguish each one of them. And they are all white, not like your colorful birds. It's amazing how each one of them is different, unique.
You two are amazing! :) Never have I seen anyone with such a beautiful bond with their animals! I love all your videos, because your birds are gorgeous, and I love watching you interact with them!
try giving them a marble or something else they can't pick up, they will try to pick it up but they can't and after a little while they go crazy and it will start looking like soccer, 5 birds chasing a little marble
I miss the times when I had parakeets, its not the same bird but when I was 14, bought my first parakeets and they mated and had several babies. No you don't need to keep them in pairs, that's a myth...
While you can keep them in pairs if you want, most of the time it's better to start out with a single handfed baby. They make the BEST pet's in the avian (bird) world.
I always tell people :: You want a small parrot to love you until the end of time? Purchase a handfed baby lovebird! You cannot go wrong with one of them. (Except make sure to play with your baby daily.)
I want to add one to the house so badly! {No breeders here.}
Just because a baby is hand fed does not guarantee a tame bird. After weaning, most birds forget that they were even hand fed. Do you remember Mom feeding you? I don't. All hand feeding does is gets a bird use to humans. This is called imprinting. It is ironic that hand fed birds bite harder than non hand feds because they have no fear of humans. Socialization is the key to a tame bird. I have had wild-caught parrots and hand fed babies with the same level of tameness. Socialization!
Had one too who passed away this week of old age :( His name was Marley. Funny how he got his name. Couldn't decide on a good name for him, when he started singing on a song he heard on the radio.
