Nice review, I was honestly a little surprised that the TAR didn't shoot as accurately as the AR. I knew bullpups had shitty triggers but I figured the longer barrel and better balance would compensate a bit for that. Oh well, there's no way I could justify 3 grand for a rifle anyways, I think I'll just get me one of those Norc M4's. I loved the C8 when I was in the military so I'm sure I will love the Norc too, plus the price is just irresistable.
Wow for all you who hate on the tar-21 I'd like to see you say no to free tar-21? Exactly and a real comparison would be any factory at-15 with the same length as tar-21 then do an accuracy test, & weight it is more heavier than an AR but it feels lighter because it's a bullpup like when you throw a bullpup kit on any shotgun its 1/2lbs. Heavier but feels lighter because your strong hand is gripping on center of balance as far as trigger IDK I've yet to try it out but I do know that this guy is
bullpup weapons are not inherently more accurate than conventional modern rifles, they only provide a decreased length (but not weight) while maintaining longer barrels. Hey Mr. L, thanks for the insight. I'm filming a review for the Tavor tomorrow night, I already posted the range footage on my channel. I've never fired a bullpup before but the Tavor is a really nice gun. Very easy to control. At the end of the day it shoots a 5.56 round reasonably accurately and reliably. For the price though...nice gun to have in the collection, be just as well off with 3 AR's, if not better. Thanks for the review!!
Good review, I wonder though if a good gunsmith can do anything about that trigger for you.
I have been using a VZ-58 for a while now and decided it's time to pick something better and considered the Tavor but I have also been thinking of picking up an XCR, leaning more towards the XCR now since the price is a bit better and they seem pretty reliable as well.
@pickinthatbanjo i would stay clear of the XCR . lots of people i know have had problems with them , there quality control is very low and you have to lock tite some screws and bolts on the rifle or they will just work free .. my buddys XCR will come right open when hes shooting it sometimes ,, it did not impress me at all .. for only $500 more you can buy a Tavor or Swiss Arms both real military grade rifles , also if those are too much $ look into a Benelli MR1 they are ugly but a great rifle
@MrLongbranch303 Wow, any rifle that needs work when purchased is to be avoided so thanks. I wondered one thing about the Tavor though, does it accept AR-15 mags or does it use some other design?
I really dont get why gun nuts hate airsofters. None of us act like we know anything about real firearms, unless we actually own/use real firearms which most of us do. It really fucking pisses me off when people say airsofters are pussies or tell airsofters to use real guns. First of all go and shoot your friends with a real gun and see how well that goes, second airsoft is a sport so saying airsoft is gay is like saying any other sport is gay.
@christower50 the problem i have is not with airsofters. i think its a cool sport and a good training method .. What pisses me off is when people call me a liar and tell me my Tavor is airsoft , NO ITS A REAL FIREARM ! god dam i have a shooting vid and they still dont believe me lol . but i do hate these call of duty faggots that think they know everything about firearms because they play them in video games lol. they tell me the Tavor is more accurate and i dont know what im talking about lol
@christower50 the problem i have is not with airsofters. i think its a cool sport and a good training method .. @MrLongbranch303 Everyone hates the call of duty fags that thing they know everything about gun functions from a game lol. How does the accuracy on the tavor compare to the ar? Ive only ever shot a glock 32 and a Mp5 lol
@christower50 No the problem is when idiot don't label their videos AIRSOFT. So when i go looking for a video demonstration of a specific weapon I'm thinking about purchasing or just want to learn about, I get a little fucking kid telling me why the gun his parent's bought him is good.
Most of the time they don't even know very about the airsoft gun itself.
@BULLET9992 Im in Canada they are about $2500 but you cant buy them in the US they do not comply with the 922r assault rife import laws , it would have to have 70% US made parts to be legal there,, thank hillary clinton and the ATF
@TenebraearumParvulus yea the only people that are worse are the fuckheads that play Call of Duty and think they know everything about firearms because they play the game ... lol
hey Mrlongbranch do you live in canada or the states? I've been interested in this rifle but do not know if there available in the states yet. as you can see im to lazy to do my research lol.
Not airshit? I'm sure it's pretty dangerous to shoot each other with real weapons. Funny how airsoft owners and users are generally smarter than owners of real ones.
yes future weapons say that the TAR-21 is as accurate as a sniper rifle.
that is why Israel stopped using the M4 and begin to use the TAR-21 so i think that you are wrong.
the Israeli weapon industry know how to build weapons, so far they built the tank that is considered by anyone who came to see it as the best tank in the world
which has no competition with other tanks that are considered by their countries as "better than any other tank in the world".
@djomercohen do you own both these rifles ?? no.. Do you shoot both these rifles from benchrests ?? no... Do you compete in service rifle competition?? im thinking no ... Go to any .556 nato service rifle competition in the world you will see that US M-16 and Swiss SIG 550 rifles dominate the field ... there is no way that any bullpup type rifle can be as accurate as others because of the long trigger linkage ... With that being said the TAR21 is more than accurate enough for battle..
@djomercohen Isreal is famous for propoganda. There known for always saying there weapons are the best in the world which is certainly not true. Just look back at there former rifle the Galil. IMI stated it was better than both ak and m16, which was a total lie. Now I will agree that they make top notch gear but dont believe everything. Their only changing becuase(IMHO) they want to use a rifle made by there country(brings pride), just like the united stated and the m16.
@MegaVonpaulus From my knowledge the m16 was never said to be the best rifle of all time. And if you read all of my comment, I said their changing so they can use a rifle made by thier country. This i why the Us has yet to get rid of the m16. Their waitng for another american made weapon. Britans l85 isnt the best but why dont they change? Its becuase it was made by thier country. Its about pride, which is totally ok
@djomercohen Isreal turned down the ak47 just to make there own version(galil) to have a rifle made in their country. Also im not trashing the galil just using it to make a point, i've owned one and there fun as hell you can check my vids. Im sure if another country developed the m16 the US would have never touched it and picked up something worst jut to have it printed on the side MADE BY AMERICA.(again also own an ar just using it to make a point).
@djomercohen Israel says their guns and tanks or w/e is the best but so does Russia, USA, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, North Korea, China, Japan, list goes on.
Unless you do some unbiased personal research on the subject you won't be able to define the pros and cons of the weapons you are comparing. Or you can be drone and just absorb the dogma and propaganda of whatever advertisment, game, television series, movie you rely on for "information"
The Tavor is very accurate. You need a forehand grip to steady yur aim when using the Tavor. The AR-15 is not water proof. But the Tavor is water proof. The AR-15 is very accurate but the fouling is a major problem. The Tavor is quite expensive too but its got a piston and most AR-15 dont have pistons apart from HK416 and some other new mods.
Strangly enough, the grendel piston upper is supposed to be just as accurate as the original DI grendel. The owner of Alexander Arms is quite blunt and says he never expected this and still doesnt know if it would stay as accurate after several thousand rounds.
off track a bit.. 6.5 grendel is impressive, but the shape of the case is a feeding nightmare in adverse conditions, and it's proprietary which sucks. I'd like to see a similar cartridge with slight slopes thats non-proprietary.
@MrLongbranch303To bad you wer'nt into this gun stuff 30 years ago when the steyer aug came around and we had no effing bullshit laws. Anyways the aug is was the BEST of both worlds. It had the bullpup benifit of having a full length 20 inch barrel in a pretty short package and would shoot like the best of the ar's. My father could shoot clover leaf groups at 100 meters with the factory 1.5 power sight. His only other assult rifle that would do this consistently with factory sights was his H-BAR
ok well im thinking dont thos scops have something to do with accuracy i also understand that thes triger but to me it makes no sens that a 20inch crome free flot gun is les accurat then a 16inch not free flot not crome?? idk plus the triger has nothing to do with accuracy unless your fireing free hand wich would be a stupid thing to do for accuracy testing. idk but mabby your a better shooter with an ar but i think tar has to be more accurate but iv never shot an tar. and im not some airshitkid
@kangaroobob1995 I used the same scope on both rifles ... the trigger pull plays huge in accuracy .. unless you put both rifles in a vice and shot them then the trigger would not matter ... No piston operated rifle can have a free float barrel ... the AR/m16 has a tiny little gas tube no moving metal parts that connect with the barrel this is why they are so accurate, its called direct impingement ,, ARs are the most accurate .556 rifle on this earth but not the best rifles for warfare .
@USAFA21 Are you serious ? You think a Trigger Group has nothing to do with accuracy ? THUMBS UP for a fucking dumb ass. Stick to what YOU know COD & Air Soft, leave the firearms to the grown ups, MrLongbranch303 obviously owns both weapon systems I think he would know a LOT more than you.
@HungarianLegionnaire who the fuck are you?......and you cant say that his trigger group is messing up the accuacy unless you do a proper benched accuacy test, so THUMBS UP! for the know it all
@USAFA21 Second Class Legionnaire István, who the fuck are you and what experience do you have with firearms that makes you know shit ? I also shoot a bullpup, a FAMAS F-1, not as new as the Tavor but but a bullpup with a trigger-bar, & I can definitely tell you a trigger group has a lot to do with accuracy. Like I said stick with what YOU know & don't ever try and tell a Legionnaire anything about a firearms accuracy. I'm not telling you have to play COD or make Air Soft videos.
@HungarianLegionnaire Average Joe, or average cody, lol, but look here, u dont have to throw out your military rank or shit, i have all the respect in the world for the miltary, in high school i was Wing Commander and Rocket Club commander for my JROTC, I would love to go into the USAF, but they or my school screwed me over for scholarship, but anyways, you are still leaving out the fact that he probably hasnt done the proper accuracy test with it,
@HungarianLegionnaire but you are way late on this argument, this was months ago when we had this confersation, and im still staying by what i siad, do a proper test and then ill be willing to side with you guys, yes i do agree that trigger group has something to do with accuracy, but so does the length of the barrel, and the rifling of it, and just because i play airsoft and xbox in my spare time doesnt mean im 10 years old and think i know everything.
One: trigger group has nothung to do woth accuacry if u are doing an accuacy test properly, two: when doing this accuacy test did u do it with the gun on a platfor Being held up/in by the platform, or did u just hold it your self? Cause can cause major inconsistancies, three: did u ise the same scope/sight for the two after being zeroed in for them both?
@USAFA21 listen to the fucking video better... i used the same scope .. The tavor or any other piston gun will never be as accurate as the ARs freefloat DI system .... bullpups triggers suck....triggers have lots to do with accuracy lol ... I SHOULD KNOW I OWN BOTH RIFLES ..... DO YOU??? the tavor is more than accurate enough for a military service rifle .. but it cant hang with a decent AR bench rested on paper ......
I'm an Israeli (ex paratroopers) and I've used M4 Commando vesrion (I thikn you guys call it CQB version?) for four years before we partially switched to the Tavor (or TAR 21 as you call it abroad). few comments:
1. I know what you mean when you talk about the trigger, and yes it is indeed due to the connecting rod between the trigger and it's mechanism. BUT, if you're shooting slowly as I imagine you would on an accuricy test
(continue) then it shouldn't have any effect on your grouping (provided you know how towork a trigger (any trigger) properly. the pressure required to release a bullet is the same as the M4. secondly, it takes time to adjust and get used to this trigger when you're used to the M4's trigger. it sounds more like you just weren't used to the gun enough and it fucked up your shooting a bit.
I personally like the M4 best, but I'm biased as it is the gun I'm most trained with
@yonataneshel The M4/ AR family of rifles are the most accurate semi auto rifles out there ,mostly because of the direct gas system , there is no big piston moving around back and forth just a little fixed gas tube, My M4 is also more accurate than my Swiss SIG 550 with a 3 pound match trigger ! Its not really the trigger that makes it more accurate its cause it has a free float barrel and a piston free gas system. The Tavor is more than accurate enough for a combat rifle, but its no sniper rifle
oh the tavor is no sniper rifle, we can easily agree on that. but neither ais the M4. while there is no big piston moving around, the pressure of the gasses needed to kick the bolt back is the same, and therefore while there is indeed less MASS moving, the power applied on the rifle isn't much different so the recoil, which forces the shooter off his former position isn't much different.
But again this is beside the point I was trying to make
(continue) because like I said if you're shooting properly you shouldn't have any problem pretty much the same grouping even if you got up for a break and came back after each shot. Aim right, hold the gun right, lie down right, breath right and squeeze the trigger right and the blowback wouldn't matter. I trust that you're an excellent shooter, but maybe you just need a few more tests.
I've shot thousands of round on both guns, never felt any difference in accuracy. honestly.
Crikey :P I was actually going to pick up a full size bushmaster so I could take it out in the twigs cause i thought it was just the shorter types that were restricted BUT just like you said ALL AR15 types are restricted despite make or barrel length. That is utter horse shit. Makes me mad some scaredy cat politicians looking to cash in on votes by making people afraid everywhere did all this.
@tactikoolaid Yea i think he did trigger mods .. even with a better trigger no piston rifle will be as accurate as a direct impingement rifle. .. but for a military rifle the TAR21 within 300 meters is more than accurate enough for what it was built for, and you dont have to clean it all the time like a AR for it to run properly .. it was not meant to be a sniper rifle.
@tactikoolaid It is that bad for any distance target shooting ..but it would be fine for combat i think ... i just tried the keltec RFB and wow it has a decent trigger..
I used to fire Steyr AUG using emergency battle sight on top of optic sight and hitting a target out at 300 metres was fairly hard. Mind you those were not like M-16 sight.
I think that trigger feel that author refers to is a result of firing mechanism modification to turn it to semi-auto only. My friend had a chance to fire an IDF TAR-21 and found it to be very smooth and accurate. I might be wrong though since I never held it personally.
I saw what the field strip of TAR-21 looks like. I freaked out. Extremely simple.
M-16 family is machined extremely closely and while great for accuracy makes it much more prone to jamming in dirty conditions. I think its the weapon that would be great for highly accurate fire in city when used by SWAT, HRT and if use it in military then National Guard would be good. But in field I think some accuracy sacrifice for the reliability sake would almost be unnoticed. at 200 metres its good enough.
@lHustonProductionsl useless hummm?? have you ever shot one ? im guessing no.. Its a very well made and ultra reliable rifle its just not on par with a AR15 in accuracy , but no semi auto really is .. but useless hell no!! no working firearm is useless .... and what do you have against 1/7 twist lol ???
LOL @ Future weapons saying this rifle is sniper accurate.
2 things that puzzle me:
1) why kel-tec, a small, civilian company can put out a better trigger than the Israeli military indrustry
2) why the kel-tec is $1000 more at wolverine supplies than in US. same goes for many other things on their menu.
I don't understand if they have "exclusive" import rights or something but its messing with sales, and bad for both Canadians buyers and gun companies alike.
@hapelliotte yea we get ripped off here .. i think it due partly to import and export fees and our dealers here dont have the buying power to make large orders keeping the price high,, the gun market in Canada is about the same size as a small US state . Vault Distribution is the importer for all kel tec in canada..
@MrLongbranch303 thanks for that info, I find wholesale sports to be fairly reasonable with prices. I prey they get in the kel tec 308 & shotgun, because they'll be loads cheaper than wolverine
its took bad we cant just buy guns in the states :)
The Canadian Government has their hands in the process of firearms and for the most part our firearms in Canada have a artificial price increase, for no reason.
What's the most rounds you've had through an AR15. AR15s are the most accurate semiautos I've ever shot and I've shot HK93, SIG 556, mini-14, ACR etc.
I bought mine when it was $2900 and it came with a metprolight red dot sight worth $700 .. still a little pricey i think but it is non restricted and i can use 10 round LAR mags.. the only other rifle like that is the rob arms XCR and it costs $2300 here with no red dot .. im not a big fan of the XCR... lets hope they approve the kel tec su16 for import it will be non restricted , takes LAR mags and will cost under $1000 here..
Whats the FPS? XD

In any event nice rifle.
pickinthatbanjo 5 months ago
@pickinthatbanjo i would stay clear of the XCR . lots of people i know have had problems with them , there quality control is very low and you have to lock tite some screws and bolts on the rifle or they will just work free .. my buddys XCR will come right open when hes shooting it sometimes ,, it did not impress me at all .. for only $500 more you can buy a Tavor or Swiss Arms both real military grade rifles , also if those are too much $ look into a Benelli MR1 they are ugly but a great rifle
MrLongbranch303 5 months ago
@MrLongbranch303 Wow, any rifle that needs work when purchased is to be avoided so thanks. I wondered one thing about the Tavor though, does it accept AR-15 mags or does it use some other design?
pickinthatbanjo 5 months ago
@pickinthatbanjo The Tavor uses STANAG mags, same as the A-15 series, so yes.

@christower50 No the problem is when idiot don't label their videos AIRSOFT. So when i go looking for a video demonstration of a specific weapon I'm thinking about purchasing or just want to learn about, I get a little fucking kid telling me why the gun his parent's bought him is good.
Most of the time they don't even know very about the airsoft gun itself.

yes future weapons say that the TAR-21 is as accurate as a sniper rifle.
that is why Israel stopped using the M4 and begin to use the TAR-21 so i think that you are wrong.
the Israeli weapon industry know how to build weapons, so far they built the tank that is considered by anyone who came to see it as the best tank in the world
which has no competition with other tanks that are considered by their countries as "better than any other tank in the world".
djomercohen 7 months ago
@djomercohen do you own both these rifles ?? no.. Do you shoot both these rifles from benchrests ?? no... Do you compete in service rifle competition?? im thinking no ... Go to any .556 nato service rifle competition in the world you will see that US M-16 and Swiss SIG 550 rifles dominate the field ... there is no way that any bullpup type rifle can be as accurate as others because of the long trigger linkage ... With that being said the TAR21 is more than accurate enough for battle..

@MrLongbranch303 could the optics difference on those rifles have been a significant aspect as well?

@djomercohen Isreal is famous for propoganda. There known for always saying there weapons are the best in the world which is certainly not true. Just look back at there former rifle the Galil. IMI stated it was better than both ak and m16, which was a total lie. Now I will agree that they make top notch gear but dont believe everything. Their only changing becuase(IMHO) they want to use a rifle made by there country(brings pride), just like the united stated and the m16.
biggboysouth 6 months ago
@biggboysouth
Who is not good at propaganda? Our boys have been using jamming M16 for 40 years and we are made to believe that's the best rifle in the world.
MegaVonpaulus 3 months ago
@MegaVonpaulus From my knowledge the m16 was never said to be the best rifle of all time. And if you read all of my comment, I said their changing so they can use a rifle made by thier country. This i why the Us has yet to get rid of the m16. Their waitng for another american made weapon. Britans l85 isnt the best but why dont they change? Its becuase it was made by thier country. Its about pride, which is totally ok
biggboysouth 3 months ago
@djomercohen Isreal turned down the ak47 just to make there own version(galil) to have a rifle made in their country. Also im not trashing the galil just using it to make a point, i've owned one and there fun as hell you can check my vids. Im sure if another country developed the m16 the US would have never touched it and picked up something worst jut to have it printed on the side MADE BY AMERICA.(again also own an ar just using it to make a point).
biggboysouth 6 months ago
@djomercohen Israel says their guns and tanks or w/e is the best but so does Russia, USA, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, North Korea, China, Japan, list goes on.
Unless you do some unbiased personal research on the subject you won't be able to define the pros and cons of the weapons you are comparing. Or you can be drone and just absorb the dogma and propaganda of whatever advertisment, game, television series, movie you rely on for "information"
badInvention 4 months ago
The Tavor is very accurate. You need a forehand grip to steady yur aim when using the Tavor. The AR-15 is not water proof. But the Tavor is water proof. The AR-15 is very accurate but the fouling is a major problem. The Tavor is quite expensive too but its got a piston and most AR-15 dont have pistons apart from HK416 and some other new mods.
mbemiro 7 months ago
ar15 is more accurate....not surprised
Alexn1067 7 months ago

His only other assult rifle that would do this consistently with factory sights was his H-BAR
epert1010 5 months ago
ok well im thinking dont thos scops have something to do with accuracy i also understand that thes triger but to me it makes no sens that a 20inch crome free flot gun is les accurat then a 16inch not free flot not crome?? idk plus the triger has nothing to do with accuracy unless your fireing free hand wich would be a stupid thing to do for accuracy testing. idk but mabby your a better shooter with an ar but i think tar has to be more accurate but iv never shot an tar. and im not some airshitkid
kangaroobob1995 8 months ago
@kangaroobob1995 I used the same scope on both rifles ... the trigger pull plays huge in accuracy .. unless you put both rifles in a vice and shot them then the trigger would not matter ... No piston operated rifle can have a free float barrel ... the AR/m16 has a tiny little gas tube no moving metal parts that connect with the barrel this is why they are so accurate, its called direct impingement ,, ARs are the most accurate .556 rifle on this earth but not the best rifles for warfare .

MrLongbranch303 10 months ago
@USAFA21 Are you serious ? You think a Trigger Group has nothing to do with accuracy ? THUMBS UP for a fucking dumb ass. Stick to what YOU know COD & Air Soft, leave the firearms to the grown ups, MrLongbranch303 obviously owns both weapon systems I think he would know a LOT more than you.
HungarianLegionnaire 8 months ago 3
@HungarianLegionnaire who the fuck are you?......and you cant say that his trigger group is messing up the accuacy unless you do a proper benched accuacy test, so THUMBS UP! for the know it all
USAFA21 8 months ago
@USAFA21 Second Class Legionnaire István, who the fuck are you and what experience do you have with firearms that makes you know shit ? I also shoot a bullpup, a FAMAS F-1, not as new as the Tavor but but a bullpup with a trigger-bar, & I can definitely tell you a trigger group has a lot to do with accuracy. Like I said stick with what YOU know & don't ever try and tell a Legionnaire anything about a firearms accuracy. I'm not telling you have to play COD or make Air Soft videos.
HungarianLegionnaire 8 months ago
@HungarianLegionnaire Average Joe, or average cody, lol, but look here, u dont have to throw out your military rank or shit, i have all the respect in the world for the miltary, in high school i was Wing Commander and Rocket Club commander for my JROTC, I would love to go into the USAF, but they or my school screwed me over for scholarship, but anyways, you are still leaving out the fact that he probably hasnt done the proper accuracy test with it,
USAFA21 8 months ago
@HungarianLegionnaire but you are way late on this argument, this was months ago when we had this confersation, and im still staying by what i siad, do a proper test and then ill be willing to side with you guys, yes i do agree that trigger group has something to do with accuracy, but so does the length of the barrel, and the rifling of it, and just because i play airsoft and xbox in my spare time doesnt mean im 10 years old and think i know everything.
USAFA21 8 months ago
One: trigger group has nothung to do woth accuacry if u are doing an accuacy test properly, two: when doing this accuacy test did u do it with the gun on a platfor Being held up/in by the platform, or did u just hold it your self? Cause can cause major inconsistancies, three: did u ise the same scope/sight for the two after being zeroed in for them both?
USAFA21 10 months ago
@USAFA21 listen to the fucking video better... i used the same scope .. The tavor or any other piston gun will never be as accurate as the ARs freefloat DI system .... bullpups triggers suck....triggers have lots to do with accuracy lol ... I SHOULD KNOW I OWN BOTH RIFLES ..... DO YOU??? the tavor is more than accurate enough for a military service rifle .. but it cant hang with a decent AR bench rested on paper ......
MrLongbranch303 10 months ago
@MrLongbranch303
First - I like your review.
BUT, if you're shooting slowly as I imagine you would on an accuricy test
yonataneshel 9 months ago
@yonataneshel
I personally like the M4 best, but I'm biased as it is the gun I'm most trained with
yonataneshel 9 months ago
@yonataneshel The M4/ AR family of rifles are the most accurate semi auto rifles out there ,mostly because of the direct gas system , there is no big piston moving around back and forth just a little fixed gas tube, My M4 is also more accurate than my Swiss SIG 550 with a 3 pound match trigger ! Its not really the trigger that makes it more accurate its cause it has a free float barrel and a piston free gas system. The Tavor is more than accurate enough for a combat rifle, but its no sniper rifle
MrLongbranch303 9 months ago
@MrLongbranch303
oh the tavor is no sniper rifle, we can easily agree on that. but neither ais the M4. while there is no big piston moving around, the pressure of the gasses needed to kick the bolt back is the same, and therefore while there is indeed less MASS moving, the power applied on the rifle isn't much different so the recoil, which forces the shooter off his former position isn't much different.
But again this is beside the point I was trying to make
yonataneshel 9 months ago
@yonataneshel
I've shot thousands of round on both guns, never felt any difference in accuracy. honestly.

seklawii7 11 months ago
@tactikoolaid Yea i think he did trigger mods .. even with a better trigger no piston rifle will be as accurate as a direct impingement rifle. .. but for a military rifle the TAR21 within 300 meters is more than accurate enough for what it was built for, and you dont have to clean it all the time like a AR for it to run properly .. it was not meant to be a sniper rifle.
MrLongbranch303 11 months ago
@tactikoolaid It is that bad for any distance target shooting ..but it would be fine for combat i think ... i just tried the keltec RFB and wow it has a decent trigger..
MrLongbranch303 11 months ago
good vid bro !!!!!!!!! like the review!!!!!!!!
lmglocks 11 months ago
I used to fire Steyr AUG using emergency battle sight on top of optic sight and hitting a target out at 300 metres was fairly hard. Mind you those were not like M-16 sight.
I think that trigger feel that author refers to is a result of firing mechanism modification to turn it to semi-auto only. My friend had a chance to fire an IDF TAR-21 and found it to be very smooth and accurate. I might be wrong though since I never held it personally.
Spetsnazovets 1 year ago
I saw what the field strip of TAR-21 looks like. I freaked out. Extremely simple.
M-16 family is machined extremely closely and while great for accuracy makes it much more prone to jamming in dirty conditions. I think its the weapon that would be great for highly accurate fire in city when used by SWAT, HRT and if use it in military then National Guard would be good. But in field I think some accuracy sacrifice for the reliability sake would almost be unnoticed. at 200 metres its good enough.
Spetsnazovets 1 year ago 3

LOL @ Future weapons saying this rifle is sniper accurate.
2 things that puzzle me:
1) why kel-tec, a small, civilian company can put out a better trigger than the Israeli military indrustry
2) why the kel-tec is $1000 more at wolverine supplies than in US. same goes for many other things on their menu.
I don't understand if they have "exclusive" import rights or something but its messing with sales, and bad for both Canadians buyers and gun companies alike.
Would be nice to see competition.
hapelliotte 1 year ago 4
@hapelliotte yea we get ripped off here .. i think it due partly to import and export fees and our dealers here dont have the buying power to make large orders keeping the price high,, the gun market in Canada is about the same size as a small US state . Vault Distribution is the importer for all kel tec in canada..
MrLongbranch303 1 year ago
@MrLongbranch303 thanks for that info, I find wholesale sports to be fairly reasonable with prices. I prey they get in the kel tec 308 & shotgun, because they'll be loads cheaper than wolverine
its took bad we cant just buy guns in the states :)

The Canadian Government has their hands in the process of firearms and for the most part our firearms in Canada have a artificial price increase, for no reason.
