@ EkajTheSwordsman Ghost Squad is good, bit like Virtua Cop but army not cops. The Game shown on this review is worth having. House of the dead 2 and 3 on Wii also a good game. And all these games are cheap as chips... Ninja assault on PS2 is good too. All by Sega and good rail shooters.

I remember this game in the arcade. It had the most BA setup ever, with usually the biggest screen and a giant platform to stand on with 2 guns that have massive recoil. The sounds were awesome with enemies constantly exploding. It was always a rush to play, good times.....

Both games have sound effects which sound exactly like Goldeneye guns. This one has AK-47 and the other one sounds like you are constantly shooting rocket launchers.

i miss arcade shooting with those guns on thick metal telephone wires or whatever. I think it was virtua cop 2 or something. Never played 'em much, but man, that shooting while pointing on screen is the best concept for a shooter ever. It's such a niche genre which bothers me. I remember playing that die hard shooter on rail on the playstation, man, was bruce willis ever so cool!

I agree very much. I was born and grew up in the 90's. I wasn't able to play the arcade games back then, but playing them on home consoles now makes me realize the more recent games have honestly gotten boring. I loved my Sega Genesis, NES, and SNES. The Xbox 360 is boring. It's like the companies are not trying to be bold and fun anymore. I'd like to operate my own arcade and have all of the good underrated classics. Or be a game designer myself and try to bring back that magic. =D

I, however found it very lacking. Even back in Virtua Cop you could unlock stuff like big heads and mirror mode and stuff and in Ghost Squad you unlock new weapons, skins and paths to take. There is absolutely NOTHING of that in this game, which I think is a bit of a shame.

This game looks better than 99% of the ultra-HD-shaders-bump-mapping-­next-gen games. It just looks amazing on my TV. This is called: good art direction, something that most parte of the games nowadays don't have.

i agree that this game looks pretty good for its time - good art direction really is what makes a game great - i was amazed by uncharted 2 recently -but today´s shader technology you mentioned shouldnt be underestimated - i think it ads alot.

@UHeinrich Yes, shaders and all, they're a great addition, but if you compare the games from this gen with the previus gen, you can tell that, nowadays, we have much less creativity in terms of visuals.
