Hello were a new Black Owner company were looking for friend to be add to us will you help.remyhairrus please look at our site were looking for lady friends from your facebook page friend list .
I owned a beauty supply store a few yrs. I couldn't compete with the Koreans. My 2 cases of this and that compared to their 10-20 cases of this and that. ppl would travel an extra 5 blks to save 25 cents too. Quickly led to my lost of entrepreneurship. LOL! BTW! it's easier to maintain natural hair (stronger, more elasticity) than perms, weaves, etc. back in the day an inexpensive shampoo conditioner, a comb, brush & some bergamont oil and I was good, LOL! don't need all these fancy products.
Aww man. Did she know she would be on youtube :(? I am all for taking the industry back. Being nature is great. You have to learn a new way of taking care of your hair. It's hard at times but as you try things and learn to be gentle, you see success. You may rip some of it out for a while (as it gets longer lol) but you do learn from the journey. I do feel that black hair products need to be revamped. I would like for them to add better ingredients to the products..ike jojoba oil. Please!!
Were Asian and we sell to black people 100 percent please contact us by email if you want to make money contact us we sell you 100 percent human wigs and Pure weaves Remy .
Haa, I didnt want to go off topic, but I feel that certain things needs to be addressed so that we can have a full understanding as to why we do the things we do as a people. A lot has been done to us& its about time we embrace one another& talk some things out or have discussions about whats bothering us versus getting angry with each other and burying wounds for temporary reasons. Our issues are deep rooted in so many ways that its going to take time for us to heal. Its about time for it
I feel that our personal experiences& what we read about one another in the papers& what the media says about us makes us untrusting of one another. These sort of things makes it damn near impossible for us to come together in droves especially if we believe everything we hear about our own people. Some of the things we do to one another, we wouldnt dare do to someone of another race and this needs to stop. Once this happens, we can turn things around for the better.
It definately isnt easy to not show tough love with fellow blks because of our aggressive nature at times, but I feel that its possible to give each other the benefit of the doubt. I cant see how its not possible for blcks to be just as successful in our own businesses as other races in this country, besides the fact that some of us arent willing to support one another for a plethora of reasons. This issue goes deeper for its not just about hair; its about what we've been through as a people
It seems that we as blcks are gentle&calm with people of other races whereas we're defensive& aggressive with our own. I understand how our people are&sometimes we fly off at the mouth about things we dont understand instead of having a more compassionate natural towards each other. Lets not bash each other for not being very knowledgable about particular issues& be more caring to educate one another passionately because people will start to view it as being genuine. We can accomplish this
I cant deny that it bothers me that people of other races benefit from what blks obviously arent paying attention to. No one else on the planet uses the hair products we use& yet others are banking off of our ignorance. Also, I feel that we need to be careful as to how we come at one another. I often feel a certain level of animosity when it comes to how blks view one another on what we feel we should be doing in our communities. Its best I think to have an understanding nature versus bitterness
I feel that wm of african descent definately should have the right to style their hair as they see fit; however, its important to also embrace the natural texture & look of what grows out of our scalps. There are too many resources out here for anyone not to be in the light of how to care for their own God given tresses.Just because Ive decided to go natural& embrace my hair doesnt mean that Ive the right to expect other wm to do the same. Its a personal decision that each person has to make
When you know better, you do better. Not to make any excuses for people with limited knowledge, but like a lot of women of african descent, I had my first perm when I was a child. A lot of us dont even know what our natural hair looks like and with that, some wouldnt even know how to take care of it. However, its not like we cant learn how to care for it; its just a process and many african wm just prefer to stick with what they've known for the majority of their lives.
I'm proud of my beauitful healthy, long natural hair. Of course black women are getting weaves because their hair is breaking from those chemicals. When I was using relaxers I had problems with the relaxer giving me hair loss, hair breakage and chemical burns. My hair would grow a certain inch and start breaking when I had a relaxer and it made it seem like my hair could not grow long. Now that I'm natural I got hair down almost to my butt.
most black women dont take care of their REAL hair so other people do not want it. There is NO demand for it. Maybe to help clean up the ocean. Everyone can donate hair to clean up the ocean. She is right black women are always change up their hair.
the problem is BLACK PEOPLE blaming everything and everyone for there own lack of knowledge, leadership skills,NOT being able to save money and LACK OF LOYALTY TO THE FELLOW BLACK PERSON. PLEASE THINK about this carefully from a point of view outside of black persons perspective.
I'll be real i love it when african american women don't apply different colors to there hair because black hair looks way better. And as far as weave go's if that's what they wear then i can't stop but i'm not a big fan of weave because these day's african american women be looking like there clowns from the ringling brother's circus.
UrbanTimes, unfortunately you'll have a hard time separating black women from their weaves, no matter how ridiculous they look. The funny thing is, I reckon the ones with the most ridiculous weaves either have low paid jobs, or don't work at all, yet they are able to spend large amounts of money on the hair. Where are the priorities?
You're ridiculous! STFU hair is mad cheap as low as $5 a pack for synthetic hair which is most likely what the woman featured in the vid is wearing...
I think it was bold of you to make fun of a person who took the time out of her day to help you with a documentary, and then you got her on here trying to make a fool outta her, that was low.
credit00ster-I see what you are saying but at the same time she is making a fool out of herself walking around with funny looking weave on her head. She is setting herself up for a laugh. People will embarrass you, especially if they see that you are embarrassing yourself. Just like it was low of him to make this video clowning her, it was low of her to walk around with that funny looking weave on her head.
Hello people...those billions are our childrens college, our home mortages, our tithes and offerings, our cars, our vacations, our weddings, our savings, our investments, our business, our advancement, our canidate support, ours! We work hard so be careful where we spend our hard earned dollar and where it goes.
ok-most black woman may hate their hair-but i dont-im natural n my hair is not dry or dirty and it def grows. Its not the Koreans fault for makin their money. It shouldnt matter who is getin the money as long as the consumer is happy.
Im black and my hair doesn't grow nappy or into an afro
Even if i wanted to go natural i simply can't
it's not in my phenotype (active genes, the ones you can "see")
to have nappy hair. It's just straight and people assume i'm wearing a weave but then they try to find a track and they can't because i don't wear weaves because i simply don't need to
about 1% of african-descent people have straight hair
Afro-hair is not dirty looking or ugly, and it can grow, just like any other race hair. The problem that people face with afro hair is lack of knowledge on how to care for and maintain length. With knowledge afro hair can acheive the desired length and health. BTW, afto hair is dry, but that can be remedied with natural oils and water. It is the excessive dryness caused by heat and chemicals that cause it to break which makes it seems t like it does not grow.
I think it would be wiser to wear a wig because a wig is not as bad on your hair as the chemicals that are popular and you can save money with wigs because you dont have to get it done over and over again and keep paying over and over again
this is a serious matter. you shouldnt put those silly captions in your vids. I don't mind giving people my money for a good product but what I object to is that the Koreans are trying to block us out of the beauty supply business altogether. They are now making their own hair colors, hot combs, etc that many black companies are making, and refusing to stock them in their stores. See Aron Ranen's hair documentary
koreans r just giving people what they want--they bought out black owned business...is that a crime? People like their Korean hair n they kinda own all the beauty supply stores ive ever seen. Its not a crime--just a monopoly---happens all the time
The amount of money that Black People spend of their hair geos into the billions,so for the brothers out there in need of a job learn how to be a barber of a hairdresser it has got to beat being broke not having money and go get ot be around woman that like to look nice too. Some of these beuty salons make sixfigure incomes .And hair care products make billions of dollars.
educating black people about birth control and the importance of saving along with investing are also ways of strengthing the community ,this is not just good for black people it is good for the country as a whole
I dont go to Columbia I just said that to get her to talk to me. And the reason for the video is to get the attention of african americans so they can see how spending money outside of the black community slows the progress of the blackpeople in the USA .I dont blame the koreans or anybody else, it is black people that refuse to spend a portion of their money in community that are making a mistake.Spending more money in your community will create jobs and reduce crime.
you told her that this video was a documentary for school and it was used this way and portrayed her as a pun , she can sue you for defamation of character and win because of this video, and the comment above. If I were you I would revise.
this doesn't make sense. "putting money in other people's pockets." Duh, it's business. Any business is going to take money out your pocket and put it into someone else's. And you go to Columbia?
My english is fine. Other than me not putting the word "of" between "out...your", but there's limited characters we can use to make our points. I didn't get a degree in English, so I don't really care. I'm just saying.
I do understand the point you are trying to make about this industry, but I don't think there is a "monopoly." The Koreans are obviously working hard to hold onto this market. This video just causes division in the minds of simpletons. "They took our jobs!"-southpark
it's not the Koreans fault the reason why Black women buy thier hair products. The reason why hair is a big deal and Koreans can make big money off of Black women in the first place is because if you haven't noticed, we have the most unmangaeble hair of any race! of course we might buy more to keep our hair looking nice. I personally don't have a problem with Black women wearing weaves or perms. it's their hair, and more power to the Black women who wear thier own hair. but you're talking about
a race of women that for 300yrs couldn't take care of themselves and keep themselves up like the other women in other races. in all actuality, other race of women don't even need too many products for thier hair like Black women do. we deserve it. So why don't you just support more Black businesses in the hair industry? that should be more of a focus...
Well do you think that the woman who created the hair products did it to look more exceptable to white people, and that is not excepting your self for who and what you are.How can some one say that wearing another races hair is something you EARNED that does not make sense!!
There are women out there that wear perms, but they do not wear weaves, only thier realy hair, do you feel that those women are self hating? they are comfortable with thier own hair. on the other hand you have women that wear weaves. that doesnt necessarily mean they hate they hair, or they selves. there are some women that actually do hate their own hair but hey, you have idiots in every race. i do feel that black women wear weaves/perms the same reason someone would buy a car. lets just face
it, its easier to get around in. someone might not want a car because they think it's healthier to just walk where they have to go, or take public transportation, a women might wear natural hair because its healthier. someone might buy a car because its easier to do things faster, you can get up and go, you can do so much and its faster. there are even different styles of cars! so much veriety. women might wear a weave/perm because you can just up and go w/o the hastle, and because there is
so much VERIETY! we may be the only race that does that but what's the problem? seriously. white women have the breast implants and all this injections and surgeries... lip injections, butt implants. ARE THEY SELF HATING TOO? ninjas get on the sistas about hair all the time, just dont get with a sista with weave or perms if you dont like it! that solves your problem. you dont see the caucasian men gettin on they women about all that surgery they get. shalom brother.
and BTW... invest in black businesses. maybe you should get a hair shop up yourself or something... all this money thats going into it.. shoot that's not even a bad idea... you got me over here thinking.
Black people who buy hair products from other groups,or from another race are sell outs.I think that if african americans started to buy hair products from their own kind we cuold employ half of the unemployed african americans.
First off white women let alone korean women want kinky hair black women don't even want kinky hair that's the purpose of weave & perms its easier to manage & with weave you just get up & go. The black hair industry does not have to be saturated by korean owners for every grant they and other races get blacks get 100 more. Correct me if I'm wrong but I've seen black owned hair stores come & go & its all because they see the cash flow & the money gets to their head causing them to waste money
AMEN AMEN AMEN TO ALL OF THE POSITIVE RESPONSES AND KIND WORDS THIS VIDEO WAS FOR EYE OPENING PURPOSES

Why would a Korean woman buy anyone else's hair for her head? Asians already have some of the thickest, longest hair on earth.

it, its easier to get around in. someone might not want a car because they think it's healthier to just walk where they have to go, or take public transportation, a women might wear natural hair because its healthier. someone might buy a car because its easier to do things faster, you can get up and go, you can do so much and its faster. there are even different styles of cars! so much veriety. women might wear a weave/perm because you can just up and go w/o the hastle, and because there is

so much VERIETY! we may be the only race that does that but what's the problem? seriously. white women have the breast implants and all this injections and surgeries... lip injections, butt implants.
