Where could I get cheap extentions? I hair is about 3 or so inches longer than shoulder length, and I do this hairstyle a lot, but my bun is much smaller looking than yours. I would probably only use the extentions for hairstyles like these.. and i don't have too much money.

This is great, I tried it today and it was super easy and looks awesome. I got complements on it by a couple of the girls at work! my hair is really fine so mine was much smaller than yours. I imagine it would have been somewhat the same had you not had extensions so I'm not worried. What does yours look like without extensions, could you post a pic or something? I just want to see if I was anywhere near close :)

Im going to do this tonight for my friends graduation :) Im going to add my friends platinum blonde extensions (I have dark blonde hair) so it has different colored blondes going through the braids and a really pretty big yellow/orange flower from walmart on the side. Hey I have been told for me to not wash my hair everyday but it gets super greasy after a day it looks like I have not washed my hair for days and I only put hairspray in it because of that, do you know a trick that would make my hair not so greasy so fast?

@karumi834 same thing with me.....i don't know if this will help but i know that you can buy dry shampoo (in bottles like hairspray) and you can jut spray it in your hair and brush it through hope this helps :)

@karumi834 dry shampoo is the best bet on the second day. just dont by rock-a-holic by TIGI. it works well, but you can only get like 4 uses out of it. I like snappi brand if you can find it online. its a pink bottle. spraying some of that in your roots in the morning will help soak up the oils!!

@karumi834 it is kind of a bit of a myth that you cant wash your hair everyday, you can, but just make sure you use a shampoo that is for frequent use, and dont condition everyday. x

I have a question to ask you! I really want to put turquoise highlights in my hair and my hair is dark like yours so I know I'd have to bleach those parts. But I'm wondering what dye I'm supposed to use? I'm going to go to the salon but I don't want to use something that will wash out and I have to keep redying but I didn't know if there are permanant hair dye for wild colors? It would really help if you could answer my question. :)

@mobandy64 no matter what you are going to have to re color it... bright colors like that fade SUPER fast. Reds, purples, blues, greens etc. so you want to make sure you buy some of the color for at home use so you can frequently color it. I would look into Manic Panic.

I love the braided bun, my hair is super thin so I would probably need extensions just to make the bun look bigger... that or I would have to really give my hair a lot of volume beforehand... I will have to try this look though, it's super cute and offers a nice dressed up bun.

@99sra just use LOTS of bobby pins and you will be fine. also bobby pin the inner parts of the bun not just the outer parts

Beautiful Hairstyle... I always thought that with the Extensions that the Peices that connect the hair peice in would stick out if you wore your hair up.. (silly me) they must make them a whole lot different now..The older ones would stick out if you tried to wear your hair up..
