  • this is why i sell cars, where i sell them. our dealership prices all of our cars at 1 to 2% over invoice, there is very little wiggle room, we want to sell you the right car. it does not matter what you pay for it, you have to like it. obviously ALL dealers are in the biz to make money. we can't give away a car, but not ALL dealers are this way. we have upfront pricing, and my job as a salesman is to sell you on the car. We even have a 3 day return policy. WOW!

  • A salesman sells over 100 cars a year. People buy a car once every 5 years. You will never "beat" a salesman, period. There will always be a profit, and there is always someone looking to buy the same car as you. If you walk away from the salesman it just means you wasted their and your time and you still need to find a car. Everyone knows a car is a bad investment so if you need one face the facts and just man up and buy the damn thing.

  • @donato282888 okay, so an item that gets your kids to school, gets you to work and back, gets you to the grocery store, church, ballgames, on vacations and other places, AND does all of this safely and in varying levels of comfort is a bad investment. HUH? The bad investment comes when you go to a dealership with no clue as to what the market price is for the car you want and when you have not done your research to make sure you get the best deal.

  • INTERESTING VIDEO..... THERE WAS A COMMENT DOWN THE CHAIN ABOUT THE SALESPERSON REALLY NOT MAKING WHAT PEOPLE CLAIM THEY DO. tHIS IS PRETTY TRUE AT TIMES THE COMMISION CAN BE GOOD, THANKS TO CAR BUYING TIPS OR HELPFUL TOOLS PEOPLE WALK INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND THINK ITS QUITE OK TO MAKE THE SALESPERSON WORK FOR HOURS FOR A SMALL COMMISION. IF THEY WERE IN THE SALESPERSONS SHOES THEY WOULDNT APPRECIATE IT TOO MUCH. WALK INTO WALMART AND NEGOTIATE A PRICE FOR YOU TV AND WATCH THEM LAUGH IN YOURFACE

  • @ghlary thats not true all the times, i go to walmart and ask for them to lower the price just because the box is damaged even. It doesn't hurt to! I shop around compare before I buy as well. Something that is very important is that they do very well on their inventory turnover as well as days in inventory..anything is possible

  • @partyman1116 you sound like the Dumbass. For a business owner you seem very un professional.

  • This is by far the dumbest thing I've ever heard! Lol I've been running my dealership for 8 years there is way to much technology to make buying hard, 80's are over lol. @ thedenimvault, you are a dumbshit, truecar.com is owned by autotrader dealers sign up for it. It only shows the dealers who sign up and it let's the dealers make money lol just a better marketing tool. I would bet you have an 88 tempo or something and live in your parents basement. Lol and if you have a job would you do it fo

  • I think this guy got put together more than once. Buying a car is easy, just buy from me. I have fair market value pricing.

  • First of all, it not $6500 worth of mark-up on a $26,k more like $2800 to $3,k. Please make up real life scenarios when using examples.

  • You want the truth? Let's say a dealership would like to sell a new car at the lowest $20,000. So they mark it up to $26,000.

You come in and say I want $3,000 off. They say no, but can do $2,200. You may be able to get up to $2,500.This leaves the dealership with $3,500+ what they would have made if they sold it at $20,000.

They only made you feel like you got a deal, when you didn't. The only dealerships I know who does not do this is VOLKSWAGEN. They have honest prices and don't cheat you.

  • This is about the Stupidest Video!!! Nice tool to try and fuck your customers!!! Bet they all trust ya after this one!! Panama City Fl!!

  • come on this is some oldschool buying garbage. you go in with this approach and every salesman will see this crap from a mile away

  • There are so many false stereotypes with car salesman, that really hurt the industry. The days of getting "beat up" in a car deal are far behind us. Salesman are subject to reviews on cars they sale (randomly chosen customers), and if the salesman has a rough reputation he wont last PERIOD. In my experience, the customer lies more frequently than the salesman. And salesman are not always well compensated. More often then not, barely getting by if just starting out with no repeat business.

  • Just as there are many dealers out there, there are also many buyers. I run a dealership that strictly deals in exotic and luxary cars, but I did have to toil away in new car stores for many years. Best advice I would give to salespeople or buyers for that matter is " You can't overcome stupidity!"

  • @demian...from a car salesman to another, calm down buddy. We get more than one way to squeeze a profit on each vehicle. Even if sold at retail the dealership stil makes a profit on it. Besides you and I know we dont tell EVERYTHING to prospectors and customers as well.

  • The dealer makes money and has to pay the salesman the general manager the floor manager and the finance manager. He also has to pay the techs who do the pre delievery insepection on the vehicle new or pre owned. No body is getting rich even if you pay sticker. The salesman is just trying to eat for one more month. If you can't afford the payment on the car or truck you want move to a less expensive unit and stop asking to pay less than what the dealership paid to get it there. MORON

  • @WayneChevrolet Also, Bluebook is just a guide. Bluebook has never bought or sold a vehicle in the entire history of it's existance. If I had a dime for every time someone wanted to pay wholesale for a new car or truck and wanted retail value for their trade I WOULD be rich. I've even shown these fucking morons the invoice with up to 5K in rebates less. and they still want more. Go fucking sell your trade to Bluebook if they will buy it from you.

  • @WayneChevrolet anyone worth a damn goes and uses truecar pricing. the fact you're calling people morons and sweaing shows you're some kind of piece of shit "wayne chevrolet" no wonder chevy is going out of business. just look at your work ethic. the time when car sharks were rolling in cash is over. with the internet all your little secrets and sell down tactics/ holdbacks have been revealed. maybe car companies will be smart and shut down stealerships and sell cars online LOL!

  • @thedenimvault You sound like the morons who also want the holdback so the dealership makes no profit at all on the vehicle. But hey it's ok, the dealership does'nt need to pay the electric bill or a lot fee every single day each car or truck sits on the lot. You could buy a car online. Do you want to drive it first? Moron?

  • @WayneChevrolet you should've thought of that before you dropped out of school. anyone who knows what they want will watch the thousands of review videos & make an informed decision based off of that. someone who wants a cruze will buy a cruze no matter how bad it is. I bought my g37 w/o test driving it for $12k off MSRP. sitting in the driver seat w/some fat slob salesman who keeps talking and annoying the shit out of me isn't my idea of a "testdrive". get a real job, MORON.

  • @WayneChevrolet hahaha faggot watches justin beiber videos and subscribes to shitty emo faggots channels. i bet your daddy beats you because he can't sell any cars and can't pay for your internet so you can waste youtube bandwidth all day long because your family is broke. hick trash.

  • always remember if the customer is talking he or she is telling lies.not their fault they just dont know what the hell they r doing.they use terms like "out the door" because they think thats our lingo and could'nt b more wrong.alot of these vids tell u not to tell them if your trading your car untill the end of negotiations or those lieing salesmen will take advantage,so basically you have turned yourself into a liar 4 nothing.once a salesman knows your a liar he has no resepct 4 u

  • @damien942b The dealer makes money and has to pay the salesman the general manager the floor manager and the finance manager. MORON

  • Also find a repuatable local dealer to you that you can have a relationship with in sales and service. It pays to do business local and be loyal.

  • Here is the best advice. Remember dealers are in business to be profitable just like any other business. Dont go in their with a stank attitude and be rude. Be kind and couteous and you will get back a good experience. Dont offer invoice offer a fair profit over their cost that works for you and the dealer its really easy. Depending on the brand and car some ask for thousands over invoice (higher end cars) some ask for hundreds over invoice ( low end cars all about volume).

  • Brilliant video, the comments below from some extremely pissed off 'car dealers' just show how useful these tips are.

  • @ryanaus04 LOL, as a finance manager I could care less what the sales guys get from a customer, that being said you go ahead and use your tricks you learned from this little video, any salesperson worth anything will see you coming from a mile away with what you feel is hot insider info lol. I hope whatever job you do you get idiots try to fuck with your income. If you want a good deal and to be fair then go with Costco pricing.

  • What a load of garbage! There needs to be a training video for sales people on how to deal with customer tactics.

  • Nice video. A faggot teaching others to be weak faggots.

  • The profit margin on milk is alot higher than a car. The average profit for a new car is around $300 dollars.

  • Comment removed

  • @kortni52 You are comparing milk to a car? Wow!

  • @kortni52 Please delete your YouTube account. IDIOT.!

  • In my opinion, ppl shouldnt buy shit they cant afford. At the same time, I know dealerships need to make a proffit, but if they take your trade off your hands for the payoff price (say $9K) and then turn around and sell it for $17K, I think thats a little excessive. And if your a salesman who doesnt like what you get paid because you "only get a low commission"...find a new fucking career. Just sayin...

  • There's a big variable they left out. And that is your credit. You only have that power to walk away and feel confident if you excellent credit. Bc if u have screwed up credit u can't even get approve or if u do u might end up paying like am extra 10k in interest Ive seen it happen folks

  • (continued)

Extra necessities like Cold + Hot air conditioning, Anti-Lock brakes, vehicle skid control (for rain), Anti-Theft, Oil Maintenance reminder, Power Windows and Power Door locks, ETC. are important options you should get.

  • (continued)

Otherwise save $14,500 and buy a Brand New regular Five Passenger Car. A Brand new Dependable car can last for 20 years (300,000 miles) if you maintain it well. The purpose of a car is for transportation. Some people prefer 5 Passenger trucks because it can load things. In America it's more useful. Trucks run about $24,000+.

  • (continued)

Having a job that pays $20.00 doesn't mean you can afford a Mercedes. It just means you have a job that pays $20.00, enough to make $750 "monthly" payments. The best bet is to buy a used car that's dependable. That way you can pay in full. Have a trusted mechanic inspect the car before buying. See if there are any defects. The last thing you want to do is pay $10,000 for a car that will end up with lots of problems.

  • Plus you're living off monthly payments for 5 years which to me is a long time thus causing constrain in life. I can save 5 years for a car but find it bothersome to pay measly $500 payments for 5 years. 2 1/2 years is long enough to get to your conscience. You shouldn't loan a car without a guaranteed job or have enough money to meet monthly payments. That's why Banks want to make sure you are making enough money just in-case you overspend.

  • Here's how I see car buying. Ask a friend or an expert about cars and the car buying process. Take some time to think about it yourself & do some research. When you know what you want and saved enough money to pay for the car, its better to pay for the car in full. When you loan a car there are monthly payments and finance charges involved. It could get complicated down the road.

  • People are Idiots. Car Salesman arent all trying to fuck you over. But you have to be realistic. Why should I give a car to you at the same price we bought it for? If every car dealership did that you'd have to take your cheap ass thousands of miles away to the manufacturer and get your own car. There is a difference in getting fucked and paying for something above what we by it at. People dont realize that car salesman have to make a living and feed there kids do. So dont be selfish when buying

  • i get $50 per car and i work at a major dealer ship.. the money is garbage,, fk people who think car were a joke.. fk u all.

  • @dnward1985 that suck i thought you were supposed to get a percent of sales commission selling cars

  • @dnward1985 You are getting screwed, just saying, might need to change dealerships. If I made 50 bucks a car I would quit!!

  • This is the worst video I have ever seen in my life

  • none of this is true. at all.

  • You have to spend money to make money. People want everything these days for nothing. This is why our economy is the way it is. So don't hate on the sales person he has kids and a house just like u.

  • salesmen will fuck people that don't know

    shit!!

  • I never mentioned incentives or bonuses...you are correc though

  • Step.8 don't feel bad because sales people get paid well??? This is a joke.....if a sales person sells you the car at MSRP they make like $300.00 at invoice is $100.00 dollars....get straight to the point and tell them the price u want that way it becomes a yes or no transaction.......trust me sales people don't want to spend hours negotiating for $100.00 .....

  • @themistah Per transaction, your statement is correct, however at the dealership I work at, monthly and yearly sales incentives can nearly double your annual salary. We get about 2-3 people per month willing to pay about 15% higher than the average sale..... and let me assure you, we make significantly more than $300 on those sales ; )

  • its funny how car buyers negotiate a car deal down to couple hundred bucks and finance the purchase for 5 years.

  • @golfmaniac007 at a crazy interest rate and love it

  • They should add a whole other video about the what to do when they send you to finance to sign all the paperwork because that is where they get you.

  • FYI to the original poster, the dealer does not make an offer, the deal is the price of the car is MSRP.

if the customer doesn't want to pay that price, it's up to the customer to make the offer no the dealer...

  • the best way to get things is online now and buying a car is no different you dnt have to deal directly with the dealers or even see there faces thats why i like the website "carshen "so convenient

  • GOOGLE this & you be surprised? what you discover.

! Richest men and The Most Overpaid People in The World !

  • @wendyjorge1 Richest, Overpaid ? LOL!

  • 38 car salesmen have watched this video

  • did anyone try carshen dot com ? Let dealers bid. they claim it can save 3000 dollars on a car purchase... any feedback from carshen dot com?

  • Car buying isn't stressful... Never go while you are hungry, go with a friend or two to make sure you don't do something stupid and to keep you happy and occupied, know exactly what you want, find it online (never ever compromise), decide your price, and see who will give it to you for that price... If it gets too boring waiting for them, tell them you'll leave and come back. That'll get them moving! Did it a year ago and got a fabulous deal on my car.

  • why would a car dealer make this video?

  • This video is retarded. I would recommend the person that made this video to go and sell cars for a year. I'm sure his/her out look would change drastically. Professional sales people work very hard for there customers.

  • @Wizzgigging Amen!

  • lmao! really? who ever made this video is a joke. Sales Reps (car salesmand) we are proffesionals not some hustlers. We provide for our families just as everyone else. Just bring it!

  • if anybody goes off your advice they will end up buying the biggest piece of crap that no other customer wanted!

  • ha, really? maybe if you had a decent salesperson who "SOLD YOU THE CAR" you would happily pay the money, btw sometimes vehicles are sold at a loss, you have no authority in making that claim! and lastly, if you think about the so called "profit in a vehicle, it is not like the profit is "pure profit" it goes back into paying for power, phones, leases on the land or building, ALL OF THE STAFFS WAGES, etc so dude seriously get your facts strait,

  • @moooellen

Well if your dealership is in financial trouble that's your problem, why should I pay for your poor finance management?I can always go to some other dealership.

  • dealership is like a police station. cops and detectives are the salesmen. you are the criminal they watn to lock up in the car and price. lol

  • This video is wrong... Most people try to low ball the dealer and with new cars there is not any mark up in the cars so dealers are not making really anything off of the cars but people still think that their making 1000's. So believe it or not when the dealer says it's ok for you to leave and this is the best we they can do you should buy the car because their not going to let you go if they can sell a car.

  • The problem with "simply walking out" of the dealership because you didn't get the price you wanted is that it's usually unreasonable. Most people today are buying small, fuel-efficient cars because gas is anywhere from $3.50-$4/gallon, and small cars have very little markup in them. Therefore, saying you can go to another dealership and get the "best" price is folly because they will all most likely be the same, especially if the rebates are taken away by the manufacturer.

  • you can go into walmart and bargain your price you can bargain on anyprice just most people are to scared to if you feel like its a bad price for you and the store or person wont bargain then walk away and go somewhere that will!!!!!!

  • Pick a car and options.

Send an email to 6-10 dealerships asking for best price for exact car with exact extras. Let them know you are checking with others.

After receiving responses give number 2 and 3 a chance to try to beat the best price you've gotten.

Once you've gone back and forth by email and gotten the best price, simply walk in the dealership with the email.

I spent less then 30 minutes and walked out the door with the car keys and there was zero stress or negotiation on site.

  • @nerveclinic Is your last name Gupta? What kind of Honda or car did you get? Most places won't email their "best" price anymore. Playing the dealers against each other is an old joke and they aren't stupid.

  • This is the dumbest how to buy a car video ever it will only ruin your car buy if you dont know what yuor doing the best way to buy a car is trust your own instincts. These people dont just want to make you buy a car their way how dum if you agree with the price and monthly payment then take the car!!

    \

  • The BEST way to NOT get a good deal is to be an A HOLE to the salesman. We will KICK you off the lot so fast. Cause we will get another customer and make money either way... one monkey don't stop the show!

  • I am a sales person and all I hear people say is tgat they would rather have a good expeirence and get the car for a good price, we ask yall what payment your trying to stay at so we can put you on the right car not over charge you. Example.... You want to be at 200 a month well tbis 10k car we be good for you because with intrest included and down payment you will be there.

  • @ashtonjcmay88 You ask us what payment we are trying to stay at so you can haggle and manipulate us, not help us get into a good car.

The final overall price (including interest, fees, and other cost) is whats important, not the monthly payment.

  • everone who disliked this video sells cars- we work very hard and longer hrs than the people we sell car to, 12 hr days/6 day weeks away from my family- i made 7k April 2011 for my family and i- we deserved every penny- info vids like this effect the livelyhoods of us- we dont walk in to wal-mart and start negociating their prices, do you? or the last time you bought furnature or appliances? no, cause they will kick you the fuck out-

  • This is fcukin stupid. I used to sell cars and here it says "the dealer will never sell a vehicle at a loss" that is complete bullsht. All dealers have a certain goal for cars each month and have taken deals that lose them thousands on the car just so that the goal is met in order for the store to recieve bonuses. This video is showing dealerships that play "games" during the sale and how you should play the game which is seriously ridiculous. Find a dealership that is straight forward.

  • I went to Miller Honda and found them to be the biggest bunch of assholes and slimes in the LA Area. Bought my Honda elsewhere, thank god. Ironic they would do this video...

  • Very good video

  • just guys dont be dumb, think clearly. dont let them throw in "special packges" and whatnot. stick to your guns. he says be confident, i cannot stress that any more. thats the crucial part, if you show a weakness, just like a animal the salesman pounces on it.

  • good job

  • The dealer salespeople watch all this and know the tricks against the tricks buyers use. Its like they are five steps ahead.

  • To be honest, I never understood why cars needed dealers in the first place. Why can't one simply pay the price and buy it like any other goods.

  • BURY THEM ALL!!! $7 pounder :).....

  • 30 dislike probably car salesmen , haha

  • Well Paid. LOL!

  • hahaha what a joke if you went to a dealer instead of internet your gonna get schwacked

  • my dads filipino...... they <3 theyre cars and would do anything for theyre cars. lowballing experience breh

  • THUMBS UP FOR HONDA, thumbs down for dodge and chrysler(ehemGAGehem)

  • @aldensaurus fuck you you japanese car loving piece of shit

  • @cmarshall1018 your racist! why do you gotta so rude for. why you gotta use fowl langguage dumb fuck you realize that i was just joking who cares what kinda car you ride in. saying fuck me, fuck you too. shiit then i bet you after this comment your dumb bitchass is gonna try to have an internet war with me! stfu and lmtfa

  • @aldensaurus sorry about that i just hate how the japanese are destroying americas economy with with their cheaply made pieces of crap cars

  • @cmarshall1018 erggh sorry i used fowl language, japanese cars are good though only the 4cylinder cars. they save a lot of gas and have engines. i mean if you want a family car the american trucks work amazing <3, but if you want a van i'd go with japanese since they have nice designs. sorry about the language though

  • @cmarshall1018 actually the newer ones are pretty nice, depends on which one you get... the newer nissans and honda's are pretty nice inside.

  • @cmarshall1018 japans car market didnt collapse, united states did, just sayin, if they can make them for cheaper we all benefit.

  • ...yes auto salesmen make a comission....but they still get paid...and chances are...there is another buyer for the car...you should never feel bad about not buying the car....this video sucks...and is uninformitive...but if you take anything out of it remember confidence and never be guilted into buying a car....if they say i have bills to pay...you say im sorry to hear that but i do too and thats why im not buying this car for that price

  • Buyers are liars!

  • Some of you whining fuckers, not salesmen of course, but fuck me,going on line to learn how to buy a fucking car go out and talk to your salesman, you thought your bank manager was gods gift, look how he turned out,

  • Well said my man,get to the fuck in point, enough fuckers wasting our time, period

  • Ive been selling for 22 years and a deceptive buyer , playing a game is a waste of time. A real prospect is honest with the dealer, tells them what he wants to pay and they negotiate on that basis until both parties are satisfied, period.!!

  • Wow, seems like someone needs a new job. Doesn't look like you've made a lot of friends on here. I'm sure you're a wonderful salesman.

  • They usually take your licence/ID and come back later when you are all tired. Should you give them a paper copy of your license/ID, so whenever you have to walk out you don't have to hesitate to get your license/ID back?

  • This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Just give the dealer the number you want and leave if they don't meet it. The sales guy with either chase you out of the dealership or call you to either meet your price or give you the best price possible.

  • my favorite part is when they tell you NOT to discuss payment but in the video he's getting his clocked cleaned by the "crafty" manager who is closing him on payment. customers alway act like they've been to customer school and try to work off the bottom line, which is totally fine. the very next question is always...what's the payment...sheep i tell you! you're all sheep!

  • wow, how bout this video. i am a car salesman and to the idiot up there who said hes making a hundred dollars a car, do us all a favor and find something else to do. you obviously suck. if you people cant figure it out by now then whats the point? whats so wrong with profit? you call me a crook but yet you buy a burger at mcdonalds for 6 bucks more than what its worth, whose ripping who? walmart, dillards.. i bet your freakin shoes cost more than what the guy up there making a hundred a car

  • i used to sell cars... i hate to break it to the idiots writing these comments, but the video is actually correct. do not close on payment, or you want a $250 payment, then i will sell you a $5,000 car for 60 months for $250. now pull out the calculator and figure that out. A $250 payment is approx. $12,500 with about 6% interest for 60 months. now if you want to compare a phone to a car, well I guess you are an idiot. Compare a home to a phone and come buy my home.

  • I take it that the person who made this video use to be a salesman or at least tried to be one. F**k this video thats why all customer are brain washed with all this dumb so called knowledge. That has messed up this economy with all these bad tatics. Also don't trust Edmunds cause its all messed up they don't even sale cars. f**king LOSERS!!!!!

  • is purchase from a large corporation. Sewell out of Dallas is one of the best car dealerships in the US to buy from. Another tip is to buy from high volume dealerships. The more cars they sell the more money they get from the manufacturer. Thats how the managers get paid aswell. They are the dealerships that are more than likely going to sell you a vehicle below invoice. Stay away from buy here pay here lots.

  • I've been in the business going on 6 yrs. I've worked at a highline car dealership for the last year. The previous 5 yrs I've worked with some of the most worthless pieces of shits on the Earth. Anywhere from rapist's to shoot you name it. It's true 95% of the folks in this business are worthless fucks. You just have to find that 5% of the people in this industry that really want to help you out. The best advise I can give you on purchasing a new car and getting the best deal possible.

  • The people that made this video are ass clowns. Some car salesman suck but others are honest and understand they want a profit but the customer wants to feel they bought for a fair price. It has to be an agreement that works for both parties....most new cars are priced at MSRP about 2000 over invoice...that is it....

  • THE LAST THING I WILL SAY IS THIS. THEY ONLY WAY A DEALERSHIP WILL EVER GIVE YOU 2000.00 TO 3000.00 OF A VEHICLE IS ONLY IF THEY CAN MAKE IT UP IN THE BACK END OF IT SOMEWHERE. AND YES SOME DEALERSHIP ARE FULL OF GUNS FOR HIRE WHO ONLY WANT TO SCREW OVER A CUSTOMER, HOWEVER IF YOU GOTO A LOCAL DEALER WHO'S THERE TO MAKE A LIVING AND BUILD A CUSTOMER BASE, THEY'RE GOING TO DO THE BEST THEY CAN FOR YOU AND MAKE YOU A GOOD DEAL, AND WANT TO SELL YOU A CAR OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

  • I understand $2500.00 might be a huge profit to a dealership but come on they have to make money some how. If you have a problem with the price of a car then take it up with the manufacturer. They set the prices for what the car sells for not the dealer. I can say this and I have realized it first hand that if you want a vehicle and a dealer is willing to give you a discount then your getting a deal no matter what, someone is going to want the vehicle and probably pay MSRP for it if you don't

  • on top of all that. I've bought my last 3 vehicles from the same guy and he's a very good friend and I met him while buying a car. I never leave the dealership feeling cheated or lied too. I don't know if any of your Salesman haters have ever actually seen a dealer invoice, I have and I can tell you in no way does a dealer have a 20% mark up on a car. Thats just insane. I bought my Dodge Truck a month ago and even a 37,000.00 truck only had $2500.00 in margin from invoice to MSRP

  • @andrewlushia Thats why I walked into Martin Chevrolet in New Carlisle Ohio 2 years ago and they priced a 2008 Camaro $6000 over MSRP because of "market demands" and "limited availability". My heart bleeds.

  • @kbecker204 first of all, i'm sorry you had a bad experience buying a car. second of all that dealership is insane because what they were doing is called price gouging and it's very much so frowned upon by the manufacturer. However, If you bought that vehicle. That is your mistake. In an age where a person can find anything and everything on the internet, sell and even buy a car via the web. You should have done your research, and found a dealership that would sell it for MSRP.

  • @andrewlushia Actually I AM a LOT smarter than that. I went and bought a Ford instead.

Not only did the dealership loose my buisness, so did Chevrolet. Oh and since that happened the dealership was closed last year because of GMs faranchise restructing. Good ridence.

  • I love how people judge car salesman for 1) trying to make a living 2) for mistakes that other salesman have made 3) for the mistakes they've made themselves when buying a car and 4) for making more money than they do. Come on people. also i love when people on here try to say that car dealerships make a killing off of vehicles. WRONG!!!. I have multiple friends in the car business and yes they do very well for themselves but thats not without doing some VERY hard work.

  • @andrewlushia Yeah I know right. Car salesmen get a really bad undeserved reputation of trying to rip people off.

    Give me a break byuddy.

  • @ClutchFan1971 It's people like you that give car salesmen a bad name, people like you spread that bullshit. It' just a way for you to get over being an idiot who can buy a vehicle properly because you don't do your homework. I have over 5 dealerships within 20 miles of me that all sell the same cars. I find out who has the lowest fees, then I go into that dealer and I buy the car. It's a matter of working for yourself then having a dealer work for you.

  • @andrewlushia Ha!I People like me give them a bad name? What a laugh. Maybe if they didn't try ripping off everyone that walked in to their dealership they wouldn't have the reputation they do.

Sticking up for car salesman (like you're doing) is almost as bad as defending a pedophile. Car salesmen are some of the slimiest people on the planet.

  • @ClutchFan1971 haha slimy? we're just trying to pay the bills buddy, I bet that i would make a sweet voucher of a laydown like you lol, the ones that act tough are the biggest schmucks. I used to make the biggest pounders off of "tough" clients like you -_- smh

  • @nevikselarom Yeah...sure ya would. You would be better off trying to ripoff some 80 year old widow or a young kid that just got his license. That's what you guys are REALLY good at doing. Taking advantage of people that have no idea what they are doing.

Guys like you were the punks that used to get beat up and shoved in to lockers in HS. Now you're trying to show how badass you are by ripping off people to make up for it. What a sad little disgusting life you lead.

  • @ClutchFan1971 Beat up? Shoved into lockers? haha I grew up in the inner city of Los Angeles, people in my highschool didn't get shoved into lockers they got stabbed or they would get beat up with small bats that they made in woodshop class and if you really got out of line you would get killed and the police didn't care to find the suspect cuz they jus say it's gang related and then forget about it, I'm 6'0' 185 lbs Iv'e been boxing since 1997 I doubt I'm getting beat up anytime soon

  • @ClutchFan1971 hey what did you call me, try doing what we do and lets see how long you last with customers like you

  • hey dealer... you say you made $75 to $125 per car, and sold 500 cars last year?? you do realize that's a minimum of $37,500 and maximum of $62,500 you made in a year !!!!!!!!!!!! suck it up and get over yourself. work for your money like the rest of us.

  • that guy would kicked right out our dealership for wasting our time thinking he is a smart arse.. we get paid next to nothing, only get 4 days off a month, work from 8:30 to 7PM and have to put up with people who THINK we make 'millions' and were all there just to rip poeple off. we are actually there to solve someones problem or situation and give the best financial advice that will benefit the customer.

  • @blacknovaentertainm Translation you don't want people to know how to negotiate so you can make more money. I understand that you need to make a profit but you don't need to try using bullshit to scare people away from it. And what about the delay tactics dealers use and all the extra charges they try to tack onto the price afterwards. Why are you allowed to do that but anyone that waits patiently or comes in educated about what he wants needs kicked out.

  • @olstar18 i think what my friend meant when he posted that comment was that there's no money in cars these days. a car sale will usually bring a dealership only a couple to a few hundred pounds, especially dealerships which offer lowest price guarantees. "educated" people usually come in with overinflated values of what their trade-ins are worth, thinking that paying cash makes a car cheaper, or with an idea of what a car's worth based on billy joe bob next door selling his broken P.O.S.

  • @blacknovaentertainm youre crazy bro if you believe that--your friend is a weak dick salesperson ...i promise you my year to date at least tipples yours- get on the track!!!

  • @cbuck210 i can promise you i'm not lying.. this guy is my flatmate, and sometimes he makes less than minimum wage, while working 6 days a week about 12h a day.. try selling cars to scottish folk - it's not that easy =)

  • Shopping like that will get you screwed. I have only one question. Why would they need to give you a price on a vehicle when the sticker is already there. in addition to that if you have done your research already there is no need for you to haggle over price because you already found the vehicle you want online and knew the price walking in. To anyone who thinks that part of the buying process is hard grinding and nickel and dime your way through the deal be prepaired to be there for a while.

  • i sold 500 cars last year , and made 75 to 125 per car , get real there are few cars out there with more then 1000 profit in it

  • Oh my god... These people usually either get pounded because they try to out smart a pro that deals with these types of characters 20 times a day or they waist their time chasing a number they found off of Edmonds and no matter how many people tell them no they just don't get it... And at the end after much time waisted they save an extra $3 a month on their payment. I know, I'm a car salesman. There's no magic to car buying. Find a salesman you like and trust, find a car, buy it and move on...

  • @MrJasondark1 Strange how many car salesmen are on here trying to claim that we shouldn't try to negotiate prices. Its almost like you don't want us to ask questions or try to get rid of the bullshit charges some of you sneak in.

  • @olstar18 If a dealership is sneaking in BULLSHIT charges, then thats your job as a customer to know what your paying for. There is nothing a dealership can sell you that they don't inform you of. Everything from the price of the car , to sales tax, and even your inspection fee is listed on your purchase agreement. If a scumbag dealer is sneaking stuff in then it's your job to call them on it.

  • @andrewlushia Seems you missed the post I was replying to. He was trying to say that we shouldn't negotiate the price of a car and should just accept whatever is on the sticker.

  • Worlds worst Car Sales video.....THE END

  • nice joke....

  • eatmytool, i doubt that you are a salesman, what you said is totally unethical, probably flipping burguers somewhere driving your 89 taurus, living in the projects and having the government pay for everything else

  • what?! what happened to the last segment of this video. " Then after walking out of the dealership have a golly jolly 2-3 month period of wasting your time and the time of people trying to make a living and burning your image as a total dick in every other dealership in your hometown till nobody wants to deal with you anymore", but hey you saved that additional 200 dollars off the price and you got 150 more for your trade. You are done!!! congrats

  • also need to make sure they dont slip in an extended warranty onto your invoice. had a dealer tell me about the "warranty that came with the car" and how awesome it was. until i went to sign the invoice and saw an extra 1500 bucks added to the total. make sure to read over every part of the invoice to make sure the bottom line, before tax, is what you agreed to.

  • @eatmytool1.....you guys can talk all the smack you want..i got a great deal..i got all the money for my trade...IT REALLY DOSENT MATTER AS LONG AS YOU BUY CAUSE WHEN YOUR BROKE ASS IS BUYING A 15K KIA..LOL..YOUR ACTUALLY PAYING FOR MY 2010 ESCALDE FOR MY 3800 sq FEET HOUSE AND EVERYTHING ELSE.....YES IT IS MY JOB TO SELL CARS AND MAKE THE CUSTOMER THINK HE GOT A GREAT DEAL..HAHAHAHAHA...

  • @gzirl You would think someone of your impressive stature would be able to spell Escalade

  • @gzirl WOW...hey everybody...this person is a moron. It sounds like you've heard that glenn gary speech way to many times. BTW I see nothing wrong with a 15K Kia. They actually make pretty good cars now. I would never in my life be caught driving an escalade. They automatically say over compensating ass, or "oh hey look at that gang banger" I'd rather drive a Kia with an amazing warranty for a great price then pay for a 50K Cadillac with a 32% residual value.

  • JUST BE UPFRONT WITH THE SALESPERSON AND IN THE FIRST 5 MINUTES YOU KNOW IF HE/SHE IS A DIK, DUMB, NOT ALL THERE, JUST WANTS TO SCREW ME AND SON ON, AND GUESS WHAT IN THOSE FIRST 5 MINUTES YOU DONT KNOW THAT WELL YOUR A DUMBAZZ...IVE BEEN SELLING CARS FOR OVER 8 YEARS AND 95% PERCENT OF MY CUSTOMERS COME BACK TO ME. MY AVERGAGE IS 25 VECHILES A MONTH..SO I GUESS IM DOING SOMETHING RIGHT...DONT BE A DIK TO THE SALESPERSON AND HE WONT BE ONE BACK..BE NICE AND TRUST ME HE/SHE WILL BE COOL WITH YOU

  • @gzirl i agree. iam a auto consultant and i just go in there humbled & yet confident.

i bypass stupid remarks from salesman and just work on a price point for my customers.

i always thank them & his sales manager before i leave.

  • i love when, u have a trade in and they wanna pay wholesale on the trade, saying Blue Book is not good, but when you go outside in their lot they advertise cars BELOW BLUE BOOK VALUES,,..... STEALERS>>>not dealers..

  • @javito77 what you have to realize is that not every car that comes in on trade is sold at a dealership. 75% of all vehicles that a dealer takes in on trade is wholesaled. And Blue Book has lost their minds. The vehicle market is shit now. Trade in vehicles aren't worth anything anymore, and no matter what KBB or NADA says. A dealer is only going to give you what that market deems or vehicle is worth.

  • THIS VIDEO IS STUPID! IF YOU LIKE THE CAR MAKE A DEAL ON IT, DONT SPEND AN HOUR WITH THE SALESMAN AND THEN DONT BUY IT, THE SALESMAN IS GETTING PAYED COMMISSION NOT HOURLY. SO DONT WAST TIME. YOU DONT WANT TO SAY YOUR PRICE RANGE OR PAYMENT RANGE???WTF??? HOW BOUT YO WANT A $400 PAYMENT AND YOU ARE LOOKING AT A $50,000 DOLLAR CAR???IT DOSENT MAKE SENCE..WE AS SALESMAN HATE THIS, THATS WHY BEFORE WE EVEN TAKE A TEST DRIVE I SAY, IF YOU LIKE THE NUMBERS ARE YOU GONA MAKE A DEAL NOW? WHY WAST TIME

  • @gzirl because you lying bitches will use that information against the consumer to sell them some overpriced piece of crap and also screw them on their trade-in...thats why people hate car salesmen almost as much as lawyers.

  • @milchuck overpriced? thats the msrp of course if your dumbazz is looking at a $70,000 escalade and want a $300 payment of course its over priced because you cant affort it..dont you think that?,,,and what is fair trade in? because kkb is all bs, if it says your car is worth 15k you think you gona get all that? dude you have to deduct for tires, windshild if its been banged up and so on, if not ask kkb to cut you a check..good luck with that..lol

  • @gzirl you sure you sell cars because it "kbb" not "kkb". Also, thats supposed to be the industry standard for evaluating value of used vehicles..that or black book. And kbb already allows for the condition of the vehicle from normal wear and tear so no, they shouldnt be deducting for tires, etc unless its something above and beyond normal wear and tear. And I didnt say anything about wanting a $70K Escalade...a car salesman will try to sell you a $10K Hyundai for $20K if they can.
