"Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan" was originally a video game for girls and its anime version is also amazing and its animation is beautiful, too and a must-watch.

Its story is mainly about "Shinsengumi," which is commonly used as a plot for

anime. Both "Betrayal Knows My Name" and "Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan" are BL-ish but I don't think they are BL to be exact.

But I'm sure if you are a BL fan, you'll like it.

"Yami no Matsuei" is good but I also want to recommend two anime series that has started from April.

They're "Uragiri wa boku no namae wo shitte iru" (="Betrayal Knows My Name")

and "Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan". "Betrayal Knows My Name"has a similar ambience to "Vampire Knight". Its entire animation is beautiful and I really recommend it. Beautiful demon makes appearance in the anime instead of a vampire. I'm sure the fans of "Vampire Knight" love the anime.
