Indeed, I e-mailed you three years ago and suggested you might consider a film with the theme of those who DON'T make it, while the "MSM" seems to cover only those who did. This covererd that ground, as do the ghastly conditions worldwide today. (We in the US can complain, but I got e-mail from an engineer friend in India. He's facing a lay off too!)

I don't agree with Michael Moore on a number of issues, and no one can deny he is a propagandist but that being said so is FOX news.

I believe MM serves an desperately needed function in America. He gives a voice to the left which has has been forced into silence since before the cold war.

For a democracy to function properly the people need to hear opinions from all three political affiliations. Conservative, Liberal and Socialist. Thanks to MM now all three are being represented in the media

But the problem isn't capitalism, it's socialism.

George Bush was the biggest socialist to ever live.

What we've seen over the past 9 years (arguably the past 30 years) is corporate welfare run a muck!

When you hear "No Bid Contracts" think "Socialism".

Just because Chavez is a socialist doesn't mean that Bush isn't.

Bush Socialism is just socialism turned on his head.

Privatize the profits, socialize the gains.

When you ask the tax payer to pay to clean up pollution instead of asking the polluters, in an effort maximize corporate profits; that's socialism.

If Robbin Hood was a socialist for robbing the rich to give to the poor, that doesn't mean that Bush robbing the poor to give to the rich isn't still socialism.

Bush made it easier for corporations to do what ever they wanted. Gave the rich tax cuts. if your argument stood then the argument that corporations were socialist would too. Socialists aren't sponsored by corporations.

I think most people would agree that Welfare is a socialist concept (not saying that in a bad way). But I'm saying that corporate welfare is every bit as socialist as welfare for poor people.

If you are going to measure how socialist someone is, by the number of socialists acts they comment, then George Bush is the biggest socialist ever.

that would be the point of a economy.

What we've seen recently (by Micheal Moores own admition) is not capitalism. Or at least not the 1950's / Greatest Generation type capitalism.

I would argue that Chavez is the biggest socialist. Socialism is only socialism if it is socialism for everyone not the oligarch there is indeed socialism for the rich. Saying that is like saying "I'll help everyone but only if there rich" that isn't helping everyone. Socialism is about economic equality capitalism is about economic differences. Bush making socialism for the rich widens the gap and makes the economic differences larger... i.e. not socialism.

I'm not really in favor of socialism "per say", but I want a social safety network.

True Capitalism has no floor and no ceiling, so some level socialism it important.

If having health care, free education, roads, and other social programs, means the super wealthy have one less private jet, then I'm all for it.

A floor always means failure isn't death. If you go from owning a small business down to living on welfare, and hopefully back up.

With no ceiling you have COEs cutting the pay for its workers so they can have more. I think all the important industries should be socialized and have big businesses that aren't a part of those industries be abolished because they push small businesses out. A family farmer cannot compete with Monsanto. And a small shop store cannot compete with wall*mart. No one need millions and millions of dollars.

If the living standards for the poor are increased you have the standards for everyone increased. you have seen the movie you know the statistics. Having no ceiling means there is no floor.
