Well gaming site Criousgamer has stated that Eidos is going to be announcing Hitman 5 at this years E3 with a possible trailer too. All this is just speculation at the moment

Why does so many people want to turn every fucking game into a sandbox GTA ripoff, when they work out fine the way they were meant to be designed? If you want a sandbox game, play GTA or Saints Row or whatever, but me for one don't want every single game to be almost just the same.
Open world Hitman is too time-consuming. Hitman should focus on awesome missions and their environment. For ex: a mission on desert, on jungle, on air plane, on beach, on boat, on space, in the oceaon.... An open world is out of question unless they want to make the game as huge in scale as GTA with hundreds missions ( apparently, the quality of each mission will be reduced ). And I believe Hitman is a sealth game which need not to be that big.
i think hitman is just fine the way it is i dont think it would be very good in a sandbox style genre however i do think the new hitman should have better mechanics the way he runs, cover system etc, i think the developers should implement the idea where if he needs to get rid of multiple people at a time he could like ubisoft have done with splintercell conviction however i think they just need to use the right gaming engine something like mafia 2 or batman arkham asylum engine would do wonders

Maybe they should grade you on ur completed missons... like for every misson, there's always 1 absolute perfect way to complete the mission w/out ever getting detected... yet still have many other options 2 get the job done as well. The closer u r to gettin the mission completed w/ perfection, the bigger ur score.
hitman 5 well there has to be a lot of changes. 1 the AI sucks that needs some improvement cause there reaction time is not good. 2. The combat system need to be better. Martial arts such as Krav Magra or Wing chung. We need a really good hand to hand combat system. 3. Hitman needs a better storyline silent assassin was in fact the best story ever. 4. The graphics need to step it up. If it looks anything like the previous it's not gonna work. If needs to be a rich environment.
heres my idea of multiplayer: u and ur friends start a mission together. whoever kills the target first, gets the points. i think that would be great. or heres another idea: u and ur friends r put in one location and each is given a target which is another player. u have to kill ur target silently or else u will fail.
I loved the dark atmosphere in Contracts. It's dark and sinister nature far better suited the theme of contract killing. Hitman 5 should have a similiarly dark atmosphere in my opinion. And open world doesn't have to ruin atmosphere. look at batman arkham asylum :)
Also, I hate when you are doing a mission and your cover is blown and the guards just start shooting at you, maybe you they could walk up to you and talk and you can talk your way out of it and stuff, unless you have you M4 and you started spraying everyone :p
the best for me in blood money was that that you was able to choose the way how to assassinate, it would be great if it would be "half opened world" so that you can follow target and choose the way where to kill him, something like ill wait him in his hotel room or ill hide little bomb in saht so when he is driving ill kill him, or snip him from a building................. and not jsut that you can be in few rooms and hill him on 3 ways
In my opinion i think something like ezio666's idea of being able to travel from one country to another possibly a tree of missions in which you can choose from and depending on which ones you do or which order you complete them in depends on how the story progresses and ends. Also possibly make the mission area considerably bigger than the ones in the last game so it has even more choices in which you can make the hit. I could say alot more but can only write so much but thats what i think.
if hitman was an open world game maybe let's say he's in new york and then he kills the targets he needs and after those assinations he travels to hong kong or something that would be cool
As for open world, maybe not so opened in my opinion. Maybe have about 20 maps more than just one mission per map, choosing hotels/motels on where to stay wisely, what to wear, and stashing weapons effectively in the place of where the assassination might take place...
I personally believe that wigs would help, I mean isn't fucking obvious that every time there is an assassination there is always this bald guy with a bar-code on the back of his fucking head (agent 47) and nobody of the witnesses or authorities can connect these points... I also thought that bribing authorities and witnesses was a fail, I suggest tracking these fuckers down in a side mission...
the game developers would not be able to keep the variety of ways to kill ppl, it would boil down to sniper rifle on a roof top and it would be branded a GTA clone (ba dum tish haha)
more guns, all customisable better ragdoll more missions and more tools, an injection that makes someone fit would be funny
I loved the Hitman serie ever since it started. The games are timeless classics and never lose their certain charme. I sincerely hope they put a lot of love and detail into the next game. Keep the dark, lone wolf atmosphere with an emotionless professional 47 + give us more interactivity. Also make it realistic in a sense that you can akimbo any waepon if you pick up 2 of the same type! :D
They ruined it with blood money. Most of the new features made sense, but seemingly over-simplified the game. Basically they kept the same AI, same environment structure, but added too many advantages for the player.
I played through Blood Money and then the previous one. Blood Money was a great game. 2006 I think? What's wrong with them where's the next installment?
Hitman is hitman..to improve..add more environmental freedom..using chairs, ovens, stoves, fridges, throwing cats at people or something...cool, high-tech gadgets...maybe a storyline somewhat like resident evil 5. Make the AI better and less predictable and better graphics, combat moves. Like splinter cell cinviction stepped it up big time.
If they was to bring out a multi-player, it most probably would be based in the ort-meyer cloning lab where there is loads of agents with different codenames in a death match. That would be what i would think IO interactive would of come up with, having classical maps from contract or the first game. Having a open world environment would seriously be a downside because the smaller the map size the more activities they would put in the level. But Maybe there will be a change of bigger and more!
maybe online won't work but think about a co op because remember hitman 2 they had those many hitmans that you would see every now and then through out the story mode they should have a coop where you have like 5 targets and if one hitman gets caught then the other one can try to free them out of jail or something that would be a cool new feature
open world might be cool, but the thing about Hitman is that he is all over the map asassinating people. He doesn't really stay in the same place. An open world game would indicate that he's staying in the same general location the whole game. the Hitman games gave u a different environment every time. idk if open world would be the best path for this franchise.
1 way to make Hitman better is better melée attacks! Also more weapons and better cuztomization like different barrel lengths, scopes, tac lights, grips for assault rifles basically if you can do it in real life to a gun you could do it to the guns in the game! Also better voice acting! Plus I hope they don't do what most games do and have a great but short story and focus on multiplayer!
ive thinking about some of the maps in hitman 5. "my" map: youre on a jumbo jet and need to take a guy out before the plane lands in some place. lets say 10min. and you can sneak your way to the oxygenmasks and poison the targets mask with poison you can got from another place. and then you fuck up the systems so the masks go down and the target, dies of th poison gas. and that could be one o the possiblities.
white suit what is with the raunchy shitty ideas, just add more ways to kill targets, more detailed maps, and more wepons and customzie addons, and keep the opera music. Oh and some more enviroment kills.

one thing they HAVE to change is the way the guards react in certain circumstances..for example, i'll take a random level..lets say the opera level on hitman blood money..say you're in one of the bathrooms in the opera house and u punch one of the construction workers. if the guard sees u do this he whips his gun out and starts firing at u..who the fuck does that in real life?..what guard in real life starts firing off at someone for fighting?..they definitely need to make some AI changes.

Leave it alone, enhance the gaphics, and add more levels with the tied in storyline. AND NO ONLINE, maybe 5 seprate co op maps that have nothing to do with the storyline but even that would take away from the atmosphere
i think i have an idea how to make mutiplayer work for hitman.
since 47 is basically a clone, they can make some co-op missions for 2 players.
and for online, mannn, sick idea in my head! so lets say theres alot of different maps, and each map or server can handle lets say about 5-10 ppl. so wat happens is theres only 1 or 2 hitmen choosen in each round, and the rest of the players are targets.
@aznboyeeee so the hitmens job is to kill the target, and the rest of the players are to kill the hitmen, if they know who the hitmen are. the person with most kills in total are winner. the targets cant kill any civilians (Lets say each map has AI of civilians), but the hitmen can to get to their target ya know? and u can have a character creation screen to make ur hitman unique so the targets know not to look for a bald 47!
oh oh and! no matter how u create ur hitman, if u get choosen as a TARGET, you'll have a different skin of a target from previous games! or the current if they choose.
@Cooljoh5000 MW2 is Terrible, apart from the story line and a few more perks, it's Identical to CoD4, Hitman is 2000000000000000000000000 times better than MW2, again thats my opinion
@cpsuperbrain ye i think the same thing i been playing hitman blood money for the past 3 weeks and i love it and the movie was good but i wish some of the stuff he done in the movie you can do in the game like sit down and have a drink or hide your guns in ice boxs or strap a bomb to the door so when some one go to open your door boom and use rope to glide down the side of the buliding hpw thay do that in the new hitman
It'll be better than Modern Warfare 2( as many games are) but won't sell as much due to not enough hype. And as for Hitman 5, they should program like 10-15 cities into it, using airports to travel between them.
IO said they were going to release it along side a new movie. Fortunately they said it will have nothing to do with the movie lol. Idk when it will come out though since they're busy working on Kane & Lynch 2.

@zaheer786110 youre right except for the part about being famous for killing ppl. towards the end of the game they started to expect "a man in a white hood" but thats as far as it went. no one ever knew his identity. plus your targets are usually highly important and well known ppl so yea, its hard to stay incognito. agent 47 on the other hand was exponentially infamous and the deeper into the game you got the more you had government agents after you and whatnot ..
ok... i loved hitman blood money. i like the open world idea. with its massive competitor assassins creed... it should have a free world and free run funktion. i like the fact in hitman more than assassins creed that every mission is accomplishable in v arious ways. i's like a online funktion. maybe 1 target and the rest assassins or something. i would like AI to be more realistic. and i like the fact that we have to plan every mission because of its advanced difficulty.
I honestly do not know how Hitman 5 is going to be, but there's no doubt in my mind that the developers will make it awesome. If anything, I hope they make it relatively similar to Hitman: Blood Money, because that game was absolutely brilliant and is still one of the best games ever made.
I think the new Hitman should work on the AI. I've always found the computers to act kind of zombie-like and artificial, it needs to be more natural. And since this time he'll be independent it could add some new things, like where do you get your poisons, guns and other tools from? There could be something where you have different people you buy different things from. Choose between buying your guns from people like the Russian mafia or the Mexican mafia etc.
my problem was that the public was really dumb in hitman 4.. cant remember the name of one mission where theres really many people and you can start shootin them and they dont even mind the dead bodies wtf...

I personally believe that wigs would help, I mean isn't fucking obvious that every time there is an assassination there is always this bald guy with a bar-code on the back of his fucking head (agent 47) and nobody of the witnesses or authorities can connect these points... I also thought that bribing authorities and witnesses was a fail, I suggest tracking these fuckers down in a side mission...

the game developers would not be able to keep the variety of ways to kill ppl, it would boil down to sniper rifle on a roof top and it would be branded a GTA clone (ba dum tish haha)

I loved the Hitman serie ever since it started. The games are timeless classics and never lose their certain charme. I sincerely hope they put a lot of love and detail into the next game. Keep the dark, lone wolf atmosphere with an emotionless professional 47 + give us more interactivity. Also make it realistic in a sense that you can akimbo any waepon if you pick up 2 of the same type! :D

They ruined it with blood money. Most of the new features made sense, but seemingly over-simplified the game. Basically they kept the same AI, same environment structure, but added too many advantages for the player.

Hitman is hitman..to improve..add more environmental freedom..using chairs, ovens, stoves, fridges, throwing cats at people or something...cool, high-tech gadgets...maybe a storyline somewhat like resident evil 5. Make the AI better and less predictable and better graphics, combat moves. Like splinter cell cinviction stepped it up big time.

If they was to bring out a multi-player, it most probably would be based in the ort-meyer cloning lab where there is loads of agents with different codenames in a death match. That would be what i would think IO interactive would of come up with, having classical maps from contract or the first game. Having a open world environment would seriously be a downside because the smaller the map size the more activities they would put in the level. But Maybe there will be a change of bigger and more!

maybe online won't work but think about a co op because remember hitman 2 they had those many hitmans that you would see every now and then through out the story mode they should have a coop where you have like 5 targets and if one hitman gets caught then the other one can try to free them out of jail or something that would be a cool new feature

open world might be cool, but the thing about Hitman is that he is all over the map asassinating people. He doesn't really stay in the same place. An open world game would indicate that he's staying in the same general location the whole game. the Hitman games gave u a different environment every time. idk if open world would be the best path for this franchise.

1 way to make Hitman better is better melée attacks! Also more weapons and better cuztomization like different barrel lengths, scopes, tac lights, grips for assault rifles basically if you can do it in real life to a gun you could do it to the guns in the game! Also better voice acting! Plus I hope they don't do what most games do and have a great but short story and focus on multiplayer!

ive thinking about some of the maps in hitman 5. "my" map: youre on a jumbo jet and need to take a guy out before the plane lands in some place. lets say 10min. and you can sneak your way to the oxygenmasks and poison the targets mask with poison you can got from another place. and then you fuck up the systems so the masks go down and the target, dies of th poison gas. and that could be one o the possiblities.

one thing they HAVE to change is the way the guards react in certain circumstances..for example, i'll take a random level..lets say the opera level on hitman blood money..say you're in one of the bathrooms in the opera house and u punch one of the construction workers. if the guard sees u do this he whips his gun out and starts firing at u..who the fuck does that in real life?..what guard in real life starts firing off at someone for fighting?..they definitely need to make some AI changes.

Leave it alone, enhance the gaphics, and add more levels with the tied in storyline. AND NO ONLINE, maybe 5 seprate co op maps that have nothing to do with the storyline but even that would take away from the atmosphere

i think i have an idea how to make mutiplayer work for hitman.
since 47 is basically a clone, they can make some co-op missions for 2 players.
and for online, mannn, sick idea in my head! so lets say theres alot of different maps, and each map or server can handle lets say about 5-10 ppl. so wat happens is theres only 1 or 2 hitmen choosen in each round, and the rest of the players are targets.

@aznboyeeee so the hitmens job is to kill the target, and the rest of the players are to kill the hitmen, if they know who the hitmen are. the person with most kills in total are winner. the targets cant kill any civilians (Lets say each map has AI of civilians), but the hitmen can to get to their target ya know? and u can have a character creation screen to make ur hitman unique so the targets know not to look for a bald 47!

It'll be better than Modern Warfare 2( as many games are) but won't sell as much due to not enough hype. And as for Hitman 5, they should program like 10-15 cities into it, using airports to travel between them.

@zaheer786110 youre right except for the part about being famous for killing ppl. towards the end of the game they started to expect "a man in a white hood" but thats as far as it went. no one ever knew his identity. plus your targets are usually highly important and well known ppl so yea, its hard to stay incognito. agent 47 on the other hand was exponentially infamous and the deeper into the game you got the more you had government agents after you and whatnot ..

ok... i loved hitman blood money. i like the open world idea. with its massive competitor assassins creed... it should have a free world and free run funktion. i like the fact in hitman more than assassins creed that every mission is accomplishable in v arious ways. i's like a online funktion. maybe 1 target and the rest assassins or something. i would like AI to be more realistic. and i like the fact that we have to plan every mission because of its advanced difficulty.

I honestly do not know how Hitman 5 is going to be, but there's no doubt in my mind that the developers will make it awesome. If anything, I hope they make it relatively similar to Hitman: Blood Money, because that game was absolutely brilliant and is still one of the best games ever made.

I think the new Hitman should work on the AI. I've always found the computers to act kind of zombie-like and artificial, it needs to be more natural. And since this time he'll be independent it could add some new things, like where do you get your poisons, guns and other tools from? There could be something where you have different people you buy different things from. Choose between buying your guns from people like the Russian mafia or the Mexican mafia etc.
