I was 11 when this was released. I wouldn't own it until I was 12... but still, I 'got it', ya know?? So, by the time I was 14 I had this, Diamond Dogs (awesome!!!), Young Americans, and (of course!!!) Station To Station.

F-ing great times to look back on.... *sigh*

Happy Birthday David, I too am a long time fan, (40 plus years) As we get older the shine often comes off some of our heros but in this case I must say he's one of the very few artists I've never grown tired of. His music means even more now than it did then because now it reminds me of various timelines in my life both good and bad. The one constant though has been my never ending admiration for his talent. All the best to you David, I will always WATCH THAT MAN!

I love this album with all my soul.There is so much depth and raw emotion.......the hundredth listen moves me as much as the very first. No one but David can do that!!!

I haven't listened to all these old Bowie albums in 40 years, and I still know every word and every note of each song. They sound so great on vinyl - the ticks and pops - I can still remember putting the needle on the record! 'Panic in Detroit' indeed!

@egbertandedmund "Panic in Detroit jams!!! It took many years to get hooked on Bowie. I didn't realize how good he is when I was in my teens,(many years ago,...LOL) I was really into Southern Rock growing up. Bowie didn't have that Outlaws sound and I ignored his music. You live and learn. ;)
