i almost always pick the natural sciences over the social sciences to explain things like this, but i think in the case of this experiment they did, the results can be better understood by using psychology. i think the reason the women who have steady exclusive partners and tend to show more "skin", etc, has more to do with the fact that the woman has a partner and/ or is in "love", and is therefore more confident in herself, body, etc.
