  • The Doctor, chills.

  • thank you sir i comprehend lol

  • So the majel voice command will b the girl right?

  • All computer voices should be Majel Barrett's. It only seems right.

  • AKA Android Majel the Siri Killer

  • I loved Majel's mother-daughter chemistry with Marina Sirtis. Those two were great together.

  • Google!

  • Transfer complete!! She's my notification message on my CM 7.1 Evo

  • Oh that's cool, great tribute.

  • scotty was like:jesus man that computer is shitty

  • So this is what majel(on Android) will sound like.

  • "Last chance to be a hero, Doctor, get going!"

    Best. Line. Ever...

  • did they really allow those weird phrases to go on the air?

  • xD since when does the computer have sarcasm

  • You also forgot the 2009 Star Trek movie when Checkov is trying to enter Authowization code 9-5 wictor wictor 2.

  • @yegBryTV

I don't think the computer was spoken by Majel in the last Movie. ;)

  • @Kill0rbAg it was her, she did the voice work just before she passed away. I just watched the credits and found that she is Credited in the film as:

Starfleet Computer - Majel Barrett Roddenberry

  • Scott vs computer...Scott wins every time! :D

  • Christine Chapel was te-hawt.

  • Guess the replicator got sick of making Janeway's coffee.

  • Majel Hudek, Barrete, and then Roddenberry, The Queen of "Star Trek". =Stefan=

  • she will be missed.

  • What episode is 4:23??

  • @guitarhero849 In case you still wan't know the answer ;) It's VOY S06E04 "Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy"

  • "i am inside you......"

    "inside.. me...... ?"

  • last chance to be a hero doc! Get going.

  • lol "make it yourself!!!"

  • ewwww.... enterprise is STANK!!!!

  • She was the greatest computer voice ever ...... I always loved the character dialog with the LCARS

  • You did great , I got wet eyes reading the 38 years , six tv series , one voice , really great , ohh I miss it =(

  • Last chance to be a hero doctor! - Get going.

and when the computer said "make it yourself" to janeway.

  • My, the computer was very snide on the Voyager, wasn't she?

  • @SamhainTheDark

Those "off" comments on the video were from episodes where either the computer malfunctioned, or in a day-dream.

  • Coffee, Black

    *Bleep*

    "MAKE IT YOURSELF."

  • what is the warp core?

    they said

"WARNING: Damage to warp core. Contamient failure in 5 minutes."

  • @Triumphguy1

The warp core is the thing that powers the warp engines. It's the big, flashy blue thing you see in Engineering. If the containment fails, the core breaches, and explodes. This destroys the ship, and everything around it.

  • @Draknfyre "It's the big, flashy blue thing you see in Engineering"

And I always thought that was a jumbo juicer doing a motherload of tequila and blueberrys?

  • Data looked like he was about to cry.

  • You didn't do the voice of the cardassian computer on deep space nine, she did that one too you know :(

  • @lieutenantValera That was Judi Durand.

  • what's the name of the eipsode in 4.54?

  • Last chance to be a hero, Doctor! Get working.

  • The Computer told Data off......lol....

  • I loved her as Ms. Troy. #7 of 9, however, had a killer rack.

  • I loved her as Ms. Troy.

  • Warp core breach a lot sooner than you think

  • Never heard the one with the doctor, but it really got me cracked up. From what episode is it?

  • @vstman

    Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy

    I adore that episode!!!!!

  • Bloody hell I never knew she was the voice of that computer in TOS!! You learn something new every day!

  • Coffee..Black.

    GET IT YOURSELF!

  • heh.. my computer's windows alerts are all verbal warnings & notices recorded by her from the 44 years of trek, audio sounds ncluded

  • In the new series they used a soundboard and that also makes sense, when you have standard voices and phrases, you do not have to record it again and again like they probably did in TOS. But I think they maybe also pre-recorded some stuff in TOS, but with that constant budget problems they maybe didnt, as they did not know if they will need it for another episode, so made it over and over again...

  • 00:30 That sounds LSD, like Jefferson Airplane White Rabbit, just have to play the song and this scene simultaniously, a perfect match...

  • in star trek enterprise, why was the uniforms of hoshi soo not informal? it made her look too hot lol. but for real, bare midriff? i did miss something

  • @sayrith mirror universe.

  • @kitfaaace i guess i like that universe :P

  • Now that she has passed on, they are going to have to get a new computer voice.

  • You really honored her with this post. I enjoyed it .Thanks from a fan.

  • "Warning: Last chance to be a hero doctor" Was that really what was said on that episode?? Lmao!

  • @Hazafan88 haha, yeah the doc was dreaming

  • She also voiced the computer in the recent trek film as well as all the otehr trek films. RIP Majell.

  • Warning: Last chance to be a hero doctor, get going!

  • Both the soul and voice of the enterprise are gone now. All we have left is a sell-out. I could have liked the new movie, but they killed my favorite planet, and I hold a grudge. Oh well, I still have all my dvds.

  • @HPPFilms Relics

  • @HPPFilms "Relic"

  • "Coffee, black."

    "Make it yoursef!"

  • lol @ the computer "telling" Data to shut up.

  • "Where?"

    "I am INSIDE you."

    LOL

  • that was montgomery scott in star trek tos, and the second act of star trek tng

  • I felt so sorry for Scotty in TNG. Poor guy...

  • @paulbottomley42

Just watched that episode..Geordi was very disrespectful to him...Scotty should have beat him and told him his name was Toby.

  • Minor correction needed here. She was not the voice of every computer. James Doohan was the voice of M5.

  • Nice tribute. I wasn't aware that she had died.

Did the recent Trek film have any dialog for the computer? I don't remember any. What will they do for future films, I wonder.

  • @PhiloYT1 Wow, I had also missed the fact that she died. :(

I must say I dislike the reboot. I want a forward looking, optimistic scifi show - like Roddenberry envisioned.

  • @PhiloYT1 If I remember right, her voice was used for the computer of the Enterprise in the new "Star Trek" movie and that was actually her last "Star Trek"-related role before her passing.

What they might do is use the actress who voiced the DS9 computer (Judi Durand) with some sort of explanation which would tell us why they changed ther voice of the computer.

  • @NoInfringementIntent This is true. You can hear Majel best in the scene where Chekov is failing to pronounce the letter "v". It was so natural to hear her voice that I didn't even notice until my second viewing.

I would like to hear Ms. Durand. She was a good computer, and a familiar one.

  • @NoInfringementIntent You are right - she did do the role of the Eneterprise computer in the 2009 version.

  • lol the animated stuff is just wrong

  • heh-heh the animated one creeped me out

  • No bloody A, B, C...

  • What was the name of the TAS episode?

  • "One of our planets is missing"

  • what planet is that from 0:40?

  • Eminiar VII

  • Mrs. Roddenberry was the best woman to play the X.O in "The Cage" then the Enterprise Infirmary Head Nurse (later Medical Officer in films 1 & 4) Christine Chapel in the Original Series as well as Lwaxana Troi in Next Gen and DS9 as well as the central computer systems in all Trek series, even films 7 thru 10 (plus the Abrams reboot she did the computer one last time). I didn't realize that she voiced the computer in the Original Series. I grew up listening to her voice. She will be missed.

  • does anybody know in which episode of Star Trek Voyager the computer answer "make it yourself "? ^^

  • I think its Q2

  • make it yourself -,-

    haha love it

  • @FeebleMuffin

thats the way to deal with Janeway! weee even Voyager computers had enough of her .))

  • Wow, the TOS computer sounds a bit robotic. I know I'm a bit biased, but I find the later computers a bit more...human. :D

  • wauw deep respect for this lady

  • Voyager's AI had extremely advanced subroutines... it could isolate crewmembers personalities and adjust to their tone of voice. Thats how sometimes they didnt need the comm badge to either reply or initiate a comm... the computer knew by the tone of voice.

Best example is the Section 31 Novel ''Shadow'' in wich an agent implants a virus in the gelpacks to kill 7 of 9... the computer tries to fight it and actually communicates with the crew... as a person and not as a computer.

  • Very cool :)

  • oh my god, the one on the doc was funny cause it sounded like Luxwana was speaking to him XD

  • Scotty: Enterprise, show me the bridge of Enterprise! Ya chatterin piece of ...

    LOL

  • shit...that would of been of funny if he said that

  • Five federation ships named Enterprise?

Computer can't do simple counting? or has incomplete records.

  • NX-01 wasn't a Federation starship.

  • @SuperTrekNerd actually the Federation programed the computers to not think that Enterpise happened

  • @Trek001

I try to do the same!

  • NX-01,Constellation, Constitution, Ambassador, Galaxy...

that makes 5... perhaps your ability to do ''simple Counting'' is in question here :)

  • i think it was, CONTITUTION 1701 AND THE REFIT, The 1701A, EXCELSIOR CLASS 1701B, AMBASADOR CLASS 1701 C, AND GALAXY CLASS 1701D. Not the nx and none constellation class was name Enterprise

  • ok thats it!!!! I am installing my TV and DVD player, ill chek the Special feature disk on my movie collection Ill come back in 10 minutes tell you if I'm wrong :)

  • ok thats official stuff from Paramout (I was wrong =/)

Rick Berman says the NX was the first federation starship (word for word) but was introduced in the Lore in 2000.

1st is Constitution, Kirk stole it after refit and it was destroyed.

The 2nd is an Old Constitution class that they refitted and renamed ''1701-A''

The 1701-B is an Excelsior class, when they launch it.. they encouter the Nexus and Kirk disapears

    ...

  • the 1701-B was amongst the most sucessful comissioning in Starfleet, Charted 147 Star systems and Made first contact with 17 civ.

the 1701-C is an Ambassador Class, destroyed in 2344.... no more info :(

Then its Galaxy and Sovereign we know those ones :)

well... damn... in the new Movie they wanted to Make the constellation class ''Enterprise'' but they thought it wouldnt be possible to destroy an Enterprise and sell the movies at the same time... hence USS Kelvin

  • now i know all i said you said too... but it helps me step on my Ego to do this :)

  • hehe thats ok dude, be a trek fan, is to share info we each other and enjoy startrek!

  • Majel Barrett-Rodenberry in great new bio (All About Jeffrey Hunter) at amazon!

  • accualy it would be 43 years, she was the computer voice in the new movie

  • may she RIP

  • The writing on Star Trek Voyager was simple brilliant!

  • i dont know whats funnier, "make it yourself!" or the look of "oh NO she didnt" on janeways face lol.

  • "Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy" is the warpcore breach, "Q2" is the replicator.

  • Majel Barrett in great new bio (All About Jeffrey Hunter)at amazon!

  • Comment removed

  • Very nice tribute... dear.

  • Warning...warp core breach alot sooner then you think. lol.

Time to be a hero doctor...get moving!

Voyager was one of my personal favorites and the doctor was my favorite character on the show.

  • 5...4....3...2...1

  • "Thank you sir, I comprehend." lol

I'd just have to say "Shut the f---k up. I got it the first time."

  • out of all the Star Treks, TNG has always been my favorite.

From LCARS to Picard, I just prefer everything from TNG

  • Do u guys realize she did the computer for Star Trek XI?

  • warp core breach sooner than you think

  • "N C C 1 7 0 1, No bloody A B C or D"

  • @dchan19362 da best part

  • her hair color changed her look so much, but still beautiful

  • She was a beautiful woman.

  • The animated series one is so campy and fantastic.

  • "Warning. Last chance to be a hero, doctor! Get going!"

  • RIP Majel Barrett-Roddenberry.

IIRC. She also provided the voice for the NEW Enterprise computer. She recorded her parts two weeks before she passed away in December of 2008.

  • She should of been the Windows voice instead of Microsoft Sam :P

  • The first Shuttle was named Enterprise and the inspiration for the mobile phone came from Star Trek, so it begs the question why they didn't get Majel Barrett to be the Windows voice when they started up.

  • @MrNickWright actually I did replace stock windows sounds with audible warnings recorded from the show & some games/programs

  • Oh my...I still miss her greatly, several months after her death.

  • the star trek computer is very intresting. can we build something that is so analytical.

  • GREAT, she didn't make it to see the new Star Trek. Man, she was my idol as a kid!

  • RIP

  • She will be missed

  • R.I.P. + R.I.G.

  • Majel was solid in every role , a really class act ...I LOVE her as Number One in my favorite Star Trek episode The Menagerie oh man that green girl and those aliens with the bad attitudes and lumpy brains boy they need to go hang out with the wierd holograph throwing underground humans from BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES.

  • Coffee, black.

    Make it yourself

    what episode is that?

    so funny LOL ^^

  • The episode is called "Q2".

  • She will be missed. STAR TREK will never be the same again. I am glad to hear she was able to do the voice of the computer for the new Star Trek move that is coming out in May 09. before she passed away.

I've seen clips of the new movie and I'm not sure about it.. but will give it a chance.

  • I am just now learning of Ms. Roddenberry's passing. May she goes where others have gone before.

  • i think i read somewhere that she reprised the role of the computer's voice in the new star trek reboot

  • YEp and completed it just weeks before her death.

  • "Coffee, black."

    --"Make it yourself.." xD

  • Gene Roddenberry may have forged this world of Star Trek, but Majel caressed its words for all time.

    Thank you

  • So are objects in the mirror!

Last chance to be a hero doctor, GET GOING!

  • In the animated series that you cited, that is not the computer that Majel Barrett's voice was used for. She was playing an alien being.

  • Great tribute! I'd have only one request that you'd add the TNG espisode that has Alexander where Lwaxana is talking to the computer when setting up a Holodeck program.

  • When Christine Chappel was on the Enterprise did she still use Palmolive liquid.

  • Calif92627

between the thumbs up and thumbs down there should be the button " ? "

  • I didnt even realise how much of an icon she was for star trek until she died. She will be missed.

  • HA HA even the computer tells data to shut up

  • That was my thought exactly when I first saw the episode

  • I particularly enjoyed Majel's voice on Voyager.

  • I love Majel soooo much... I wish I had the opportunity to see her before she died.

  • And why not show hew as Lwaxana Troi? And TECHNICALLY, she was "Number One" in Star Trek Pilot "The Cage" as well. So add two more characters that Majel played. If you are going to do a "Best of..." video, at least don't leave out the first time she was on TV in that episode, and arguably her most comedic character of Mrs. Troi.

  • Good TNG episode called 'ship in a bottle' where dr crusher has an argument with the computer should have been on here

  • "Coffee. Black."

    "Make it yourself." LOL!

  • <3!

now i rEAlly feel like a birdbrain...the voice of the computer always seemed, well, just expected or natural. i certainly would've noticed if they used someone else.

  • The Voyager computer was definitely the most hilarious. "Warp core breach a lot sooner than you think." XDD However, my favorite moments of Majel were her appearances as Lwaxana Troi on DS9.

I didn't even realize she had died. Too bad, she's a legendary actor.

  • Ooooh, this is awesome. She's so integral to the whole Star Trek feel, such a constant. Gonna be hard without her :(

I do like that the computer got rather a bunch of jokes, over the years :D

  • Nice montage

  • Both she and Star Trek, in all of it iterations, will be legend for all time. Kudos Mrs Rodenberry, and may you and your husband rest together in joy and peace.

  • Let's take a vote here . Should there be a channle on cable deadacaited for the people that would like to watch star trek ? Star trek has made a hit in alot of peoples live's and play's a role in the wave of the future.I would hope one day there will be a channle on cable just for star trek in deadacaited to all who haved made it such a hit .And in deadacaited to Star Trek'' creator Gene Roddenberry I think he and all the cast of star trek deserve a channel on cable vote yes or no . Thank you!

  • She was fantastic, simply stunning. Her voice will be remembered forever.

Of all the chars of Star Trek, while there have been many fabulous ones, my favorites are Lwaxana and Barkley. Very few are those talents that can span so many Treks so gracefully.

  • RIP Ms. Roddenberry. You will be missed.

  • She also did the voice for the computer in Family Guy in the episode, "Emission Impossible"

  • We keep losing the Great ones. God grant them peace and reunit them with those who love them. Star Trek is as old as I am and still part of my life

  • Also the voice of Lt. M'Ress on Star Trek, The Animated Series. Check out Memory Alpha.
