It's interesting that Kellogg's became a sponsor of THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY...someone here posted all the commercials of the premiere episode as it aired in 1970, Turns out General Mills bought two spots for Cheerios.
I remember seeing that Coke ad with Mean Joe Greene as a kid; my dad came into the room and saw it, and when Joe tosses the kid his uniform top my dad goes: "Here kid, have this shirt that smells like my armpits!" Even guys who didn't watch "Partridge" had a thing for Susan Dey back in '71 and '72. They still show that Tootsie Pop ad on TV today, but it has a slightly different tagline from the announcer at the end.
I saw a blooper of the Coke commercial once, and they had to shoot it several times because every time Mean Joe drank a Coke he let out a large belch.
I heard that the Coke commercial with Mean Joe took numerous takes because every time he finished the bottle of Coke he'd let out a huge burp!!

Looking at the Susan Dey ad, it's obvious that today's women don't know how to be sensual.
