TOYOTA Recall pedal GM PONTIAC VIBE 1 of 2

this guy did a pretty good job considering the panic he must have been in. he managed to show the floormat was not a cause and the pedal was jammed.

their was a short story on the news about this just a few hours ago. was this you? or was that another case. good job, admire you for doing your best to get it on camera.

i hope toyota get sued by GM for selling them faulty electronic systems.

Dude, your a fucking idiot... This guy is out there trying to make a stand and have his voice heard against these corporate giants that don't give a fuck about consumers. As a consumer you should support the cause not down size it. How the fuck can you sit hear and say that the video is fake. when you could clearly hear the painic in thoes folks voice. Give thanks to GOD that your not having this problem because if your were you wont't be talking shit!!!!

@dpcauto calm down sir. im just confused b/c last thing I WOULD do, and sure others would. would be to take both hands off a vehicle thats moving unintentionally and fast to get a camera. would never endanger myself or others in the car just to get proof, wouldnt be worth it. first thing would be to maintain control. and then hit that red onstar button if it got out of hand. either then that the blue onstar button, ask for roadside ast. b/c i would never get back in that car if i didnt feel safe

i take back the whole "its fake" comment, b/c i agree. if these big corporations are doing a cover up. of course they should be held responsible. you think i want to risk my life and others around me? b/c i do drive a 09 vibe and i did get it taken in for the recall. hell no, i wouldnt wanna rsik such a thing. im just well...doubting. thats all. once i see the others he posts then we have a conversation going.

and the reving your hearing is the car in neutral, and you can see my foot and the gas pedal, clearly shows that the car is accelerating on its own.

i was traveling at 20 mph and i manage to record the event on the iphone, i dont know if your familiar with the iphone, there is about 5 steps to take before you can record.

and this is after the pedal shim the recall in the car was made.

i dont hear any engine noise besides the obvious reving of the engine. i got the 09 vibe, and when i accelerate you can actually hear the car moving the engine makes a pretty distinc sound. this totally fake...last thing anyone going to do when there panicing in this situation is grab a camera and only thing u record is the floor? if anything record whats going on around you, odometer, what gear your in all that etc..but no we only see the floor. your proof is useless.

the car can be fine traveling 20 mph and in second gear, and all of a sudden it just guns the accelerator, this is after the recall was done with the shim on the pedal.

it is more than clear that something else is the problem. and here is the proof.
