@noyzizi but his bbq-ing is quite impressive. but, yeah, i agree on your point. an iron should be flexible on all/most cooking styles and techniques. batali and morimoto are really the only people that are worthy of the iron chef title. but the new guy seems pretty good, Chef Garces. i don't see much marblization in this American Kobe beef. What makes Kobe beef so special coming not only from the breed, but also how they carefully taking care of cows. I bet softness is quite different from original one.
@JVL8701 It's a reference to the original Japanese show, where the chairman would bite into a yellow pepper. This chairman is an actor playing the role of the original's nephew, hence the bowing to the pepper. I guess he bites into an apple because he can't do it with the pepper.
