@PacoMxxN There are different possible solutions. The influx needs to be stopped and reversed because Mexicans are taking over the entire South, to be honest. They are displacing my people and causing all sorts of social problems. But as far as Texas, there could be ethnic/cultural self-determination. Many areas of Texas are not yet Mexican. The same solution could be applied to the non-Southern areas of all the Southern States.
@MezaseMaster Non-Southerners have no right to demographically conquer parts of the South and then insist that the lands they occupy are not Southern. To the extent it's possible they should be sent home. Where it is not possible because they have so thoroughly flooded the areas (like Miami and southern Texas and other places) ethnic/cultural self-determination is probably the best solution. A free South would probably be much smaller than all the Southern States at present.

Whoever made this video needs to fix the map depicted to exclude the state of Oklahoma from it. Oklahoma is MIDWEST/Heartland and proud to be part of the Union and once a Union/free territory. @edelweissnpa You need to read more history. OK was founded as an Indian territory and the Indian tribes sided with the South during the War. They fought in many battles against the Union invaders and the last CSA general to surrender was Stand Watie, a Cherokee Indian. I hear from many folks from Oklahoma who are Southern, proud of their Confederate roots and reject the US empire. So, maybe you embrace this bland "midwestern" identity but many of the folks of OK embrace their Southern identity.

@75egcg I think when the US Empire starts to unravel that many areas will want out - including Vermont and New Hampshire. Y'all are in many ways an inspiration to us. The modern secession movement is about liberty, self-determination & cultural survival (at least as I see it) and this embraces many different movements across North America.

But as for the liberty, self-determination and cultural survival, another thing factors could factor in. And that is civilisation preservation. I think seceding will stay as merely an idea until we start seeing mid-east style protests here.
@75egcg Such protests could be a lot sooner than we think. Wisconsin is really just the tip of the iceberg. If the Feds refuse to bail out the big States like California, we'll see big things happen there. If the Feds do just monetise the debt and bail out all the States then we'll see rampant price inflation. I think the Empire is in a no-win situation at this point. They aren't willing to consider cutting spending or foreign interventionism, which would be the only solution.

Were the capital of barbecue for petes sake. Central Missouri is also known as litle dixie. I dont know who you met but take it from a native, were southern.
@USAamericaUSA the folks i met from KC during my stay there were absolutely NOT liberals. thats for damn sure. much of MO was orignally settled my folks from KY and TN, but that culture does not dominate. certainly there are some southern elements to MO's culture and heritage, but the same goes for Indiana.
some folks in central MO sound mildly southern, but most are just neutral. when you get to sikeston and on into arkansas southern dialect is dominant. most MOans dont identify as southern

like i said, the bootheel and much of southern missouri is part of the cultural south. there is no quibble there. but central and northern missouri does not speak with a southern dialect. the entirety of the state of kentucky does outside of the cincinatti metro area.
there is no "illinois influence", kentucky was settled before anybody even lived in illinois. if anything, southern illinois has a southern influence due some KY and TN settlers.
@AgentCarter I know that kentucky is completely southern but what im trying to say is so is Missouri. Not as much as the kansas city folk ,but for example my home town of Nevada, MO , everyone has a draw and considers themselves southern. Southern Iowa even there some people, although not many, have a southern draw but no one there has a hearty norweigan accent. South east kansas is also pretty southern. All im saying is me, my family and most people here I know, speak with a southern draw.
@USAamericaUSA id certainly say the areas you are referring to have some southern influence, but i know thats not the only influence. most of missouri has a hybrid culture. ive heard folks from near nevada talk before, and while their speech was certainly not northern, it wasnt quite southern either. like i said, its somewhat of a hybrid dialect, it aint quite iowa, but it sure aint arkansas.
MO was settled originally by people from KY, TN and VA, so obviously theres that influence.
@AgentCarter What ive noticed though as almost each southern state has differnt accents. My relative from south east kansas talk like somone from oklahoma. Probably becuase theyre a mile and a half from the oklahoma line but as for Missouri we have out own unique southern accent. Not quite as strong as some form say georgia or south carolina. As I know because my uncle is a country music singer who lives on the SC, GA line. But its still recognisably southern. People from Texas tend to talk slow

the two most prominent types are the lowland and the upland. often youll find that the dialect is more heavily rhotic closer to the appalachian mountains.
what im telling you is that the dialect in central missouri is a hybrid of upland southern dialect (KY, TN, southern WV) and north midland dialect (like what youd hear in central illinois)

@kirkh21 We're not new. Our people have existed as a distinct culture in North America practically from the founding of Virginia in the early 1600s. The Southern people as a nation of people, as a distinct culture - this is the focus. We're a nation right now, we're just not free. Independence has to a goal for long-term survival.
I believe we truly are on the cusp of secession in light of all of the Euro-conversion, socialism and corruption our country is now ingrained in. The union may have forgotten who this country was founded under, and what our basic rights as Americans are, but the new southern secession will ensure that our way of life and culture is preserved under the new southern territory.

I consider myself conservative when it comes to most things... but religion is a blight and if we southerners use it as a reason for our independence over the other more important reasons such as state's rights then its not an independence worth having

I have nothing against the South or its culture; I respect that Southerners cherish and revere the best of their traditions. But as a Missourian I've never identified myself as a Southerner, only as a Midwesterner. There are definite Southern elements and history to my state, but our influences from our northern, western and easter neighbors (we have 8) have moderated the Southern influence. Perhaps I'm alone, but I'm a Midwesterner.

@LJH08Ralith thats not really true at all. the political divide is much more rural vs urban rather than north vs south. have you ever looked at a county by county presidential map? much of the rural midwest (especially the lower midwest and great plains) and northeast is actually quite conservative. really only the far upper midwest is in line politically with canada. the rural north is not as conservative as the rural south, but certainly moreso than canada.

@LJH08Ralith that is certainly true. but you also have to realize that northern states are more heavily urbanized than southern states and higher percentages of them live in cities, so you are more likely to meet an urban northern than an urban southerner. i dont live in the north, but i do know that there are conservatives north of the ohio river, just less of them.
im well aware that the rural midwest/north is more liberal than the rural south, that is for sure. but its not canada though.

@PacoMxxN There are different possible solutions. The influx needs to be stopped and reversed because Mexicans are taking over the entire South, to be honest. They are displacing my people and causing all sorts of social problems. But as far as Texas, there could be ethnic/cultural self-determination. Many areas of Texas are not yet Mexican. The same solution could be applied to the non-Southern areas of all the Southern States.

@MezaseMaster Non-Southerners have no right to demographically conquer parts of the South and then insist that the lands they occupy are not Southern. To the extent it's possible they should be sent home. Where it is not possible because they have so thoroughly flooded the areas (like Miami and southern Texas and other places) ethnic/cultural self-determination is probably the best solution. A free South would probably be much smaller than all the Southern States at present.

Apparently you don't believe in the right of divorce, which is what secession is if you take it down to the personal level. That could lead to the conclusion that the states had the right to secede, and thus WV was seceding from a foreign nation.

Whoever made this video needs to fix the map depicted to exclude the state of Oklahoma from it. Oklahoma is MIDWEST/Heartland and proud to be part of the Union and once a Union/free territory. Oklahomans never consider themselves southern and do not sound southern whatsoever. We are a state that values social progress and our universities are somewhat moderately progressive. @edelweissnpa You need to read more history. OK was founded as an Indian territory and the Indian tribes sided with the South during the War. They fought in many battles against the Union invaders and the last CSA general to surrender was Stand Watie, a Cherokee Indian. I hear from many folks from Oklahoma who are Southern, proud of their Confederate roots and reject the US empire. So, maybe you embrace this bland "midwestern" identity but many of the folks of OK embrace their Southern identity.

As in, if the US becomes a danger it would behoove secession. I hate the idea that it sounds treasonous, but it's really not. @75egcg Such protests could be a lot sooner than we think. Wisconsin is really just the tip of the iceberg. If the Feds refuse to bail out the big States like California, we'll see big things happen there. If the Feds do just monetise the debt and bail out all the States then we'll see rampant price inflation. I think the Empire is in a no-win situation at this point. They aren't willing to consider cutting spending or foreign interventionism, which would be the only solution.

Some are for, some are not for them. @75egcg I don't think 310 million people will ever agree to protest on a single issue. But as the Empire goes broke and the dollar is killed there will suddenly be tons of things to protest against. Most people probably will never understand what happened, but the old order will be gone regardless. What replaces it, I don't know. I hope something smaller, more decentralised, less inflationist and less interventionist.

But until something big crashes or goes bankrupt or whatever it may be, it's just going to be wishful thinking. It does really feel that no matter how badly anyone wants anything on this subject, nothing will ever get accomplished. I'm pretty hopeful that it can happen, it may not happen soon, unless evidence says otherwise

Instead,I want the restoration of the preCivil War union(without slavery & Jim Crow)of voluntary states. @USAamericaUSA the folks i met from KC during my stay there were absolutely NOT liberals. thats for damn sure. much of MO was orignally settled my folks from KY and TN, but that culture does not dominate. certainly there are some southern elements to MO's culture and heritage, but the same goes for Indiana.
some folks in central MO sound mildly southern, but most are just neutral. when you get to sikeston and on into arkansas southern dialect is dominant. most MOans dont identify as southern

like i said, the bootheel and much of southern missouri is part of the cultural south. there is no quibble there. but central and northern missouri does not speak with a southern dialect. the entirety of the state of kentucky does outside of the cincinatti metro area.
there is no "illinois influence", kentucky was settled before anybody even lived in illinois. if anything, southern illinois has a southern influence due some KY and TN settlers.

@AgentCarter I know that kentucky is completely southern but what im trying to say is so is Missouri. Not as much as the kansas city folk ,but for example my home town of Nevada, MO , everyone has a draw and considers themselves southern. Southern Iowa even there some people, although not many, have a southern draw but no one there has a hearty norweigan accent. South east kansas is also pretty southern. All im saying is me, my family and most people here I know, speak with a southern draw.

@USAamericaUSA id certainly say the areas you are referring to have some southern influence, but i know thats not the only influence. most of missouri has a hybrid culture. ive heard folks from near nevada talk before, and while their speech was certainly not northern, it wasnt quite southern either. like i said, its somewhat of a hybrid dialect, it aint quite iowa, but it sure aint arkansas.
MO was settled originally by people from KY, TN and VA, so obviously theres that influence.

@AgentCarter What ive noticed though as almost each southern state has differnt accents. My relative from south east kansas talk like somone from oklahoma. Probably becuase theyre a mile and a half from the oklahoma line but as for Missouri we have out own unique southern accent. Not quite as strong as some form say georgia or south carolina. As I know because my uncle is a country music singer who lives on the SC, GA line. But its still recognisably southern. People from Texas tend to talk slow

the two most prominent types are the lowland and the upland. often youll find that the dialect is more heavily rhotic closer to the appalachian mountains.
what im telling you is that the dialect in central missouri is a hybrid of upland southern dialect (KY, TN, southern WV) and north midland dialect (like what youd hear in central illinois)

I believe we truly are on the cusp of secession in light of all of the Euro-conversion, socialism and corruption our country is now ingrained in. I have nothing against the South or its culture; I respect that Southerners cherish and revere the best of their traditions. But as a Missourian I've never identified myself as a Southerner, only as a Midwesterner. There are definite Southern elements and history to my state, but our influences from our northern, western and easter neighbors (we have 8) have moderated the Southern influence. Perhaps I'm alone, but I'm a Midwesterner.

@LJH08Ralith thats not really true at all. the political divide is much more rural vs urban rather than north vs south. have you ever looked at a county by county presidential map? much of the rural midwest (especially the lower midwest and great plains) and northeast is actually quite conservative. really only the far upper midwest is in line politically with canada. the rural north is not as conservative as the rural south, but certainly moreso than canada.

@LJH08Ralith that is certainly true. but you also have to realize that northern states are more heavily urbanized than southern states and higher percentages of them live in cities, so you are more likely to meet an urban northern than an urban southerner. i dont live in the north, but i do know that there are conservatives north of the ohio river, just less of them.
im well aware that the rural midwest/north is more liberal than the rural south, that is for sure. but its not canada though.
