  • "Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" . Ronald Reagan you are one of America's greatest presidents, thank you for you outstanding service.

  • Love Me some Ronan Tynan and singing at president Reagans Funeral he said was harder for him than singing at Yankee Stadium after 9/11 because of all the former and current Heads Of State there

  • Ron Paul wants to legalize pot. only reason to vote for him IMO. :)

  • @chippymc12 If that is the biggest issue in the world to you today, it might be best that you don't vote. lol

  • The man had his faults. But he's probably the last United States President that could pass a polygraph if asked if he was working towards the best interests of America. My $.02

Unless Ron Paul wins in 2012

  • @highdesertutah

Communism was the existential threat to America in Reagan's day and he led the fight against it. Islam is the threat now and Ron Paul could not be softer on it, and more willing to blame America, if he tried. He's for the Ground Zero Mosque and he thinks terrorism is America's fault, ignoring 1,400 years of Muslim aggression.

  • this manover came such adversity..to stand tall on 2 artificial legs...awesome voice would like to hear more from him

  • well done ronan

  • @tom500k You are woefully ignorant of the facts.

And, seriously, you need to take a moment from your foolishness to recognize just how much of a saint this man was. When politics turn you into an angry person (like you are) you need to stay away from them.

  • @tom500k Take your hate and stuff it where the sun don't shine bright boy......

  • to get the history of amazing grace go to wikipedia encyc arthor is john newton written in 1779 newton was ordained in england church in 1764 before that he was a slave ship commander he wrote over 200 hymns

  • God Bless Ronald Regan.

  • @xyx1412999 You are a very sad person.

Stay out of American politics. They're none of your business.

  • What is wrong with all of you? Does it matter whether you like Reagan or not? No! Shut up and listen to Ronan Tynan.

  • Good thing is, these idiots making stupid remarks aren't paid much attention. They're on the fringe of society, as such people have been since the beginning of time. Fools are fools, folks. Don't give them the time of day.

God Bless Ronald Reagan, and the United States of America.

  • and the band played waltzing maltilda...but not for reagan, for whom the fires of hell are not hot enough.

  • @AtomHeartPuppy I see that you have taken it upon yourself to cast the first stone. So as you judge, so shall you be judged.

  • @DoubleDipperBrian ok by me. judge away.

  • George Washington wept.

  • ronnie was eating jellybeans listening to this!

  • Great Ronny !!

  • The guy took down the soviet union... nuff said.

  • @krausza damn right he did

  • @krausza He couldn't even take down his pants without help, who the fuck you kidding?

  • @absoftitanium Oh, so he didn't help take down the Soviet Union... "tear down that wall" and all... and get reelected overwhelmingly by the American public... no, that wasn't him? "... couldn't even take down his pants without help..." did i get that right... of all the video posts you could have made that comment... on a post about the man's funeral... i hope kinder words are spoken at yours.

  • @krausza It has been well established that Raygun already had Alzheimer's when he first entered the White House. Regardless of his idiotic speechifying and grandstanding, he had nothing to do with 'taking down the Soviet Union', it did just fine tearing itself down without any help from the likes of him. His stooge policies single-handedly turned the US from the country with the largest amount of money in the world to the country with the largest foreign debt in the world. Good riddance.

  • @absoftitanium REally? the Soviet Union collapsed on it's on? Just like that, huh? Independent of anything REagan and his administration did? Were there any leprechauns invovled in this downfall... or.... let me guess... Soviet officials were under spell of an elixer of unicorn dander and fairy dust ? Your world is a wonderful, magical one my friend... and i want to live there tooo.

  • @krausza I'm done with trying to communicate with delusional asslickers. Shut your fucking piehole and die.

  • @absoftitanium Wait....don't run away yet... i'm not done. Ahem. Name-calling... ah, the poor man's sarcasm. i expected more... tsk tsk.. if only your intellect could match the brawn of your abs... C'est la vie! We all have our crosses, mate... hang in there. and... .... .... now i'm done. Adieu God Bless!

  • @krausza You are an idiot. I vote you off the island.

  • @JSA1957 Oooooohhhhh, ouch! A disparaging remark AND a worn out phrase! Whaazzz upppppp! Oh, no he didn't! You go girl! Who let the dogs out?!!! Ruff!! Ruff!!! It's sleep time, go take your nap grandpa... then hit me up and we'll do this again. Word to your motha!

  • @krausza Yeah? Well...........I know you are but who am I?

  • @krausza "grandpa"? You young whipper-snapper!

  • @krausza You have a point, but if you keep your hat on no one will notice.

  • @JSA1957 Not the response i was expecting... but okay... refreshing and funny... You called me an idiot, but... i think i like you anyway. Take care.

  • @krausza All in fun my friend. Besides, I love idiots.

  • @absoftitanium i disagree i think jelly doughnuts are much better than raisins

  • @Txsray

I'm not a huge Reagan fan, the the Strategic Defense Initiative (or "Star Wars," as you and other commentators have dubbed it) has received around $100 billion since 1983. Hardly the reason for our current deficit (missile defense received around $10 billion last year).

  • I have no sympathy for Reagan.

If God chooses to give him grace, well, He's God, and He can do what He likes.

But if He asks my advice, Reagan is in trouble.

  • The saddest day Mr. President was the day you left office in this great Country. You will always have my admiration and respect. You not only will be missed, but you will be admired by many for years to come.

  • @MAC10Cobray Only by morons.

  • God bless President Reagan! The BEST president in American history!

  • @absoftitanium You are a pathetic fool

  • America needs another Ronald Reagan

  • Mr. Reagan Rest in Peace. We love you.

  • @robyculver I too had the honor of meeting him and he was not only a perfect gentleman, he offered his handshake and gave me an autograph. Must be you were just a douchebag like you are on YouTube. He probably want to punch your weasily ass in the face like I do. I guess you have that effect on people. Piss off and go kiss Obama.

  • @Donnybrook10

Do you judge a politician on whether he gives you a handshake or not?

  • @Donnybrook10 That makes as of today 36 others including you and I that would like to punch roby in his weasily ass. I never met Presdient Reagan but I do have his autograph. I was so blessed and fortunate to attend his State Funeral and saw the Caisson go down Pennsylvania Ave. There were tens, if not hundreds of thousands more people that attended Reagans Funeral than there were at Obamas Coronation. God Bless you Mr Reagan, we really do miss you.

  • Reagan was a B actor and a worse president and it seems you can fool some of the people all the time.

  • @bigjaytexas oh a liberal wuss who voted for Obama...

  • @bigjaytexas I was kind of wondering which part you didn't like. Maybe it was the challenge to tear down the Berlin Wall, or maybe it was winning the Cold War, or maybe it was resisting Congress' attempts to raise taxes. Oh, wait, you must be a Qaddafi supporter, and you're still sore about his son getting bombed! Hold still, so I can kick you in the balls.

  • what a flappy ears this singer has!

  • @TheNationalistParty

A great man! Without his leadership we would still be fighting communist like you.

Mr. President your words of wisdom will live on and guid our great nation.

  • @mrgilll Why is Reagan blamed for allowing the leftist Democrats' big government socialist deficit-expansionist, programs get passed? Since Democrats controlled both the House and Senate, Reagan had no choice but to pass the Democrats budget busting socialist programs in order to get Democrat consent for funding for the military to force the Soviet Union to collapse economically in trying to keep up with America's funded military innovations. The Democrats lie about what they forced on him.

  • His own children (Ron Jr & Patty Davis), thought & think his policies were dead wrong.......pretty sad.......

  • @mrgilll Positions from which they have now recanted. They couldn't help being baby boomer communist assholes just like all the other hippie fuck losers of that generation, which is now thankfully finally going to die off. Thanks for ruining everything for the rest of us!

  • @mrgilll HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... You are really a pathetic jackass.. You have ZERO sense in regards to this country's history in the 70's and 80's... Please don't even respond to my post, you're too pathetic to respond back to! LMAO! You really are one ignorant fool...

  • reagan was A DISASTER for the country. Clinton was 1000 times a better president !

  • @Michthemitch Please outline how he was a disaster....

  • @Michthemitch

    Clinton was -1000 times.

I'm guessing Mich Clinton was cool...

  • @Michthemitch

GO AWAY. HOW DARE YOU SHOW SUCH DISRESPECT HERE!

  • @mrgilll you r so blind and foolish ,so you would rather be en slaved and lied too and keep paying other countrys to not attack us and have a president bow to countrys that should thank us instead of spitting in our face .

  • we need you mister regan ,and john wanye and patton to show us the way from this dark and troubled times we r in and god bless america and its people a men.

  • You Tube " Reagan Campaigns for Truman in 1948" then make up your own mind.

  • Reagan was a great president. I was in grammar school when he was in office, and I didn't realize at the time how lucky we were to have such a bold, and charismatic leader of the Free World.

  • Next face on mount rushmore

  • Happy 100th Mr. President!

  • YITB

  • God bless you sir, thank you for your service and i truly miss you. you were 1 of the best this country every had.you brought pride and respect back to this country. i wish you were here now. god bless you.................

  • What a voice wohw

  • What a voice wohw

  • God Bless the Irish

  • Yes sir.

  • Reagen called America the shinning city on the hill!!! He was right, just look at all the people from all over the world that come here legally or not to make a better life for themselves!!! Even his campaign ads on tv were fantastic, not sarcastic like the ones on tv today. I am blessed to tell my children and grandchildren that I was alive during his presidency, God Bless you sir and God Bless America

  • Greatest President since Lincoln.

  • @curlybobz why do you say that ?

  • Ronald Reagan loved this country and ALL of the people in it. He was not divisive - those will not see the greatness of America were and remain the divisive parties.

You would never see Ronald Reagan apologize for the actions of the nation that gives more than any other nation on earth - the United States of America.

I will not lower myself or insult that great man by debating anyone on this site - with this holy song - a song written by a slave trader who realized the evil of his ways.

  • @garylillie He loved America as you obviously do. Thank you!

  • kupesi42, those were called the Frontline States, and they had no choice but to trade with the apartheid government. Reagan did not oppose apartheid (please prove me wrong). He, I repeat, was an unreconstructed racist. Good riddance.

  • Awesome as always, never get tired of hearing this version of this song. You can check out an HD version with Subtitles of the lyrics here /watch?v=YJUUiwKiHIY

  • @SnickleFritz79 Thats a awefull thing to say about such a wonderfull man. But if he did go to hell in 2004 , maybe you will join him there soon!!!

  • His intonation is not too stellar. Kind of disappointing.

  • @jagquon77: you've got to be kidding!?! You try singing in front of that audience and the 30 million watching and then get back to me... stiff!

  • @Jeff7971 I figured someone would pull the "you do it better" response. I'm not saying I could do it better, but for someone as famous as he, and for an occasion as special as this, his performance is weak and unimpressive.

  • @jagquon77 you should have reached out to Nancy and let her know that you would have done it better...as for his performance being weak...that's your opinion, however I'm quite confident that no one gives a shit...have a nice afternoon attacking people and hiding behind your keyboard, bitch.

  • This rendition of this song sent chills through me, not only for Ronans great voice, but the excellent and powerful accompaniment that went along with it, the way that it gently kept bringing you up to a higher and crescendo with greater and greater power. Then when you read the words to this song and meditate on them, it's sooo freaking deep and powerful you can't help but get stirred up by the entire piece!! Nice.

  • Reagan was a racist, senile reactionary, but this is the best rendition of 'Amazing Grace' I know.

  • @wgkantai

We could do with a lot less of your venom and hatred. I admired Ronald Reagan, but I also admired FDR, Jimmy Carter, Edward Heath, Clement Atlee, Winston Churchill, Gandhi, Charles de Gaulle......people who stepped up to the plate to fight the good fight for their nations. People like you have nothing, it seems to offer in the public forum excpet negative comments.

  • @Dromolin, I base my comment from where I sit. Ronald Reagan opposed the Martin Luther King Birthday; Ronald Reagan launched his Presidential campaign with a thumb in the eye of the civil rights campaign; and most importantly (for me at least - I'm African), Ronald Reagan opposed sanctions against the apartheid government of South Africa. That's the racist part. The senility and his reactionary nature are well documented. I hope I have made my point clear.

  • @wgkantai You are wrong that he opposed sanction against the apartheid government of South Africa. He oppose the apartheid, but he did not approved economic sanction. You must know that alot of African Nations have the same viewed like there neighbor Botswana for axample. A lot of African Nation was still trade with SA even though they disagreed with their Apartheid policy.

  • Reagan was a racist, senile reactionary, but this is the best rendition of 'Amazing Grace' I know.

  • Best rendition of this I have ever heard, was sung by the Choir of Upperclassmen, United States Naval Academy, Annapolis.

  • good man.

    great president.

he had principles that he stood by...itmade those hard decisions seem easy.

    RIP, President Ronald Wilson Reagan

  • Beautiful, what a wonderful tribute to a great man. Ronald Reagan the world thanks you for your outstanding service. God Bless you!

  • i say god bless the united states, god bless ronald regan...

  • God Bless Mein Fuhrer Reagan! one of the greatest cocaine and weapon salesmen of all time! *tear*

  • May the victims of trickle down economics all raise their MD 20/20 bottles in the direction of their former businesses, and propose a toast to R.R. He was a good man and probably didn't participate in the boy humping during his time at the Grove.

May the Owl of Bohemia bless him.

  • I'm a DAV..served under Reagan...Obama isn't good enough to shine his shoes..every president starting with Reagan has given active duty ..retirees and vet a raise on Jan 1...Obama said " They volunteered..they don't need it"

  • I'm a DAV..served under Reagan...Obama isn't good enough to shine his shoes

  • "'twas grace that THOUGHT my heart to fear"---what an idiot

  • My how this nation has fallen. He was a true leader of nation and country.

  • GOOD OLD RONALD REAGAN what a guy respect from scotland

  • @rabblue

    and Canada

  • YOU IN OUR LORDS HAND'S. LOVE YOU PRESIDENT REAGAN

  • Ronald Reagan was a man who saw greatness in America, saw the greatness in her people and never apologized for the will and might of the United States of America.

  • I saw this live as most probably did...one of the most amazing, powerful and deep renditions of this song I've ever heard!! Ronan and the musicians did a truly Glorious job on this song.. truly listen to the words!..

"When we've been here ten thousand years...

    bright shining as the sun.

We've no less days to sing God's praise...

    then when we've first begun."

How powerful and biblical, for it says that we shall have a body like unto Christs glorious body, and He shines as bright as the sun!

  • Beautiful.

  • We need another Ronald Reagan!!! Take a look at our country.

  • Strangely Reagan did everything to avoid war., even completely pulling out of Lebanon when the Marines were killed in a car bomb attack. Now the Republicans want the USA to be in a state of perpetual war.

I prefer the simple way this song is sung in US Protestant churches. Simple, down to earth, humble.

  • the old anti-Communist hypocrit, you were a cunt like Thatcher

  • @TheNationalistParty True that comrade.

  • @Eddyking5 haha does communism work no......... and if it does......name a country

  • @armyboy1207 Capitalism works because does what it is supposed to do shift and move capital. Communism hasn't worked yet because Capitalism has fortified (Using the state. An Example of how Capitalism cannot survive stateless) itself in countries fit for revolution.

The country that is closest to Socialism would be Cuba, even though it has drifted away. There is no proper left-wing country nowadays.

  • @TheNationalistParty

Socialism is for the weak, you seem to fit that description.

  • The man of lies, hypocrisy, and death is dead. he was a triator and a liar and a murderer.

Hope his fascist wife follows him

  • so so deeply touching, hes amazing...ann: )

  • @glamorgangirl lol that is funny

  • I was never a Reagan fan, but nonetheless, it is sad for a nation to lose a (former) leader. I would not wish the health of his last few years here on anyone. I truly hope his spirit finds its way home, and God bless the shores of Eire for producing the heavenly voice known as Dr. Ronan Tynan.

  • Love Ronan Tynan. RR, not so much...

  • President Reagan.. A true American Hero.. How we need a Man like him today...

  • Touching.

  • God Bless Ronald Reagan

God Bless The United States of America

  • @Balnk5335 Fuk the U$A

  • @TheNationalistParty careful there Mr. Nationalist Party, if you read your history books you'll realize that Nationalism is what caused the first world war.

  • @TheNationalistParty Here is something for you to consider when your alone with your thoughts. People will remember and think fondly of Ronald Reagan for another 100 years or more, but you are a nobody that most likely will never contribute anything good or bad to the world. In fact, you probably are a drain to the people and family around you. Your idiocy and hatred are your only qualites; Both things to be forgotten. I will forget about you seconds after I close this page.

  • @dickmoe99 Your crazy man. To think your government is evil. Never before in history has the world been so peacefull for the masses. Never before in history have so many had so much prosperity. Never in history have so many had so much freedom as now, to say, to do, and go where they wish. Your telling me that we are being rulled by a dictator...well if so let him or her because he's doing a damn good job for us all!

  • @Balnk5335 Dis-United Failures you mean lol

  • @Balnk5335

There are no gods to bless neither Reagan nor the US

  • @hyperseauton Uou, are an idiot

  • @manbigus

    and you, sir, are credulous.

  • If you people don't like President Reagan, why did you even come here? Take your filthy mouths somewhere else. Now, you can reply with more of your childish, uneducated lingo.

  • God bless Ronald Reagan.

    God bless the USA!

  • You sound as if you are the racist. He was a great President.

  • @manbigus Hey I am a pinko lefty atheist liberal who wants handguns banned

You have to like Ron Reagan tho , dont you ? He was impossible to hate

Billy Graham , on the other hand NUTTER

  • @manbigus he was a muerderous thug

  • @TheNationalistParty You are in the absolute minority. Plus, being from NZ and of a Nationalist Party, you could only hope to have a leader like President Reagan. I work with several Kiwi's who adored the man and the beliefs of the US of A. Again, you know squat but, I bet you are glad to know that the USA will protect you when needed.

  • @manbigus the Nationalist Party name is a mockery of the NZ "National Party"-who are right-wing fascist hypocrites.

Those kiwis must have been red neck morons. Most new zealanders loath and hate the United States and all the terrosit acts it has committed: Guantanaomo bay, Abu Ghraib, May Lai etc etc..

You can stick your future help up your arse, NZ would rather ask islamics for help than stoop to your level there in the good ol U$A

  • @TheNationalistParty The Kiwi's I work with love the states. The Kiwi's I have known over the years are the same. Good thing that The USA is a peaceful country and even better for you to know that should anyone ever find and attack NZ the US would send help for you should Australia need it. God Bless The USA. I know you love the states.

  • you are the only piece of shit here

  • What a beautiful song of hope.

  • Though I wasn't a fan of former President Reagan, nor a huge fan of Dr. Tynan, they are both fellow Celts, and for that alone, I respect them.

  • wow i am shocked at these comments.

this is a funeral do we no longer have any respect for the dead. what is this society coming to?

  • Remembrances on your birthday.

    Godspeed Mr. President.

  • I'm a lefty and I love this rendition and Reagan's funer in general. I think he was such a class act to have arranged (and he did) to have his funeral in the American Episcopal Church in this lovely cathedral, and not some rightwing snake handling Baptist church. This lefty loved Reagan even though I disagreed with much of his policies. He brought down the iron curtan without firing a shot, more than you can say for the genocidial Bush's.
