The 600,000 you are quoting is from the Lancet survey which surveyed 1,000 households in Baghdad. They then used some cock-eyed formula to extrapolate the numbers. It has been discredited by almost every reputable source.

Yeah but that is just your opinion about that survey, and also Bush's opinion. He seems to think only 30,000 have died since the start of the war, which is utter bollocks, but i wouldn't expect anything more than utter crap to come out of that man's mouth.

And there are other surveys that put the death toll between march 03 to June 06 at 151,000 which suggests it is a lot higher than 96,000 for the whole war.

The people that did the lancet survey have nothing to gain by lieing, unlike Bush.

it is still way to many death's for the reasons that are behind the war.
