@yngliars ... yes, yes, and the indians. You wanna trade stuff like this, non-Muslims can do that with you (see my last reply), and yes, Christians and the West have their share of stuff. When Muslims pt. this out, though, it's criticism; when it's pt'd out to you, it's hate (this where I get the death threat now?). This alone makes Islam inferior: not that it's done/doing bad stuff, others have/do, but that it denies it, or continues to do it, instead of saying WTF and flying right.

@12ut5 After all the replies you received, I would also like to raise the issues of the Crusaders who massacred the Jews and Muslims indiscrimiantely hundreds of years back. Back then, Islam was not a centre of terrorism i.e. was not the source of terrorism moreover those period were much more closer after its revelations than today. Yet in the present we have terrorists who disguise as Muslims.

And by the way, are you aware that the Crusaders were said to have massacred the innocents in Jerusalem to the point that the level of blood was up the knee level? Who were the Crusaders? Weren't they Christians? Don't get me wrong but referring to the Crusaders does not mean Christianity is a religion that has teachings of spreading terror. But it is the people who distort the original teachings of a respective faith.

@izuddin151, Hmmm. In a way, it's nice you took so much time to reply. I wonder why, though. To change me or to avert any critical view of something, apparently, so central to your life and identity: Islam. Me, I'm aware that Islam and its history are not as you portray: perfect. "Total respect?" You should know, ie, that being a dhimmi is discriminatory, not respect. Your starting pt. is flawed. Islam (doctrinally) has bigger problems than any other religion. Fix, don't whitewash, it, please.

@12ut5 The issues you raised can surely be discussed e.g. the issue of Dhimmi whereby tax are imposed even upon the non-Muslims (correct me if I am wrong because I am a near-agnostic who is currently still searching). However, I was only replying to your comment which emphasied more on terrorism. Even though you brought up other issues such as abovementioned, the central of discussion is about whether Islam spreads terror.

@12ut5 I do not know which aspect of Dhimmi that you are having an issue with. But what I can suggest you is to read more on Dhimmi during the 19th century especially in Khanate or Khiva (that's a place, btw) and see how even the non-Muslims were satisfied. However, I do not wish to stray from the main topic which you initially brought up. I'll leave the rest of the issues for either you to research more or others to correct you.

@12ut5 And oh -just to share my opinion. Probably the reason why many of us see Islam as distorted because of, apart from the media etc., also the time we live in. Assuming if we were to live and witness during the time of the Crusaders, we'd be blaiming on others. I admit I've not look more into the doctrines of Islam but what I can agree is that yes, some of us are doing our best to solve issues. Yet there are always people who will continue to distort meanings and the original teachings.
