  • Pure magic - the video barely does his sound justice. Hearing this live is a very uplifting experience.

  • I remember for a few years my brother was inspired enough by this dulsimer player to try and learn it himself.

I only have track 9 from the cymbalenuim album by Masley

  • He was outside of the NAMM show a few days ago. Bought both of his CDs!

  • I see he's lengthened his bowhammers.

  • Saw him playing in front of the Game Developers Conference a few years ago and bought both CDs he had available. Did not regret it.

  • Now THIS is busking.

  • Wow, them are your fingernails? CRAP!

What happens if you break one of your finger nails.

j/k, children, I know that's NOT his nails.

  • this guy is dope.. i talkd to him and apperently he made that instrumental the cymbalom. i bought both his cds..bouta listen to them rite now.

  • he was at UCI 3-4 weeks back, haha

  • He's at the UCLA campus now.

  • Yeah, this guy is a part of the Berkeley experience. If you went to Cal and never stopped on your way to class to zone out to his music, you missed out.

  • I saw Michael playing in SF a little over a yr ago, blew me away, a super guy, virtuoso, what a beautiful ethereal sound he makes, I bought his album, awesome!

  • This guy is a major part of the experience of living in Berkeley. As important as the greenery ambush dude in SF.

  • I only thought today to look for him here. I met him MANY times on the streets of San Francisco when I lived there. He sounds just as otherworldly as ever, and even more practiced! Bravo!

  • Just saw him in Berkeley last week - truly amazing! You can buy one of his CDs from his self-serve table or find Cymbalennium online.

  • search Toni Iordache if u like this instrument. Heţs the king of Tambal. RIP

  • This guy never fails to stop foot traffic. You simply can't believe what you're hearing. I've been going to Berkeley for 27 years and have been lucky enough to have seen him in person. Buy his records.

  • sounds even more rich and mythical in person / live.

  • What a unique instrument!
