  • BRAIN BUSTAAAA

  • KAWADA! You F'N scare the children, you monster.

  • @rayrayALA This video has nothing to do with either of those companies.

    Cool story, bro.

  • @AngeTheDude i know, someone else was talking about them, so i stated the obvious

  • @rayrayALA and not to mention Big Japan is only "way" better than NOAH if you prefer garbage wrestling

  • "Requesting a Medic. Do you copy?"

  • Dang, he didn't kick out, he GOT kicked out!

  • Heyooooo!

    *rimshot*

(and yes, I giggled at this)

  • eat it randy orton

  • In all japan, wrestling is a show.

In new japan, wrestling is a match.

In noah, wrestling is a battle, and Misawa died in the battle.

Noah is the best wrestling promotion in the world.

  • Now that's how you punt someone in the head.

  • Kawada wins! Fatality!

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!!!

  • I'd think twice before kicking out of Kawada's suplex-ddt.

  • Kawada punted the fuck out of Goto!

  • Brutal. Then again I wouldn't expect nothing less from Kawada.

  • Not only that, but he can still bring the goods and give us quality matches consistently unlike Misawa.

  • Yeah... Kobashi and Kawada have a lot more longevity than Misawa, that's for sure. Maybe it's the whole being MR OFFICE MAN at Noah that made Misawa get all... puffy and weak sauce.

  • I really think it is all the stress of being the top wrestler and president of the company. It's a lot of added stress. Plus he was a bigger name before those two thanks to Jumbo, so more years at the top of the card can also be a reason.

  • hey, we can't be bashing misawa just because he got to the top quicker and therefore met his shelf life expiration quicker......that said......

he is definatly my least favorite of the 3..lol

  • I'm not bashing him, but I think he needs to step down. Have the tact Jumbo had where he can back out of the spot light and let a guy like Marufuji or KENTA take the wheel. Feel me?

  • yah, I think they could have used rikio, morishima, or even Akiyama more but Marifuji is definately the next misawa, and clearly KENTA is the new Kawada.

  • In no way is that true...

both are Jr's and KENTA is likely to stay that way. Marufuji may dangle in the heavyweight scene or be full heavy when he comes back, but he is one of the best jr's in japan

NOAH's future ace is bound to be Go Shiozaki who is awesome, and a lot is being made of Takashi Sugiura, who despite being 38 has broken out recently.

  • Dude, how can you count out KENTA with one breath and then talk about a 38 yr old breakout star in the next?lol, we are only talking about if things stay the course they are now. with that said being junior has no relevance because as your mentioned b4 marifuji is already broke through, as has ogawa b4 him. Shiozaki is gonna be a big deal ,no doubt, I simply see him as someone with a shelf life because of his constant kobashi comparisson people make. so I must ask,how was my statement wrong?

  • because..

a.) KENTA is too small to bulk up to heavyweight size

    b. ) yes Sugiura may be 38, but hes a relative newcomer as he started wrestling later than most, so his body has less damage than a normal 38 year olds would, so he can still be considered NOAH's future.

c.) Popularity has nothing to do with Juniors gaining Heavyweight sucess in Japan, just take a look at Jushin Thunder Liger, one of the most popular wrestlers ever, but hasnt ever been IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

  • your analogy fails sir, as KENTA being a heavyweight has very little to do with his upward mobility in NOAH. as I said b4 , Ogawa and marifuji kicked that door down.Sugiura is as much the future there as batista is here,he may have a hot run, but there is no point in saying 10 yrs from now he will still be the man.and your final point about popularity having nothing to do with juniors gaining heavyweight fame?well using liger was wise, however I simply go back to ogawa & marifuji's GHC Success.

  • Ogawa's GHC reign is generally known as being unpopular because Misawa seems to love him

and Marufuji was Heavyweight size at the time but was still considerered a junior yes....which was one reason why his reign didnt draw the way it should have.

I'm not doubting KENTA is very popular in Japan i just think he'd be better off staying as NOAH's junior ace until Aoki can step up

Your completely entitled to your own opinion though, and your right, Sugiura may just be going through a hot spell atm

  • hell yah mate, you are entitled to yours as well. Its kind of fun to have an actual debate based on the credentials of the wrestlers as opposed to who's over in vinces eyes.lol

that said, I completely agree that KENTA should stay in the Junior division,as you said he's just better off there.

also, I see Sugiura stickin around for atleast a few years of main event status....I just kind of view him in the same light as batista.not knocking his work, i just meant as far as shelf life.

  • Nice discussion fellas...and what a difference a week makes. RIP, Misawa.

  • OMG

I had to check after you wrote this.........just OMFG....that's all i got....

  • Just a horrible tragedy. I still can't believe it happened and it's a shame he didn't retire or have corrective surgery before it came to this.

  • The most successful Junior turn heavy wieght wrestler I think is Misawa.

  • you could really build your whole company around those two men with great success

  • I agree. I'm really looking forward to see how Puro will progresses with those two at the wheel for NOAH and Tanahashi, Nakamura, and Goto over at NJPW. I don't see much new talent over at the good old AJPW though.

  • the sad, sad, state of AJPW........ they are really taking the same route of WCW in the late ninetys with Mutoh at the wheel, nothing agaist him but the comparrison is there. they have had some succes with turning Kojima into a legit star though.

  • Yeah, AJPW situation is so sad that they're the best booked promotion of Japan, have some up-and-comers like Soya and Sanada, have a great main event scene (Kojima, Suzuki, Funaki, Mutoh, Suwama, Kea), and is No. 2 of Japan behind AJPW.

C'mon, ROHbots, stop your day-dreaming fantasies, and realize that, right now, NOAH isn't the best of Japan, and are on crisis mode, even before Misawa died.

  • NOAH has KENTA, Sasaki, Nakajima, Shiozaki, Morishima, Kobashi.

All puttting on much better matches. Being "number 2" is like saying TNA is better than Chikara/PWG/ROH.

  • Well done for learning all those names from ROH. NOAH has been dying for years. They can still produce good matchest, but the booking has been in auto-pilot mode for years, they haven't successfully created any big names that they can push after the old AJPW vets are gone and quite frankly nearly everyone in the company is lazy as fuck 90% of the time. When you compare it to AJPW, which has great booking, Big Japan, which has the hardest working roster in Japan.. NOAH is a sinking ship..

  • And that's coming from someone that loves japanese wrestling and wants it to bounce back to life and for NOAH to be doing great.. unfortunately they are just digging themselves into a deeper and deeper hole.

  • @AngeTheDude ouch, though I agree
