  • im english and let me tell u the real britons are the welsh and english dna proves it, the scots are originally from ireland same as the bagpipes

  • the bagpipes are from ireland originally same as the scots people

  • Wher can I get good info on Scottish bagpipes?

  • There were pipes of different sort in alot of countries but The scottish bagpipe was brought from Ireland!! Its a fact!

    Sorry lads!

  • The bagpipes were not brought to Scotland from Ireland - what a load of bollocks.

You Americans are a bunch of morons.

The bagpipes are Scottish, please remember this.

  • @chadstur1991 Wow, dont be an asswhole man.

I know the bagpipe is Scottish.

  • you people are getting awfully mixed up between pipes and bag pipes. The introduction of the bag to provide the air to the pipes instead of a seperate musician was added much later, and it occured in several countries then spread. A pipe instrument exists in every country in the world. It is one othe the most basic of intsruments, to say it originated in any one place is nothing short of retarded. And tbh who cares where it came from? It's here and its awsome. Let's leave it at that

  • scottish people are so wierd my mom was born there

  • You're talking only about the irish and scottish bagpipes, but do you know there's also a bulgarian bagpipe?

  • he says that dumb ass

  • actually it was the scottish who invented the bagpipes...and borrowed them to the irish! and the rest of the world love them so play em too!

  • actually the pipes originated in the middle east. the whole idea of irish or scottish bagpiping is a middle eastern idea. it was originally a war instrament so it can be played even if your throat tenses up when your nervous. i did a whole research project on the matter.

  • You missed a lot. irish brought warpiping to Scotland.

The Warpipe was important in Gaelic Ireland and Scotland.

  • Actually theres no evidence for that, some historians think the warpipe came with the Romans and they didn't bring it to the Irish. Up until the 8th century the Irish played a mouth blown reed as did the Picts. The view of the Gaels bringing the pipe to scotland is very graton Flood in theory and has been disproved.

  • Ireland could have gotten a pipe during the Anglo-Norman invasion of Ireland.
