One of our family friends use to do this in the river every winter, he used to break a portion of ice in the river and do it for about 30 mins every day..(supposingly to wake him up and refresh)...but its very dangerous...

people get there early you have to, to park and its going to be the world record this year go to the site, my friend has a place on the boardwalk and we celebrate before, its a huge event!

i love long beach! i just moved out of it. I wish i didn't but when i was there i went in all the time. its so much fun and is not that bad. I like it! maybe i will see you there when i visit next Feb. and i will totally go in!!!!

It really wasn't as bad as it sounds. I wasn't sure I was going to do it at first either, just filming, but now after doing it I'm so glad I did. Not everyone who was there did go in, but they should have!
