Only today after watching this video for more than 100x I ve noticed how powerful this Motherboard is

This gentleman as 2 separate CPUs with 4 cores in the same motherboard , the combines as a single CPU with 8 threads , If this motherboard was compatible with 1156 sockets I7

In theory you could have 16 threads running which are two i7s running at the same time

Conclusion with two i7 this motherboard would be running 4 cores at all time even when not using multi threaded apps

I was supposed to get a skulltrail system from a friend of mine, but the motherboard had a broken chip on it so I ended up going with the i7 920. OC'd to 4GHZ and gets 37 seconds with a score of 23,300. Not bad for a $1300 CDN PC. how much was the 9775's? $1550 each? ouch man.

You can get a server board and use the server versions of the i7 to get dual i7s. The Intel Xeon 5500 series are the same processors as the i7. just more expensive.

I have the skulltrail setup, but mine is not for gaming, but rather 3D, animation, and post production work made by BOXX.

So far, under XP64, ive reached 29973 on my Cinebench score @ 3.99Ghz.

Oh Ok..thnx... but one last question...How Did u remove it man..The Fan In the Drive cage that comes with the case cannot be removed from the outside because it has some black weird plastic things which cannot be removed by a screwdriver unless thy re broken... i havent opened the case completely to see if the fan can be removed from the inside of it but ok and EXCUSE ME For Wasting your time on this question but this is killing me.. i want to put 2 cages like you too .. it looks nice

Great question, you can OC the CPU's independent of each other...so if one is running hotter that the other you can compensate...

Its all nice and all but run 3DMark06 on this vs the 3 way SLi. I think you will get high score in the 3DMark06 in 3 way SLi. (Quad SLi barely gets 17K while Tri-SLi can get 32K)

I think it definitely does, it is a lot less expensive too. I guess it depends what kind of performance you need. Skulltrail is for calculating to the extreme, while the 780/790i is for gaming. BTW: Can you run three 9800 GX2 cards on the 780i platforms? or will it not recognize it as 6, because the 780i comes with a tri-bridge? And what is the unit called that you displayed the text on the front bezel of your case trubitar?! that is cool.
