@whewfan It's entirely possible. The original NBC version of "The Match Game" used to take polls at 30 Rock from audiences at "The Tonight Show," "Snap Judgement," "Jeopardy!", "Concentration," and "Eye Guess" in their respective studios after show tapings. Since multiple episode tapings were done in Hollywood in Studio 33, it was probably done during breaks between episode tapings.
Stanley is clearly the shows guinea pig with the super match but she played it okay. ______ bridge was an okay way to start out the show and right away you can see the interesting answers and the panel's skills. I think we should owe it the Stanley for starting the tradition of picking Richard to play the Head-to-Head match with. Not a bad choice since Richard's wit and debonair featurs have already been established by this point. What an interesting first name.
at 2:27 Richard Dawson was impersonating Stan Laurel? It almost seems like it could have also been Paul Lunde or even Charles Nelson Reilly

It's possible that they also polled audiences from Price is Right (considering it was a GT production also in studio 33)

Richard D. effectively says, "I'll accept being called *Richard Harris;* just don't call me *late for dinner!*"

This is episode 1 right? So how could the Match Game poll a recent studio audience if this was the first episode? hmmm.... interesting.

TV shows always tape demo pilots that never get aired. I would guess they used the audience from that.

Why didn't the woman say "Bill Collector" or even ""Bill Blass." LOL.

@priscillaofmanila Or "Bill Conrad"? "Cannon" was a big-time TV show then.

I gotta' say, Richard Dawson had a couple of Charles Nelson Riley moments. At least in his voice.

Weird how Gene read the Head-To-Head Match Phrase before he asked Stanley to select a celebrity to play with.

Naked without the neon sign in the back, but it was the first episode.
