Her voice is amazing! I remember hearing her for the first time on Disney when I was 17. It's what, 5 years later, and I hear her voice again, and it's still just as beautiful. It's not like when you hear stuff in the past and think it's pretty, then hear it in the future, and think, "Why the hell did I ever like that?" She's really good. I hope she gets better in rehab. I know she's stressed, but she has such potential.

I love how everyone seems to think she does all the work. Don't get me wrong, she's great, but there's no way she writes all the instrumentation. And let's face it, that's a BIG part of her music. I mean, just listen to the fabulous Chuck Loeb-esque jazz guitaring during the chorus.
Good singer, but her band is great too (I'm guessing that the members have changed quite a bit) and without them, she wouldn't be near as good as she is. Every great singer needs a great band or they become boring.

Anyone, famous or not, can get cheap access to songwriters, especially someone who's aiming as high as she was at that time. And we know she had the money and ability to do so, because she had to have a band to record it... a good band. Very few solo artists write the entire song themselves. It's usually split between them, songwriters, the band, and sometimes the producer.

I love how everyone seems to think she does all the work. Don't get me wrong, she's great, but there's no way she writes all the instrumentation. And let's face it, that's a BIG part of her music. I mean, just listen to the fabulous Chuck Loeb-esque jazz guitaring during the chorus.
Good singer, but her band is great too (I'm guessing that the members have changed quite a bit) and without them, she wouldn't be near as good as she is. Every great singer needs a great band or they become boring.

@Minime101774 I know that this was from before she was big. But that still doesn't mean she wrote it all herself. Anyone, famous or not, can get cheap access to songwriters, especially someone who's aiming as high as she was at that time. And we know she had the money and ability to do so, because she had to have a band to record it... a good band. Very few solo artists write the entire song themselves. It's usually split between them, songwriters, the band, and sometimes the producer.
