  • i cant tell you how much ive spent trying to kill my crab grass, honestly hundreds of dollars i was going to call in a pro wich i should have done at the start but this worked i did a few testers in my yard and the were black the next morning and died out all together, im sold your now my new hero.

  • will baking soda only kill crab grass? I live in S.Florida w/st augustine

  • @annie33026 I tried baking soda on crabgrass and dallisgrass mixed into St. Augustine and bermuda lawns. Plants which are salt-resistant (such as St. Augustine and unfortunately bermuda) seem to handle this treatment, but I didn't treat many varieties of grassy weeds. Some varieties of St. Augustine (and bermuda for that mater) may be more sensitive to salt - you should spot test a small area before applying the baking soda to a large portion of your lawn.

  • Very nice instructional video... Bravo!!!!

Do you have Floratam St. Augustine Grass? Does it kill the weeds to the roots or is it just leaf damage?

Thanks for the very informative video.

    Derrick

  • @derrickb1974 Thank you Derrick. I can't tell you what kind of St. Augustine I have, but it isn't Floratam. The baking soda kills the leaves, but with sufficient coverage and leaf death, the crabgrass plants weren't able to recover. The St. Augustine grew back in quickly.
