@Bladewing10 It's rather powerful, isn't it. I'm pretty sure any creatures that may have been in the area were destroyed, along with the very land itself and any artifacts that might have been buried beneath.

Wish there was something to show the scale on those flows coming off the glacier, but clearly these are massive lahars.

how much change is there, that katlar will break out also? News told about that theory Eyjafjallajökull & Katlar break out together - and that Eyjafjallajökull is always the first one. How high is the change of an douple eruption of the two vulcans? ATM there just news about the ash which comes again and again to Europe...

Very bad news for me. :( I was planning hiking trip in this area on the summer.

Just wondering, is there any chance that the water go away before July?

Eyjafjallajökull last erupted in 1821. The eruption lasted for over a year. Therefore you might have to cancel your hiking trip :( However nobody knows how long the eruption will last. Volcanoes are rather unpredictable!
