  • this is very cute! great choice of music and wonderful pets! I'm adding it to favorites, it is just such a nice video =)

  • I have two ferrets one is 8 1/2 years old the other one is 1 1/2. i just got the youngest one. the oldest one we have had since she was a tiny baby from the pet store. The oldest one has gotton out of the house twice. and both times she has went to the carport and started to sleep on the rug then we found her. but she never has acted much like a ferret. the new guy is crazy wild. he worries me cause you have to watch him more closely. they are great pets.

  • @AmyWright26 One of the things I like best about ferrets is that they have such different personalities, you never know what you are gonna get. Add to that taking on an older ferret that may have serious issues that you don't even know about due to maybe neglect or abuse and you have one very complicated animal, but put in the effort and the rewards are well and truly worth it.

  • My dogs NEVER even when im gone hurt my ferret. There very sweet. If anything my dogs are afraid of my ferret! My cat though is the one I have to worry about hurting my ferret. But she getting better. ^ ^

  • Is poor little Farken is still alive ? I doubt it after reading your last comment.

  • Farken survived the loss of half a tail, but my purse didn't! But we lost him a year later when he got out. It has already been 12 mths on April 12 and I still miss him terribly. I have 4 new ferrets now and their tails are all in tact and they are much more closely watched when interacting with the dogs.

  • @TubularBelle so sorry that your beautiful ferret is gone, but I bet your four ferrets are doing great! They have a very caring family. And I'm glad you watch them a lot more =) Also hope that Molly is doing wondeful!

  • border collies and ferrets are the two greatest pets to hav no questions asked

  • They do seem to get along really well together, altho you can never trust a large dog with such a small animal. Molly is very tender but the minute I left them alone, Molly bit off half of Farkens tail!!! I'm sure he was latched onto her before it happened though. There a quite a few videos on here of Border Collies with ferrets. Thanks for commenting and watching.

  • aww. that brought back so many memories for me!! I have a BC & I used to have a ferret, they were best friends!!! thanks for posting this!!

  • I think Border Collies are probably the safest large dog to have around ferrets as they are generally so gentle, but they are childlike too, so if the ferret bites, the dog sees no reason not to bite back, forgetting that he is 10 times his size. There are many Border Collie and ferret videos on You Tube. Get another ferret.

  • Great video! I have a Border Collie who just turned 7, he's such a suk , he acts like every human is his best friend.. He's still in many ways just like a puppy.. Ive always wondered how he would get along with a ferret, Ive wanted one for a while now

PS sorry to hear about Farken :( He looked very happy :)

  • We got Molly when she was 6 mths old, she lived with an old lady who was going to a retirement village. She is nearly 3 now and is still frightened of people, most esp children and it is such a shame because she is the sweetest, most loving dog, but we simply cannot work out how to free her of this fear. Dog obedience classes did little.

GET A FERRET, THEY ARE AWESOME.

  • Omg the end floored me, I wasn't expecting it to just TOPPLE over.

  • Not only that, the sound was perfect too. BANG on the wooden floor. Good stuff.

  • Actually, he fell into the firewood bucket.

  • That was so good. I just lost my Border Collie and this cheered me up.

  • Thank You. Losing pets is VERY hard. I dont think our Molly is pure Border Collie, her pups looked more Blue Heeler than Border Collie.

  • Interesting. I have a half Blue healer that looks like a Border Collie crossed with a White German Shepherd but we know his dam was a purebred blue healer. We don't know what the sire was. I used to have a ferret so I adore this video!

  • I am assuming by dam you mean Mother and sire you mean Father. Border Collies are great dogs but so are Heelers, all working dogs have a good nature. Thanks for commenting.

  • Just an awesome video. Thanks for sharing. May God bless you and your little pals!

  • Thank You for commenting. Farken went missing in April and I still cry nearly every night when I drive home from work hoping to see him. I have two new ferrets now, Frodo and Fanny.

  • So cute! Especially the part where they ate from the same bowl and when Farken fell off the couch!

My ferret Tinkie died last week, she was 9 1/2, so she was pretty old, but I'm so sad I wasn't there! I am overseas atm =(.

Ferrets are great, its like having a permanent kitten! They are so tenacious and playful! It really annoys me when people keep them caged most of the day.

  • Yeh I want to send Farken falling off the couch to Funniest Home Videos, he he. Sorry to hear you weren't there when Tinkie passed on, 9 1/2 is doing very well, I met a 5 yr old ferret who looked at deaths door even tho the owner said he was healthy. You cannot keep them caged, they need human interaction as much as any dog does. And you said it perfectly, they are forever young, what more could you want. Will you be getting another ferret when you return? Thanks so much for commenting.

  • I was very lucky. Other ferret owners that they are always getting sick, but Tinkie was healthy the whole time. Except for when she was old, she just got less playful, and more lethargic, I took her to the vet, he said it was just age. Since then she declined rapidly I hear, and she died last week.

I will get another for sure. I want to get two, but it would be too much work for me I think as I let Tinkie run around the house when I was home, and kept her in the kitchen when I wasn't

  • He looked like my ferret miko, who passed away saturday! I miss Miko and have been working on a sims dedication to him. He was a beautiful ferret, and died, smiling.

  • So sorry to hear about Miko, how old was he and what did he die from? Let me know when you do your Sims dedication. Farken went missing 2 mths ago so now I almost feel like it would be a privelage to have him die in my arms, than to lose him so young without knowing what has happened to him.

  • 13 ferrets free roam here!

Molly and Farken look like they are like connected souls.

  • Don't think I could handle 13 of them, I would like to have 4. A sable male to replace Farken, a black eyed white female I would name Fellatio, and the two I have now, a silver mitt called Frodo (Baggins) and a gorgeous cinnamon called Fanny (Adams). I am stricter with mine now after losing Farken, they have a whole room but don't get out loose as often as Farken did. They got out yesterday and I was very upset but we found them quickly Thank God.

  • Ferrets rule! But one thing should be made clear- they are not pets. They are companions. They just want to play with you, be your best friend, & love you unconditionally. Can we say that about most people? Long live Farkin & his canine companion. May they forever romp & play with abandon!

  • Hello my new dear friend. Only ferret owners understand don't they. People compare ferrets with other cage animals like rabbits and guinea pigs, thinking they are happy to sit in a cage all day and eat carrot. The reason people complain that they smell is because they are meat eaters and you cannot confine a meat eater in a small area as they will no doubt smell. Ferrets should be compared to dogs and cats, they have a higher intellect than dogs, that is obvious when watching them play together.

  • The end of your clip is Classic Ferret- falling off furniture!!! My 2 little Ferret Friends chase each other like mad all over the couch- jumping, attacking, flying leaps in the air. It's like a martial arts movie- "House of the Frantic Flying Ferrets of Fun." Then, out of no where, one will just be simply sitting still, doing nothing- and then falls off the couch! HAHAHA!! Then he'll jump up all cool, like "What's up? I planned that!"

  • I tried to send that last bit of Farken falling off the couch to the TV show 'Funniest Home Videos' but we couldn't work out how to convert it to AVI. The two things that convince me the most of their intelligence is the way they look at you or their surroundings, planning their next mode of 'attack' play and the way they use their little paws like human hands. Can't wait to upload video footage of my new little mates, Frodo and Fanny, hopefully this week.

  • Love your Farkin, it just goes to show that Ferrets can win anyones heart. We have a polecat presently (name Meazles) and a white albino (name Tinkie). They both say hello to Farkin. Sandie.

  • Thanks Sandie, I would love to get another one but my Partner thinks Farken is handfull enough. I have lots more Farken videos, I hope you'll watch them.

  • my Etoile is the same with our cats, and she knows not to hurt. Although she does think she is above the hoover in the 'family' pecking order

  • Is Etoile a dog? Our dog has to go outside when I hoover or even sweep or I would never get it done. The broom does not even make a noise. Lucky I don't clean too often!

  • my border collie also name Molly lol

  • They look like Mollys don't they? There are a couple of them on here.

  • 2:25 shows the dog loves his owner. Good

natured dog, that one is. Pets like these are

good for the soul. The good times these little guys provide is worth more than money

  • She's quite mad, we got her at 6 months of age and she had issues let me tell you, but we love her and she is well behaved most of the time. Absolutely agree that the good times are worth more than money. We just had to spend nearly $400 on the little furball, desexing and tail amputation but he was worth it.

  • This is priceless!!!

  • Thank You so much. Hope to put a cute compilation video together of Farken from over 100 videos I have taken of him, but the falling into the bucket is still our favourite bit.

  • reminds me of my heeler and our cat

  • We used to have a Blue Heeler called Oliver, he was a great mate and is very sadly missed. Our Cat hasn't taken to the ferret.

  • Super ,moje dwa fredziki też uwielbiają się bawic z naszym psem:)

  • Pardon.

  • That was amazing and beautiful! It really got a hold of me. lol.

  • I'm so glad you liked it, I have several more of these, altho Farken and I are having problems at the moment. He doesn't love me anymore for some reason, it's either because I changed his diet, for his own good of course, or because he needs the snip.

  • Well, there will be no more Farken and Molly videos, see my latest video.

  • i got a border collie mixed with german shepperd and hes acting exactly the same with my baby ferret, sometimes im afraid the dog would bite too hard tought

  • I never leave them alone together but Farken is only 6 months old and can certainly hold his own. He lets me know when he has had enough of Molly. The only real problem I have is when Farken bites Molly too hard and then Molly is not playing anymore, so, they must always be kept an eye on. Good Luck.

  • LOL When he had the dogs lip

  • Hello fellow american

    Giuliani is out of control.

All we hear from him is 9/11, but do you remember Rudy before then?

    WE sure do.

Check out what our fellow ferrets are saying about him:

Just Search for nyferrets on youtube

    Yours truly,

  • verry nice !

  • Ta 8^)

  • I love how that ferret holds his own! My border collie is aggressive with strange people but once he knows you he is too gentle.

  • Molly barks at or runs from our visitors, except last weekend she went from biting my son to trying to hump him (and she's a girl) all in one day. We took a photo of him having to fight her off to show everyone else because they won't believe it.

  • She's not the only one! I grew up with a border collie cross and she would hump anything that moved. Especially the neighbour's cat, who was very patient with her. I think it was her way of giving you a special cuddle...

Great clip though, and a fine choice of song.

  • Thankyou, yes Border Collies are way too intelligent for their own good, if they don't get the positive stimulation they need constantly they can be very destructive and hyperactive. Molly turns 1 on the 28th of Feb. She features in my latest video.

  • thankyou for pitting this on. im trying to convense my dad to get a ferret but he thinks the dog and it wont get along. this is proof that they can and play.

  • My cat never took to him, she's old and they need to be kittens, and I don't know how an older dog would adjust, Molly was 10 months old when we got farken, but there are lots of dog and ferret videos on You Tube you can show your Dad. Good Luck, they are a lot of work if you keep them in the house not in a cage, like we do with Farken, but they can be toilet trained and are very intelligent and so entertaining.

  • Soooo Cute!!! I have a border collie too! That is the cutest thing I ever seen! lol Mrs. GeezerArt

  • They are BOTH a lot of work, we got Molly at 6 months, she was $100 instead of $600, but oh the problems we have taken on and it doesn't help not knowing her history. People ask me if she has been abused, I think maybe she never left the back yard or saw people.

  • Have you had a ferret as a pet before Farken. I had a ferret as a kid but had to give him up to someone who wanted him for Rabbiting.

  • No this is my first ferret, and I am 46, but I am learning a lot about them.

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeet

  • Yeh but I really need to find some tiny little corks to stick on the end of his teeth. He can lock on sometimes like theres no tomorrow, even Molly has scars! But only when he's hungry as a rule or when Molly has overexcited him. He really is quite affectionate and licks you all the time, BUT DON"T PUT HIM NEAR YOUR FACE!

  • Very cute. And that last shot was priceless.

  • Yeh we didn't even ask him to do that, very obliging isn't he. And the sound was not magnified, he landed in the firewood bucket. P.S.-Didn't mean to step on him in the Park.

  • They are so cute. I love the way dogs will accept other animals in their space.

  • Oh my! That last part was so funny but the rest was really nice too.

  • I love that farken ferret!
