America's corrupt government has fallen. As we move towards economic inequality, with capitalism dying, is America moving towards socialistic society? What happened to the American dream of capitalism?
i think the rise of college degree is all by design, because there are just to many people in this country and the more people that have college degrees the more the job market is going to be overflooded, and people will out of jobs. their trying to balance the playing field.
or they could just be greedy bastards and want more MONEY!
@juki0h No, the problem a lot of these politicians have with college is that; it makes the playing field more competitive. And it makes people more intelligent.
and smart people aren't scared of the gays, muslims, or black people like ignorant bible bashers, and thus the republicans can't get re-elected.
AN I THOUGHT I WAS ALL BY MY SELF BLESS EVERYONE OF YOU THAT STAND-UP TO THIS GREED AND CORRUPT GOVERNMENT THATS A CANCER IT WON'T BE EASY SO DON'T GIVE UP THE MORE THE MERRY
Here in the province of Quebec, Canada, tuition is like just under $400/course for a resident + admin/school fees :) Although it's going up by like 2% a year over the next 10 years or something :(
Same thing is also happening in Ireland (where the fees have gone up even 800%) and in Italy where theyve cut research in a ridiculous way. Its a global problem and all of a sudden we're looking around and thinking WTF is with this worldwide hating on education?
The same thing is happening in the UK. The high street bank Barclays paid £113m tax on its £11.6bn profits this year (under 1%). At the same time, tuition fees for state-run universities has tripled to £9000/yr.
im from the UK and we have the same problems you all have, cuts cuts cuts every day that's all we are hearing, come this Saturday 26th march the UK will march on downing street we have had enough of the government we want Cameron out NOW hes destroying Britain day by day he has to go hundreds of thoughsand will walk on downing street please watch this on TV then do the same we cannot have governments spending our money as they wish its not going to happen we in Britain are marching this sat

When Anna states that 2/3 of corporations do not pay any tax, what specific taxes are these corporations not paying? Is it corporate net income tax and corporate loans tax? Or capital stock tax, shares tax gross, premiums tax etc.? Does she literally mean that these corps. pay zero dollars for every available tax in the U.S.??
@DaniB0626 Effectively, through any number of loopholes, they get away with paying a net tax rate of 0% in many cases and in the case of companies like say, Exxon-Mobile, they are actually getting money from the government instead of paying into the government in any way, shape, or form. Do they need that kind of break? No, but they get it.
The problem is here in the US as well as in other countries like the UK, multi-national corp.'s freedoms take precedent over making individuals more free.
this is awesome i want to fight corps so badly and i am hoping that it wont get to the point where people get fed up so much that they start using violence though because that tends to happen when the peaceful protests get ignored and i would do whatever it takes to keep the middle class intact and tax corps and the richest of the rich
Thank you for supporting higher-education. I attend PSU and not only does this directly impact professors and students, it will devastate the entire state. Penn State's economic footprint is more than $17 billion, directly and indirectly. The proposed budget also includes the loss of $13.1 million for Penn State
Hershey Medical Center! We can not let this happen to the state, the country... the future... What the hell are they thinking...
@shizueleven Well, then I'd prefer no music at all. Making things more interesting with music is a great idea, but only if it adds to the overall experience. For me, it did not. Maybe other people will have other opinions, but I really like where this channel is headed and I'd love to offer suggestions to make it the best it can be.
