@thefreerunningkrew thats because he played in the swac, now i like uapb but the swac is still the swac, the swac overall speed is way slow compared to the sec etc. he just gotta get use to the good blocking and faster game speed then you will see what he can do!

On the newest eagle... he had a great o-line in front of him thats for sure... gonna be interesting to see how he adjusts to the size and speed of the NFL.. We all know hes gonna need to be able to block he he wants to play for the Eagles.. hopefully hes a good pick up! GO BIRDS!!!

He had a HORRIBLE O-Line in front of him...I'm a DIe hard Lions fan. They had 5 different starting left tackles, they had a rookie starter, a Center who got hurt, so they put in an inepereinced guard who didnt know the position. It was a disaster at the O-Line position.

Ive always been in love with #5.. Only knock ive got on him is his inconsistency.. one minute hes the best QB in the league next he cant hit the side of a barn.. he makes some plays no other QB in the league can make.. Only way i want to trade him is if we get a deal that is so good we cant turn it down... like a firs rounder with some Vet talent.. I would like to see what Kolb could do in our offense... But id love nothing more than to see #5 holding up the vince... GO BIRDS!!!

Runs a bit tall, and runs out of bounds instead of fighting for the extra yard. Hits top speed pretty fast, shifty, but doesn't have that extra gear... looks like the DBs can catch up to him pretty easily. Not a bad signing, but is he an upgrade over Eldra Buckley? Finally: the Eagles stopped running when JJack was injured. Like last year, the O-line isn't getting a push to establish the run. I think McCoy and Weaver did a great job and the offense was balanced until JJack went down.

Only Andy, just signing anybody. But the Eagles won't win SB under Andy no matter what. Also, getting a RB doesn't mean anything if Andy doesn't call plays to run the ball. So expect nothing out of this kid when training camp comes.

Eagles fan here. I'm not sure if this signing means much. If I had to guess, I would say he was signed so we could add him to the roster once we get rid of Westbrook, just to meet roster requirements. But that is just my guess. Hope this kid works out, it would make for a really cool story. Definitely like the way he runs.

Jesus the NFL is cleaning the BC Lions up. Congrats Martell "The Hammer" Mallett. I will defiantly tune into more Eagle games next season. With the rate Westbrook goes down, he could see some playing time.

Im an eagles fan, but this is another example of Andy Reid choosing the wrong players. He signs a rugby player to be his punter, in past years he has a defensive lineman play (Dan Klecko) FB, and for the longest time never had a punt returner, and now he signs a player from the CFL. I mean who knows but this may be a good signing, Its just the same old story

Dude... what are you talking about? The second-best punter in the league is an Aussie (Matt McBriar of the Cowboys). Just because Rocca didn't work out does not mean that signing an AUSSIE RULES FOOTBALL (not Rugby) player to punt was a mistake. Also, you know nothing about Mallett, and he will likely be a training camp body. Just by virtue of having played in the CFL, he is a bum? Tell that to Warren Moon and Doug Flutie.
