The danger of showing this way to beginners, is the possibility of stalemate. Toward the end, most beginners will go Qf7, stalemate. You don't even mention that. A safe way to teach this, is to keep the Queen very far from the king to avoid stalemate.

@lobextomy a stalemate is when you cannot make any legal moves and are not in check it results in a draw. Everybody knows that and it was added to the rulees just look it up on wikipedia
