  • Well said. Sable chicken probably is an idiot...... :)

  • Not all xtians are stupid? Really? Nobody ever told me that. Shine a light. I suppose I am going to have to mend my ways :( How about gullable? Can I go for gullable?

  • Oh those fundies should praise their imaginary god that *I* am not in charge. Because *I* do NOT have qualms taking children away from fucktarded brainwashing parents. And I not only don't have such qualms, I'd fucking do it.

If I was in charge then congratulations to her, she'd have just lost her daughter due to being identified as not only an incompetent parent, but a BAD parent. A parent that's harmful to the development and freedom of her child, to be eliminated from the equation.

  • @TheSkunkCat

Besides this Sablechicken... do you think for a moment she wouldn't abandon her kid if her kid turned out the be say... gay, or an unbeliever? Fundies like that don't love their children. Not a single fundie does.

You're doing their children a favour by removing them. It's justice, but people won't see that because they can't see that fundies aren't like they are. They can't see what complete monsters they are.

  • @TheSkunkCat

I mean is there any vile bigotry, and low dishonesty, and ruthless manipulation that the fundies won't sink to?

I can't think of a single redeeming quality they possess, and tons of bad ones. If all fundies actually got their wish and where REALLY persecuted, and we killed them all, we'd be doing the world and humanity a huge favour.

FUCK fundies. And they'd better pray hard to their imaginary god that their fate will never be up to me.

  • I couldn't get past the 5 min mark of her video, it reminded me so much of my own childhood, I very nearly lost my breakfast.

  • I didn't web know who this chick was until she started making retarded comments on one of my videos. I'm starting to piece together what kind of person she is now though.

  • It's not right...But phil is right, what can we do?

who knows, maybe her little girl will grow up and realize that she can love her mother and think for herself.

It's just really difficult not to cry. My wonderful, bright, cheeky little sister who has more questions than I know the answers to, could be in that situation. Nothing more than a vessel for its mother's message of ignorance and hate.

  • wtf? the chimp didnt throw the spear!!and what buisnes is it of anybody how she relates to her daughter...you lonely man...

  • Lol I like your vid. XD

  • Sablechicken and the hatchling weren't thinking critically, as they claimed they did. They approached the news with hostility, not skepticism. They were sure it was wrong before they saw it. Then they went about finding reasons for it to be wrong. Critical thinking is doubting (doubting, not adamantly opposing) both the claim's rightness AND its wrongness.

  • Hey, I'm a Christian, and I admit that some Christians are stupid. I would rather you say she's stupid and explain why, and make it clear that you're referring to a specific person not a whole religion.

  • @qwexas If you think the Christian religion, the one you're a part of, isn't like this woman then do something. If people like you are the majority, you're not doing shit to help clean up your image.

  • @bIoodypingu I'm approving of calling Christian individuals stupid. In some of these I argue against Christians - individual Christians with individual opinions, not Christianity, or any religion, or atheism - because any person, of any religion, including my own, can say something stupid. To me being Christian mostly means having my lifestyle (behavior, concerns, thoughts) influenced by what I hear in church, like the teachings of Jesus.

  • @qwexas Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5)

You're influenced by things like this?

  • @bIoodypingu What's wrong with obedient service? As long as they aren't telling me to do something bad, I think it's fine. It would reduce disputes if children obeyed parents, workers obeyed bosses, citizens obeyed laws, and people listened to authority. I'm not for slavery because it too easily leads to abuse, not because it's intrinsically wrong. If masters could be trusted with slaves, I'd be fine with it.

  • @qwexas Are you daft? SLAVES. You condone slavery? You're completely retarded. I hope you the worst life possible, there's no hope for people like you. You are exactly the reason why America is a joke to so many countries. You are the reason change cannot happen in America.

Oh and to your comment about "if [...] citizens obeyed laws", guess what your Lord and savior Christ didn't do? He sure didn't obey laws or authority. How fucking stupid are you and other christians?

  • @bIoodypingu I don't condone slavery. It too easily leads to abuse of slaves by masters.

  • @qwexas "If masters could be trusted with slaves, I'd be fine with it." . So let me try and figure this out. You believe the bible, yet you're going to not believe some parts of the bible. The bible is the inspired word of god, who are you to not believe all of it?

  • @bIoodypingu I didn't say that I believe any part of the Bible, or that I disbelieve any part of the Bible. I'm not concerned with its accuracy. I don't care if Noah's flood lasted 40 days or 41. I believe that the Bible and church services have good advice for how to live a holy life. Most, if not all, of the stories in the Bible in some way demonstrate proper and improper kinds of behavior and attitudes. Even the atrocities have lessons.

  • @bIoodypingu I'm not trying to prove the Bible is accurate. I'm not trying to convince you to become a Christian. I'm saying there are right and wrong ways to do anything. One can go about being Christian by attacking every theory that challenges the Bible. One can go about being Christian by claiming divine right to seize anything that's not nailed down. One can go about being Christian by caring about other people and thinking about how our actions will affect them.

  • @qwexas Sorry but you don't need to be a christian to be good and caring. At least non religious people can be intellectually honest with themselves, unlike Christians who have to put on a big ol' cheeser on their face and ignore things that actually do affect them and the world around them.

  • @bIoodypingu I know. I learned my morals in church and from Christian parents, but I know people can learn similar morals from other religions or from nonreligious contexts, and I know Christians can fail to learn the morals. As for intellectual honesty, I've concluded that if I continue going to church and having my attitudes affected by the lessons of the Bible, it doesn't matter whether God exists, or Jesus really performed miracles. I don't think dropping religion would make me better.

  • @bIoodypingu For a system to work, both sides have to do their part. Citizens obey laws. Magistrates make just laws that promote civil well-being. Slaves obey. Masters provide food and shelter and leadership. A bad master doesn't deserve to be obeyed. We're taught to serve God by serving our fellow man. We're taught to treat people as if they were Jesus "Where were you when I was hungry?"

  • @bIoodypingu Have you ever seriously thought about slavery? I mean starting to think without already knowing what you would conclude. Did you come to the conclusion that slavery was wrong through reasoning, or because you learned it in elementary school? I oppose it because generally it leads to disrespect at best, abuse at worst. I wouldn't mind serving a kind master. I like to think (perhaps incorrectly) that I would respect slaves and make life good for them.

  • @bIoodypingu (continued) To me the morals of Christianity are far more important than trying to prove that evolution is false. I don't emphasize the details of concrete facts as the center of the religion. The moral system, with its commandments (refrain from murder & theft) and its underlying principles (love, unselfishness, etc.) takes precedence. My morals aren't threatened by chimps with spears, and I'm no biology expert, so I don't try to disprove evolution.

  • @qwexas The 'underlying principles' taught in the bible are sickening to anyone smart enough to actually read the bible in it's entirety. People like you cherry pick all these nice, loving quotes in the bible conveniently leaving out all the horrible atrocities in your holy book. Ignorance is detrimental to society, that's my ultimate problem with Religion and religious people. It teaches you to not think. Anything you hear that might contradict your fairy tale bible is shrugged off as B.S.

  • @bIoodypingu Hey, cherries are good. I wouldn't pass up a cherry even if I got it from a person who said the grass was orange and we should kick kittens. I'm aware of the first born sons dying, Job losing everything, the world being flooded, harsh criminal justice system… but it all has points. Job is a hero for not being selfish, not putting his own desires before loving God. Egyptians were punished for cruelty to Hebrew slaves.

  • I took a look at Feeblechick's video just now, and in a comment reply, she indicated that she thinks aspertame is poisoning us, and vaccines cause autism. She believes every goddamn stupid ass conspiracy theory out there, but not actual science. This is what is known as "misplaced skepticism".

  • Damn it, this happens too much. Nothing a person can say against a religious person can ever be taken as what it is, what it ACTUALLY says. It must always be twisted until it sounds like some horrible, disgusting statement, even if it no longer resembles what was said. I grow so weary of trying to censor my thoughts when deliberating over how to put things to Theists, for fear they will worm their way into some loophole to misrepresent what I said.

  • watch?v=aAFQ5kUHPkY&feature=related

  • Excellent video-

  • Human intelligence is overrated, even chimps are smarter than us ! Why, you might ask ? They don't have religion kill their braincells.

  • screw us, she's a fuckin' retard, there's no getting around the fact. Ghoudathulhu Fhtagn!

  • As a person with actual native american ancestry, Mormons rightfully disgust me. IS MY SKIN RED YOU FUCKIN PRICKS!? fuck religion!

  • @mmmmmarcus Heh. Muhammad was openly racist and not even muslims are as racist as mormons.

  • no shit

  • wow, very well done! i could learn a thing or two! lol i shouldnt rage when doing a vid.

  • I love the way you made this. Especially the last 20 seconds or so :p

  • Who'd have thought a completely unrelated search on "Richard Strauss" would have brought up a video by one of my favorite atheist YouTubers! Just a shame it had to do with SableChicken or I'd have watched it.

  • man i hope you still make videos this is awesome

  • ROFL! This video was amazing. Great job man, I loved watching it.

  • Were was Trevor in all this?

  • Is it bad that I laughed when I clicked the link and saw the video in question had been taken down by someone using the moniker venomfangx?

  • We can take some comfort that many children force fed their parents superstitions grow up to reject them. Maybe the rest really are stupid. Maybe the greatest problem we face is intellectual lazyiess.

  • WTF???

"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by VenomFangX Christian Media. "

I hope someone mirrors it, even if it is so awful.

  • I just came here from watching another video with children in it that made me *cry*

    - tears of joy. :) Search for "joinchoir still alive" just to have a much happier day. :) *sniff*

  • The thoughts in your head at the end-- its like listening to myself. I often thought of recording voice-overs in a similar manner in some vids. I'm so damned tired of having to tip toe around my own sentiments because of the fear of creating opportunities for sneaky religious people (or pussy atheists) to nit pick and misrepresent me with. I want to counter their sneakiness without compromising my true message. Its always tricky.

  • @ghostofdayinperson I don't consider it tiptoeing around my own sentiments (though trust me, I understand where you're coming from). I try to anticipate objections and deal with them before they come up. For that I need to put myself as far as possible in other peoples' shoes, even the shoes of assholes. But yes, sometimes I just want to scream. :)

  • @philhellenes you're, right-- it really isn't tip toeing because you can still convey what you mean while taking precautions against anticipated (and often predictable) responses. It feels like compromising at times because its frustrating to have to modify the way you express yourself in order to successfully get your point across. This has always irritated me because I wish people would take what I say at face value. I expect too much from people ;)

  • Brilliant! You found a way to say the truth on youtube!!!

  • " This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by VenomFangX Christian Media. "

the first one there in your link.

  • Damn, the fine folks over at VenomFangX Christian Media have decided I should not be allowed to see the original video. Oh well.

  • Funny!

  • I enjoyed this video so much. Just you and the little voice in your head. What? I have a whole jury of those voices in my head-- one is just not enough! Great video. :)

  • fablestricken... That is good shit.

  • That was great

  • This is an awesome video Philhellenes! Fantastic Job!

  • As a reasonable atheist, SHE IS A FUCKING MORON (or is it mormon? bah, same thing). Poor child, may she learn to question the prison being built around her.

  • I love you, man

  • VVV put smarter in " ".

  • I love her arrogant tone over being smarter than a fucking chimp. That woman... holy shit.

  • Sablechicken is an ignorant idiot. I feel so sorry for her little girl.

  • @60schick52 Oh and immature namecalling as you're doing makes you a better person somehow ?

  • @60schick52 i agree as i feel for all children that go through this bullshit it is child abuse

  • @60schick52 Shes a Ignorant son of a bitch twat.

  • English is not my mother-language.....

I laugh and cried watching this video sometimes I did both at the same time... I love it! GO ON!

  • You had an excellent dialogue going with your conscience there. :P

  • And here I thought that nobody could better Geerup's loony commentary on the chimp video. Congratulations are in order, then, for Sablechicken-I didn't think it could be done. White trash at its dim and wilted finest.

  • This is so well done!

  • Great video just one thing. Your mind mic thing it sounds really odd. What is it a push to talk mic?. low music in the background would fix it i think . But i don't know what your going for. Loved the video mate.

  • It sounds as though you were describing my female parental unit.

Please don't despair, The child may yet take charge of her own life. I did...

  • @URNemesis108 maybe but its very slight chance that she will the kid will probably be so badly cripled for life that she may never be able to grow out of this shit hole that is religion

  • haha funny. Last year I had this history teacher who talked about culture. And the subject came up - what actualy is culture. I used the same example as you did, with the chimps and the way that some troups use stones to crack nuts and others use wood. And she sayed I was wrong. She sayed basicley that culture is Rome and Greece and Egypt. Damn I hated that teacher. She also once stated that India is in the Indochina peninsula. Its such a rotten feeling when you know a teacher is wrong

  • Little known fact about sablechicken is that she converted to christianity shortly after being exposed to the intense mental stress of Landmark "Education".

  • Excellent Video!

  • "But what about the child?" i love it

  • @kukynphut and ZenCross1

Thank you so much guys. That was extremely refreshing. I wish I had a quarter for all the hateful, insult filled attacks I've received for saying things just like that on youtube.

  • Comment removed

  • That was her ancestor in living color.Mine was millions of years ago.

  • Refreshing format. I work with kids and see them being indoctrinated on a daily basis, so I can relate to your frustration. Poor lambs being brainwashed for their parents love and caught in the cross-hairs of a bronzed-aged mentality. Poor little sheep; beyond confused as their parents continue to fill their brain with conservative-religious rhetoric, systematically short-circuiting their own children's critical-thinking abilities.

  • No I am saying freedom of religion is a good thing when offered to people of the age to actually be able to think for themselves and choose for themselves.

    Indoctrination of children is WRONG!!

  • Back up and read the commentry I will not repeat myself

  • Can anyone recommend some channels for the viewing of delicious creationist fail?

  • No

I am saying everyone has a right to freedom to religion. And if you actually read what I was saying I was being sarcastic to the previous poster, who was saying Hindu's have more rights than Christians, which is bullshit

  • I blame evolution and natural selection! Religion helps create successful groups and groups that prefer religion share a common genetic trate. That trate is the susceptibility to tend towards religion, stifling the human mind. Without natural selection and evolution we wouldnt have religion!

  • LMAO successful? Tell that to David Koresh}:>Or the suicide bombers}:.>Actually they are both fine examples of natural selection working ( I know done in bad taste).

Is success defined as feeling guilty over everything that you do? Feeling that you must robotically go to whatever worship service and pay tithe or else, and be in a constant state of lying. I don't think I would want that kind of miserable success.

  • "They are both fine examples of natural selection working"

Well yes, but not just as a joke based on suicide bombers foolishness. They intend to kill more people, not just themselves, those that they feel are living lives in contrast to their beliefs and customs(or whatever their reason). Therfore they are selecting to sacrifice themselves in order to kill more people in return, which is a great way of weeding out the population who is considered to be their enemy.

  • I guess in todays "civilised" society (and I use the term loosely, as not all parts of the world or people are, but at least the word can be used to describe some of the population) Many people are supported by government, emergency services, medical technology, etc, as a result of our larger, more successful communities. This of course stems from the success of our ancestors hundreds and thousand of years ago who relied heavily on religion as a way of gaining power; as you know.

  • So when I say "Religion helps create successful groups" I am saying religion helps to control and steer a population and although it may not seem successful from an opposing view point, the population can be more succesful as a result.

  • Any belief system of course can be completely destroyed or overthrown if the opposing group is better at it. This is natural selection and evolution at work!

You mention, is success based on "Feeling that you must robotically go to whatever worship service and pay tithe or else, and be in a constant state of lying" well no! Certainly not from an Atheist's point of view, and perhaps not from the worshipers point of view. They are just brainwashed and caught up in the moment,

  • Please read my posts in reverse order, thanks

but as I mention above (now below) when it is a population thats indoctrinated then it becomes a very powerful tool.

  • Religion perpetuates delusional thinking, if people realized that there was no after world heaven whatever, maybe they would not be so quik to kill one another, and they would probably use contraception on a regular basis to curb the population, most religions preach against contraception advocate abstinence, however we both know that the theory of abstinence does not work, that was my point.

  • LMAO but they don't get to enjoy that success because they're dead. From a self preservation point of view I find that they FAIL big time in the success department, it is funny in a morbid kind of way. I do however enjoy your mind, you certainly grasp the idea of controlling the masses with religion, are you intending to become a false prophet?

  • This video makes me so thankful for my own parents. When I told them I was an atheist, they accepted it. When I fell in love with another nonbeliever, they embraced him. My dad recently sent me an email expressing pride in my "ability to think independently." I'm proud of him too, because I'd guess that most parents are like sablechicken- because their parents were, and so on down the line. We learn how to be parents from our own, just as chimpanzees do.

  • yes keep arguing with the voice....but you do have a point

  • damn awesome video XD

  • To hell with production values.

    This video is beautiful.

  • This comment may come of as random but:

You know what sucks? When we realize nothing matters. Then what?

  • AWESOME ending

  • *Sigh*

I refer you to the anser I gave earlier

What you and people with dogma fail to understand is that it is not a teacher's job to teach them what they know but to teach them to teach our children to learn better than what they know

remember the story off the student who proved his teacher wrong for which the teacher was thankful? When we tell the world "This is how it is" we fail our children.

Evolution does not teach this, it teaches us to look deeper. Religion teaches us stagnation

  • Then it's simple

Introduce facts to a child, introduce options to a child. Don't preach your dogma as the facts without presenting the alternatives.

We don't preach Evolution to you, we stop you from preaching creationism as fact, end off. When you stop telling us how to think, and teaching your kids how not to think then we'll stop.

In short, put up or shut-up, that applies to any religion

  • No, you miss the point entirely as with many of your ilk, silly man

  • Silly man

  • I didn't mean that point, evidently you understood that very well, I ment the 'controlling temper' bit.

That was mocking the way a lot of christians try and rank up against atheists, and make THEM seem unreasonable and bigoted.

Your comment made him come out like a self righteous prick, that's all I was commenting on. :p

  • Oh shock horror, there's religious freddom In America, oh horrible

The Hindu's have a place of worship in a country where there are at least 2 churches every block. We're under attack..

Is this all you have? Pathectic

  • Yeah and?

When I see a Hindu demanding my country gives them special favor or lives by their rules then we'll be dealing with them too. Live with it

  • You're the one who bought up the Hindu comment not me, I just told you to prove your point.

Show us a video of Hinduism doing the same and we will. I hate to point this out to you, but the only reason you bring it up is because you think that we're picking on fundies and idiots who don;t even read the bible they claim to hold store in. You know the one full of contradictions and lies and omissions Sable is adding her own dogma too. That's not education

  • Added to my favourites.

  • I just watched that video this is a response from and it made my blood boil. The irony of her calling athiests "Brain washed" just wouldn't hit her at all.

  • This is one of my favorites:)

  • Damn, dude. Sablechicken is out of her mind. She keeps sending me these messed up messages. That dull look...that moronic lisp...AAAAAuuuuuggghhh!

  • To refuse your child sources of information it needs to understand it's society and it's environment.

This is bad taste. Closer to child abuse if you ask me. Beeing raised by a pack of wolves might be better, at least then the kid learns something usefull.

  • Show us a video of a Hindu doing the same and we might

  • As if dumbing down your kid, under any circumstances, isn't any more obnoxious?

That the IDIOT he is referring to is Christian is a mere coincidence compounded by even more idiocy coming from her.

  • If you mean Phil. Yes he would.

You missed the point, almost completely.

  • Well done! I have to subscribe.

  • Once again. GENIUS! You have every right to call her stupid!

  • Man, I wish I found your videos earlier, I am your new biggest fan.

  • That was fantastic, I'm subscribing and watching the rest of your videos right now

  • The video he was responding to is gone, what was it?

  • It's still there. :)

  • the last 30 seconds are pure gold! hysterical!

  • lol i love this video xD arguing with your own conscience is is made to look normal xD

  • Amazingly well done!

  • I'm used to your video's being imaginative and original, but this is pure gold!

Holy shit, Phil! 5* and bravo!

  • I`m pretty sure that chimp is a lot more intelligent then her.

  • its funny because its true

  • I love this video :O

    Marry me?

  • lol, "think of what the reasonable atheists will say"

    "SCREW THEM!"

    lol

  • using a rock to open a nut is culture? evolution? that makes an animal humanlike? rrrrrrrright, ok. And you're petty insults make you intelligent and cultured too, like the chimp I suppose? Think about it. That so called "miracle of science" is a joke, seriously.

  • My take on every comment you make is that you are being sincere, parymich. In YOUR case I'm prepared to accept that you simply don't have the required intelligence, comprehension skills, freedom of thought, to understand what is being said to you.

You think I'm insulting you? I'm being rude, perhaps. Blunt? Definitely, regretfully. There's just no way to tell someone you think their mind is warped WITHOUT insulting them. Without religion you might be smart, but with it your mind is D-.

  • at first I was going to say it wasnt me but sable you were insulting. Now I see your comment and the attempt to insult me as well, at least you're consistent. But to call me warped and D- simply because you don't agree? your own words show your true colors, PH.

  • Now Parymich (can I call you just "Mich"?), it seems you are evading THE issue (intentionally?). Your first comment here was to question whether breaking nuts open with rocks could be called "culture". I'm asking you if you can imagine WHY they are calling it culture, to see if you CAN think, to test your ability to reason. I think you'll fail or more likely refuse to play. I'm giving you a chance to prove me wrong. Can you figure out why they are calling it culture?

  • my comment wouldnt post here I tried 3 times I will try again.

  • Anthropologists most commonly use the term "culture" to refer to the universal human capacity to classify, codify and communicate their experiences symbolically. This capacity has long been taken as a defining feature of the humans. However, primatologists have identified aspects of culture among human's closest relatives in the animal kingdom.[1] It can be also said that culture is the way people live in accordance to beliefs, language, history, or the way they dress. (Wikipedia)"

  • what else needs to be said? It applies to HUMANS. Chimps are not and will never be human. Yes, they are imitating human acts but it cannot be called culture as it is not their intelligence, and they clearly have no clear understanding of morals and beliefs.

  • yes you can call me mich lol, and I understand what you are trying to do with calling it culture I just don't agree that it is an accurate term that applies that's all

  • Okay, Mich. I was hoping you'd do your own thinking but at least the definition you posted is good. The nut-breaking qualifies as it IS the product of their intelligence (NOT "immitation") and it IS taught. It is NOT instinct because not all chimp tribes can do it. The knowledge is only possessed by some, technique varying between troops, proving it is TAUGHT or LEARNED by tribe.

You don't want "culture" to describe it, yet it does.

  • taught? how so? if you say by humans then there is a problem. Because that makes it clear that they are not learning this on their own and cannot be compared to human intelligence without interference right? And I agreed with the definition that it is a human attribute not applicable to animals, thats why I used it

  • You do realize you posted a definition that agrees with the whole point of my vid, in complete opposition to you and Sable, don't you? Teacher gives D-.

"Primatologists have identified aspects of culture among human's closest relatives in the animal kingdom." You lose.

And it should have been obvious that apes are learning from other apes, ONLY. It's just showing the power of intelligence in adaptation. Nobody is claiming it proves evolution. It's just another piece that happens to fit.

  • "aspects of culture", clearly showing that culture itself is applicable to humans only, only changing to include animals to suit their own purpose, but not accurate. And I idn't really see a point in your video, sorry, other than to rant on how unintelligent you claim everyone to be who has a different opinion than your own. Why is it that people do that anyways? Disagreement does not define stupidity.

  • I don't think you're interpreting the definition as most would. The primatologists are just saying the nut-breaking "walks" like a duck (is locally taught or learned, part of the local "culture"), "talks" like a duck (varies from group to group, like "culture" does). It's looks a lot like a duck. But not to you. Ok.

Disagreement does NOT define stupidity. I agree! But believing in animals being "zapped" into existence COULD be a clue. Never changing your mind IS stupidity, sometimes.

  • Nah, I think stupidity would be not being open to considering all options, which I have definitely already done, so that doesnt apply.

And chimps would not have "learned" the behaviour from their own kind, right from the beginning it would have to have come from an outside source, they would have picked it up from observing mans habits, so its not exclusive to their own kind, "evolving" or adapting, there IS interference.

  • I have to disagree again. I don't think you HAVE considered all options at all. To be able to claim you HAVE considered ANYTHING you would FIRST have to acquire sufficient knowledge upon which to make a sound judgment.

In MY book, to have "considered" evolution, you'd need some physics, chemistry, biology, astrophysics, geology, anthropology and more. Maybe you really think you HAVE considered evolution, but only in the same way I've considered being an Olympic athlete.

  • "...they would have picked it up from observing mans habits..."

Cracking nuts open with rocks? Where would they have seen THAT then? Chimps don't have cable TV and watch Survivor Guy! CROWS can break into nuts, by flying over traffic and dropping them on the road where the cars crack the shells. Then they swoop for the food. You think the CROWS copied that from us too? Animals are smarter than you think.

    D. (Waiting for improvement. No vision being displayed Pleasant in class.)

  • misunderstanding again. I was talking about the weapon thing when I said that, trying to stay on topic according to what Sable did her video on, not about the nuts.

  • "I was talking about the weapon thing when I said that..."

Reiterating Phil's point, "Where would they have seen THAT"? Groups of chimpanzees in the middle of the dense Congo Rainforest would not likely have witnessed humans developing spears and hunting with them. Not to mention, even if someone did go into the forest and did that, chimpanzees would have fled as opposed to sitting there observing.

  • Nobody has ever said chimps will or could turn into humans. Evolution says we share a common ancestor. The only reasons to say, "Chimps are not and never will be human" are either your ignorance of what evolution is, OR you're deliberately setting up a strawman and dressing him in a clowns outfit. Not very ladylike. ;)

AND if you knew about chimp behaviour you'd know that they DO in fact have innate morality and ethics, a sense of fair play. I know some humans who don't have that. ;)

  • perhaps that was slightly misspoken or interpreted then.

To clarify one thing, I do not believe we have a common ancestor, as I do not believe in evolution and that God made each creature separately of its own. Woman may have came from man, but animals are separate.

  • No need to clarify, Mich. I know you. I know where you stand. I know you HAVE to say that you believe all the animals were miraculously zapped into existence at 9AM sharp on the first Monday morning. If I try and imagining being there and seeing it I get the strong urge to laugh. There. You think I'm cruel, for telling you the truth.

You are an animal, a very special animal, a thinking piece of the Universe, perhaps the most SPECIAL animal in the cosmos, and Jesus just wants u 4 a sunbeam.

  • no, I wouldn't think you are cruel for that, merely in How you come across. and I'm not insulted in the least, I know the truth already. And it wasn't a Monday it was a Sunday ;) LOL

  • oops wrong, would have to Thursday and Friday and Saturday for all the anmals LOL, including man...

  • Glad you got the Monday joke. After I posted it I was worried you'd think I was seriously suggesting...oh never mind. Kudos on making me smile.

  • yaaay me I did something right? LOL

    Have a good night :P

  • Think of me as a mean teacher, trying to get through to you, rather than a mean guy trying to hurt you. Like you, I am certain. You should understand that, the motivation, the desire to spread what seems true, the drive to fight misunderstanding and misinformation. I imagine you feel the same. We must forgive each other our "certainties". We're both trying to set the other free. One of us is trapped.

I don't want to seem cruel. Sharp, cutting, derisive even, but not cruel.

  • you can't set me free, nor "science", lol, because God has already done that for me ;)

  • Without the science that you mock the chances are that you would not have survived childhood. Any vaccine that you've had was developed because of a scientific understanding of evolution. Any antibiotic you've ingested was created by people who used what we know about evolution to design a drug that kills the germ in your body. Science, lol, has freed you to live a full life and mocking it makes you seem extremely ignorant and extremely selfish.

  • Im not mocking anything, I know God gave us the ability to use science and I know that if it is not used for His purpose it is worthless in the end. I also know that you cannot credit science for ALL health, look at the fact that people lived 900 years in the beginning, Im sure they didn't have vaccines we do, so how is that possible without God? THINK about it.

Science has good and bad aspects to it, as with everything in life, only God is completely good.

  • Fist there is not one shred of corroborating evidence for people living that long anywhere in paleontology, archeology, or anywhere else for that matter. Life expectancy did not break the 40 year mark until 300bc, that was a blip and it did not improve at all until the 1800's. Second, if you are referring to the god of the bible as completely good, you are completely wrong. The god of the bible created, encouraged, and performed evil in the new and old testaments over and over again.

  • As an atheist I have no scapegoat for anything. The term scapegoat comes from ancient peoples who would put all their sins onto an actual goat and then turn it loose into the desert to die taking their sins away with it. Remind you of anyone? I don't blame anything on your god anymore then I blame things on Allah, Vishnu, Zeus or the Easter Bunny. I take responsibility for my actions without having to scapegoat any deities or demons.

  • Your proposed deity is supposedly omniscient and omnipotent. If I had knowledge of a disaster, say a hurricane, and had some way to stop or divert it, but did not would you see me as a good person or would you think my inaction was evil? I didn't cause the disaster. I didn't put anyone in its path. Why is the destruction or loss of life my fault? If I am held to the same standard as your god I hold no culpability for any of it. That is lazy. That is pathetic. That is selfish. That is evil.

  • NO you are the one who is pathetically lazy and selfish! You blindly assert a particular brand of Magic Man and use him to provide explanations for things you don't under stand! You blindly assert that God gave us the ability to do science! Ummm....Excuse me you have to first provide evidence your Magic Man even exists in the first place. Then after that you would have to provide evidence that your Magic Man gave humans the ability to do science! You are being LAZY!

  • Let me demonstrate your stupidity for all to see.

I'll give you ONE chance, to figure out for YOURSELF, why using a rock to crack a a nut CAN be considered to be culture. If you think it CANNOT be called culture just say so, one last time, to show your idiocy. THEN I'll answer, but I'm giving YOU the chance to apply your mind to your own question first, simply to show others that you CAN'T.

So, rocks to crack nuts, culture or not? State your thoughts, show your inability to think.
