  • I noticed the love lab change ugh, I'm only getting used to the English version

  • he did bad at the dazzles

  • I wish they could have included both languages in the english release.

    I suppose HEY!

  • As soon as I heard the english dub, I knew they had to be worse than the japanese ones. One quick yt search proved me right. :'(

  • yeah, i suppose.

  • What's the change in Love Lab? I've only ever played the US version.

  • i think frog hop is the only one sounding better in english... and karate man is kinda... even... but thats my opinion

  • great quality!

  • The frog sounds WAY better in the japanese version, in my opinion. :)

  • i always crack up whenever the lead singer of frop hop says "thank you veeeerrrryy ma-cha"

  • so cute

  • woa, how'd you record your ds and not have those flicker lines show up? its good quality!

    Nice vid!

  • Amazing how much audio they can fit into a game cartridge.

  • I have bought this game on the internet and I'll get it in 4 days!! Can't waaait!!!

  • the fan club song is stuck in my head...

    and i like it! >:(

  • OK maybe the Japanese version of the Love Lab thing is a bit better... I mean, they didn't even keep the colour scheme in the English version!

  • DIdn't know DS had such a nice sound.

  • Oh my gosh when u have a lot of big stars there is a person hanging on one.

  • i didnt know you flick it by sliding it down then flicking it up, i just tap down and flick it straight up

  • It's exactly the same -.-

  • Anyone notice that the Fan Club and the Dazzles singers sound "exactly" the same

  • "For You, yeah, that's right"

Doesn't it sound like she's sighing it

    Seriously though

It sounds like she want's to get her money and be done with it

  • Probably said before but they changed the Love Lab screen because the umbrella, "Ai Ai Kasa" (Whatever it is called), Isn't recognized as a symbol for love in the US or Europe I believe as it is in Japan.

Foreigners Reaction: Lol Wat why is that an umbrellahaha stupid game lololol.

  • I prefer Japanese...

  • this game is strange

  • What did they change in Love lab?

  • the pic of the umbrella is a symbol for love but only n japan

  • In Dazzles 2 its fast.

  • BAH it sounds so weird in english

  • The vocals kinda drown out the backing track on the English dubbing for Idol and Box Show games.

The Ribbit Dance is actually pretty good. I also noticed they kept the original "Thank you veRRRRRRRRRRRRRRy much-ah"

  • i can only speak English so...

    I prefer English ^

  • i got stuck on the monkey level for a while

    it was hard...i suppose

  • More than Yesterday?

    Weird lyrics.

    Butt whaatever.

    Still catchy.

    hahaa

  • u suck at the dazzlers i got perfect

  • that looked weird

  • I

    S

    U

    P

    P

    O

    S

    E

  • i like love lab...its really wierd tho...

  • In English don't like me I think that the Spanish version is more good

  • えッ・・・英語ッ!!!!

  • I see it a little short.

  • That's not the whole game.

  • there are tons of it inside but he's playing one of them ^^

  • Some songs are better in the japanese than in the English version.

  • I think Frog Hop is better in English than Japanese. One of the few out there.

  • i like the glee club lol there funny n cute

  • i no!!!!! i love it!! i got stuck on the ghost one...

  • I got this game for the ds

  • on the first game how do you know when to hit?

  • Because there are cues in the song. So when she sings a word or phrase three times in a row you have to clap four times and when she says "i suppose" you have to do the taap tap tap flick :)

  • there is a practise at the begining, he skipped it

  • 0:18- And now, I begin to cringe. I love how they implement some of the old characters from the original Rhythm Heaven, like the Night Walk guy hanging off of the stars in The Dazzles. I can imagine the singer for Frog Hop getting a little love from fans, considering that the voice has a novel quality to it, but personally, it's... eh. I pictured more of an Elvis type to sing it, not a Vinnie type. As for the Love Lab change, well, I wouldn't call it stupid, but yeah, not necessary.

  • i want rythm heaven real bad!

  • when to*

  • How do you know when do hit!!??!!

  • i know every song on Rythem Heaven... mostly all the songs are about love...

  • Yup that is weird heh.

  • Frog Hop is fun and easy... but thats my opinion.

  • i got llike 50 perfects on my file

  • I recently perfected all of my stages. :D

    It was pretty hard though.

  • i cant get pass frog hop!!

    >:(

  • japenese frog hop is the only one i dont like. Also does anyone know if the airboarding games are different.

  • frog hop looks hard

  • You know why they changed the Love Lab thing...

It was because they used the Japanese vertical style writing, and the English version wouldn't look right that way.

  • Rock on rhythm heaven so much songs

  • That's a good game!

  • seriously, I dont get this game!

  • you just tap hold and flick along with the rhythm in a series of minigames

  • Just like WarioWare, but with music. 8D

  • OMG THis game is so CUTEE I need to get it!!

  • what did SMarioFan500 say?

  • Action Replay DS

    use that.

  • Yeah it captured the sound so good.

  • LOL i dont get this game.

    but it looks cool.

    xD

  • howd u capture the sound so nicely? lol i love this song.

  • I think if you're talented you can rig it so that the sound wires directly into the computer as you're playing.

  • what is this song called

  • Comment removed

  • The songs are ( in order )

" Thrilling! Is this Love? "

" Love Ooh Ooh Paradise "

and " Young Love Rock 'n' Roll "

  • thrilling is love, i think?

  • whats the game?

  • look at the title

  • awsome song

  • i know that the result in ''the dazzles'' is try again... :(

  • if you people dont like the english one why do watch it for.

  • Oh what's the change in the Love Lab section? I've never played the Japanese version so I don'really know. Does somebody know?

  • there aren't too many diffrences in the japanese and European one..... the only change is the intro design

  • i like the young love rock 'n' roll one, so cute XD

  • hey now, here is my song... for you, yea that's right...

damn song is stuck in my head

  • me 2

    AND IT HURTS

  • yeah, me and my sis keep singing it!! XD

is it love that makes my heart go..

    boom boom boom??

    CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP

  • I like this game... It's awesome!

At the beginning I had Problems with the Fanclub Level, because I didn't check when she said "yeah yeah yeah" that you have to clap four times! ^^

  • how do you play this game , like how do u know where to press

  • you can press anywhere, the gameplay is to press and do a line

  • they say how to do it in practice mode, when she says yea, yea, yea you clap 4 times in the same rythm and when she says i suppose, you clap 4 time and then slide up :P

  • I actually like Fan Club and Idol. I first heard them when my friend was playing the game (I haven't played it myself yet) and they got stuck in my head really quickly. I need to listen to the Japanese versions to see where all the hate comes from, but to me they work well and are super catchy (although for some reason I was listening to ripped audio version of them and they sound muuuuuuuch better in game than directly listening to them *shrug*).

  • Wow, really nice quality video :D I'd only heard that the English dub was horrible, now I know it is..... I went and got the original Japanese game. And it probably is just being use to the songs that makes the dub less than enjoyable :] Would've been nice if they kept the original audio and just translated the menus and that. Also, I agree that the Love Lab change was a bit much, it looks too standard now. Thanks for the eye opener.

  • lol my sisters bought this game and its awesome it's all about the rhythm lol

  • then why go looking for videos of it...?

  • Ninja'd

  • Anyone who uses gay as an insult has no credibility.

  • I still don't know why they have to change the japanese songs....Just because they think japanese music is not popular?...Wait? Is there an option to change the language?...Oh probably not >_>. But why did they change the "Jaho!" in the frog song but let the old sound at the end? XD Some things just doesn't make sense...

    Thanky for the upload^^

  • they were gonna have the japanese songs for an option but there was not enough space

  • The filesize is 101MB. They could've put the 7 japanese vocal tracks on there and still had room. the music tracks stay the same, remember only vocals need to be included. so about 7 files of 1 person singing. They couldn't fot it? I think If they didnt want to put the money and effort into the singers, WHY THE HECK would they go pay royalties to the jap singers for being in their game, the game NOT marketed to the niche crowd that would like the voice option?

  • She sucks balls.

  • When she says "I suppose" it sounds like "i suck balls"

  • Oh NO!!! Now I'm going to have to buy the UK Version too! Since there are too many differences!!

    Love this game!

  • good thing i have the jap version

    U.S. version SUX

  • Oh, okay. I thought you meant the actual content of Love Lab was changed.

The title was probably changed because that symbol means nothing to an American. It's an umbrella with two names under it; in Japan, sharing an umbrella is a big romantic deal. Drawing two names under an umbrella is like carving two names into a heart on a tree in America.

Why they didn't do the tree carving thing, I don't know. It's an effective cultural translation.

  • Because that has nothing to do with vials and scientists and chemicals i guess. i'd be a good translation, but wouldn't match the game.

hehe thats the only game i replayed because I wasnt satisfied with the 'mediocre' ending

  • Two names under an umbrella doesn't usually have much to do with a laboratory either. That it was simlated to be drawn on a chalkboard, however, is. The English title could've had the cupid heart as a chalkboard drawing too, but I guess Nintendo didn't think of that.

  • Fan Club wasn't all that terrible! The cheesy lyrics goes well with the cutesy gameplay. The singing could have been more lively though. Still, it was cute.

The frogs were my favorite. It was SO much better than the Japanese version, and the lyrics had that 80's touch to them.

  • Saying it 'could have been more lively' is like saying 'September 11, 2001 could have gone a little smoother.' hehe how much is nintendo paying ya?

    Jus' Kiddin'

I guess we have 'teh hire standurdz' when it comes to dubs. I cant sing. So its easy for me to pick out others who cant either. takes 1 2 know 1.

Id say the song had a more 50's-early 60's sound to it. That classic cali beach rock

  • Nintendo rep: We already did a good job on the frog dub, but we still have to dub over those girl songs in the game.

Nintendo rep 2: Just get some random girl on the street.

    *Goes out onto streets*

Nintendo rep: Hey, random girl on the streets, we'll pay you 10 bucks to sing this song.

    Girl: *sings song really badly*

    Nintendo rep: Good enough.

    *Goes back to HQ*

Nintendo rep 2: This dub is awful, but the game comes out in two weeks so too bad.

  • You're absolutely right. The first dub was awful. The frogs were perfect though.

  • I have the japanese and the english version

  • is the nintendo dsi region locked? I wana get the american dsi but purchase the japanese version of this game

  • just play the jap version on a normal DS.

  • You can play any games! And if you can't just use Homebrew!

  • Nah, it's just DSiWare games that are region locked.

  • Jap vocals destroy it. This one has no feeling to it, none of the energy. The US version could have had good vocals, but people who can actually voice act/ sing great cost money. That last sentence is why localizations usually fail voice wise, they just dont have the budget to get talent. so they got someone from the office to do it.

  • But. I admit I like the frog dub. It did a good job making the voice the same but the language different. As for the IDOL [fan club] dub?

    KILL IT WIT FIYAH.

  • I SUPPOSE!

  • i speak spanish so i have a kinda neutral opinion... JAPANESE VERSION IS WAY BETTER, because lirycs have a lot of emotion and crazyness

  • omg...so bad

    =_=

  • Yeah... I can totally agree that the girl didn't really put all that much effort into her singing. I just ignore the song mostly since I focus on the cues really.

The Frog Hop was great though, it sort of makes up for the Aidoru dub's effortless singing.

Did they change something in Love Lab? I don't remember since I never paid attention to the game.

  • the dubs actually arent bad but is there an option to put it in japanese?

  • And how is it a chick game?

    What constitutes a chick game?

Why do you think it is inappropriate for any game to be played by any gender?

Please be as detailed as possible, God bless.

  • i dont understand how you play this game.

  • I bought this game today. very very fun. :D

  • the "yeah yeah yeah" doesn't have emotion..:(

  • The Japanese songs seem to have more spirit in singing than the English ones...

This particular singer sounds pretty bored with the music.

  • To right, this sounds boring.. Thank god I have the japanese version.

  • i want the japanese version.

  • Weird...

I downloaded this game to try it, but it had English lyrics, but the girl talks Japanese...

    I'm lucky the =3

  • It's not. Just because it's not Halo doesn't mean it's homosexual.

  • Trust me it's actually quite fucking addicting. You would really be surprised.

  • The author already totally owned you here, but I have to say, what makes it gay?

Why do you associate that with homosexuality? Because frankly the only thing that could make a game homosexual is if it contained explicit same-sex/same-gender sexual intimacy or erotica.

Unless you would like to substantiate your claim of it being 'gay,' shut up~

Also if you wish to continue to use 'gay' as a derogatory term, you can just remain shut up also.

  • Frog Hop makes me smile so much. Very energetic.

  • this game is BEAST MODE!!! I LOVE IT

  • the singer in the the frog one wasnt that bad

  • wow the jap version of fan club is alot better!!! im gettin this tomorow

  • Hmm... I'm guessing Rhythm Heaven doesn't have language options...

They really should put that in more games.

  • What change in Love Lab?

  • The girl singing sounded so dull. Good thing I grabbed the undub version.

  • The Frog Hop is actually pretty good.

But I prefer the signal to do the butt shaking in the jap one better.

The 'wahoo' sounds kinda plain xD

  • I think the voices aren't bad, they're better then some other games, but the girl didn't seem very into it, like it was the first take as she read the script, and also the Umbrella change made sense since nobody in the US would get it, Although replacing it with a heart and arrow would have made more sense.

  • It's not that it's terrible, it's that the singer just puts absolutely no emotion into the singing. She sounds like she's just reading off a script.

Thinking I might stick to the JP version after hearing this.

  • my ears. they bleed.

  • It's as two previous people have said. Mainly a Japanese thing. From my knowledge, it's called a love umbrella, and for a good reason. The only spot I can think of finding it in a English game is Brawl.

Also, I'll say this here, the English voices are bad, as in the selection of the voices. In fact, I'd say they were pretty spot on, However, it was the singing part that makes them suck so much. If only they put in a little more enthusiasm, then people wouldn't hate it so much.

  • Er... "English voices aren't bad"

    Freekin' typos

  • O GAWD THE GIRL CANT SING AT ALL

  • The female songs where downright awful, can't even hold a tone.

The frogs, however ROCK! I love the English frong song a lot more than the Japanese one.

  • oh and i like the japanese song versions better too

  • what do you mean your walmart "broke the street date"? Did they already put it out in stores or something?

  • It means they started selling it as soon as they got the game in stock rather then wait until the day Nintendo told them to start selling it, Street dates are when the company assumes every outlet will have it in stock in order to give all the retailers a fair chance, So to break it is to ignore such a reason.

  • lol, great definition...but that sucks (for me)! I'm living in France right now so I had to order if offline and have it shipped to my house in the US, where from it will then be shipped to me over here! So basically I'm gonna be waiting for a min :-/

  • the girl sings really awful, theres no passion, but the frogs are cool

  • OMG they are Monkeys dummy

  • I'm talking about the frog hop song dummy

  • & like wonchopmonkeyman said, they probably changed the Love Lab love umbrella because it's a Japanese-only thing & most Americans won't know what it's about.

  • it would sound better in a more tuneful voice

  • The english version of the frogs is AWESOME!

  • The Fan Club one sounds absolutely horrible in the English version. It's like they pulled in a random little girl from the street and made her sing these lyrics real fast. I'm so glad I've got the Japanese version.

  • And by street, I assume you mean Youtube, amirite? ;D

  • I guess the Love Lab thing was altered since the whole writing names under umbrellas thing is very much a Japanese thing (since English folk don't right their names vertically)

  • Whoa, wonchop?

And when did this video get 2,000+ views?!

  • Thank GOD for the undub.

  • Holy crap, this got on GoNintendo

  • Maybe there should be a Rhythm Heaven Version of Hare Hare Yukai.

I still remember that Sunny day

Magical games that we used to play.

    Full of happiness, and togetherness...

I forgot the rest of the English version.

  • Is it just me or do the voices sound really separate from the music? They also sound a lot louder than the music, although that might just be the recording. You can barely hear the red frog. The frogs are fine but the female singer is terrible. There's no emotion behind it and she's really flat. Perhaps I just need to get used to it.

  • uuugh fanclub.

other two were fine, kinda prefer the japanese audio cue on froghop, though.

  • it suppose to be (idol), right?

  • ..are.. are you stupid or something? it says

"Fan Club" right before it starts.

Unless you're talking about something else, not that i'd know, considering your grammar.

  • no, you must be misunderstanding, the Japanese title said (Idoru) means Idol.
