What I am trying to say is that lets get to the core of problem by conducting research and so forth. as a young African man, I believe that its a high time for our generation to taking responsibilities for our own actions, its true that our parents arent stepping up to the plate, but that doesn't mean that we should remain silence. For those who are ashamed to Somalis let me tell you that is not the solution if you dont like what you are seeing and hearing do something about it.
This phenomenon is not only affecting the Somali community but its also affecting other African communities such as the Sudanese community in Egypt. In my opinion to solve a problem as such you need to look at it from different angles, for example, what motivates these youngsters to commit such atrocities against their own, what kid of families do they actually come from, what condition are they living under to mention a few.

In my opinion to solve a problem as such you need to look at it from different angles, for example, what motivates these youngsters to commit such atrocities against their own, what kid of families do they actually come from, what condition are they living under to mention a few.

Actually, what Somalis need is Islam. Islam is against tribalism and murdering people. If Somalis were proper Muslims-they would be having no problems. They certainly wouldn't be killing each other if Islam was their priority in life.

we(somalis)believe that we are muslims and that we follow islam properly,while the truth is that we are only following the rules that appeals to us!if islam was followed in the right way we would never have these tribes that are fighting and killing each other for no reason!

I think that our problems is basically that we base everything on religion, religion is not everything, so we need to step away from religion and think rationally like everyone else, we need to become secular and resolve our problem in a logical manner and stop eating Khat, that is my answer.
