@yoichirotani Thanks so much for your message! Dinah was amazing, and with that voice could make any audience think she'd just thought it up! She's especially fine here, and this song has been adopted by every "cafe-society" singer in the world.
Dinah is one of my favorite singers, and my favorite singer of the 1950s. I'd go with Jill Corey, or Marie Laforet over her for looks, although Jill was an above average singer, not in Dinah's class.
I remember watching the Dinah Shore Show. She was such a gentle soul with great talent. Her interviewing skills were some of the best. Very few can compare to her. The closest I have found lately is Bonnie Hunt.
I enjoyed her show too. There was something really calming about her persona. She could put anyone at ease. Here's a scary thought: I remember when her 1st TV show was only 15 minutes long! "See the USA in Your Chevrolet!"

Dinah Shore (born Frances Rose Shore) was born on this date in 1916. {Feb 29th}
Sadly, Ms. Shore passed away on February 24th, 1994... May she R.I.P.
