I replaced my bottom lcd screen on my DSlite, and it worked fine, however the screen was noticeably dimmer than the top screen. I think this is due to it being a third party manufactured lcd.

Do you know what manufacturer and model number the original NDSL screen has? I want to replace it with a good one that is the same brightness.

Why didn't you mention the part where you have to use and exacto knife to peel away the touch screen from the LCD screen? Pretty vital that you be careful during that step as not to tear the adhesive rubber. Tsk tsk...

hello my DS lite has fell in water and now its not working but when i put my charger in it the lights light up for a second but then turn off. i charged it for over a week and its still now working. what should i do? should i get a new battery?

Water damage is usually not repairable. Could try a new fuse but it's probably not worth messing with.

that happened to mine some parts were still worth a bit so i sent it to nintendo to sel the parts and then i got a new one,with my new one my cat scrached the screen sevral times so i have to almost stab it to get it to tap there now,anyway thanks for the help,console zombie!

there to fuse that alway get damage f1 and f2 those are the 2 that you need to fix and thats it but it is not easy you need an expert on soldering so you can make a bridhe on each fuses

check the ribbons, perhaps you simply didn't reconnect everything properly.

Then you're either using the wrong screwdriver or not pressing down hard enough.

Nah, this video helped me loads. I fixed my DS touch screen solo with the help of this video for like £13, it would have cost me about £35 to get it fixed professionally. Extremely usefull video. Only complaint is that it doesn't tell you how to get the Touch Screen off the LCD. Now I know you just pull it hard and it peels off, but it was worrying to do it without actually being shown to do so. Felt like I was gona break the LCD lol

just take it to the nintendo shop they will repair it for you as long as you can pay but if you try to do it your self you might break it and get a new one which cost $130

You have to get a tri-wing screw driver. You can find them online, but from what I understand it is illegal to sell them in a brick n mortar store.
