The University of VA released a 3 yr study of PWC's immigration enforcement ordinance. Over 2 yrs the following was found to have occurred due to the ordinance:
- Illegal population down 2K - 6K
- Hit & Run accidents down by nearly half
- Aggravated assaults dropped by ~47%
- Reduced serious overcrowded housing in certain portions of the county
- Found no evidence of overzealous or inappropriate immigration
No right was taken away. The officers still let them observe the scene... "no it's not that he was there. I don't want you standing behind me it's an officer safety issue. I don't know what's in your bag" that would explain why he didn't want him standing behind him. There was reason.
Evidently, the ass who posted this video is ignorant of the law. Since Phoenix is within Maricopa country, deputies have jurisdiction over the city as well as the county.

The state I live in has no notice traffic stops where you have to show your drivers license, they look at your inspection sticker and your license plate. They have done it for the 56 years that I've been alive and I hope they continue. The police have rights too. If there wasn't a crowd congregated the sheriffs department would not need such a strong presence.

Where are the other 9 deputies? I see one Deputy Sheriff and 1 Posseman making a traffic stop. As far as I am concerned everybody in this video is in the wrong. The Pheonix cops are in the wrong just on past history. As Herr Arpaio's personal SS squad you would have a hard time telling me this was a legal stop. But on the other hand the onlooker's do also need to wait until it's all sorted out before taking any kind of action, legal or protestational.

It is a shame that the Sherrif can not make a routine traffic stop because of the race of the driver that commits the offense.
A simple stop with reasonable backup turned into the department using resources that were unnecessary due to the fact some people thought it would be cool to make a scene. I love "legal" immigration, don't get me wrong. That is what made this country so great with mixed cultures. If I break the law I pay the penalty. End of story

The state I live in has no notice traffic stops where you have to show your drivers license, they look at your inspection sticker and your license plate. They have done it for the 56 years that I've been alive and I hope they continue. The police have rights too. If there wasn't a crowd congregated the sheriffs department would not need such a strong presence.

I notice they had to put vehicles in the way to stop them from filming. What about freedom of the press? If they're following the law, why do they have to try and cover what they're doing. All those vehicles for ONE traffic stop is costing them tons of money and I hope they follow every deputy to every traffic stop. That will make them stop wasting money.

It's a waste of time and money to go after them like this. You want to stop a lot of illegal immigration? Start putting those who hire them in jail for five years per illegal alien they hire. Make the terms run consecutively and not concurrently. Then you will see the rich factory owners and company owners go to jail. Then you will see illegal immigration plummet.

Where are the other 9 deputies? I see one Deputy Sheriff and 1 Posseman making a traffic stop. Then after you start screaming for them not to answer any questions and then rallying an impromptu demonstration more deputies show up. Near as I can see the Deputies were professional and courteous at all times. WAY TO FAIL!

The reason there were so many officers there is becuz of the protesters. I'm sure it wouldn't have taken as long as it did if you would just let them do their jobs. You have to realize they have families too and the threat of protesters possible attacking them is always on their minds. Not every officer out there is out to get illegals, but regardless they still have to do their job. If the people getting pulled over are here legally then they know their rights and don't need you making a scene

But most people dont know that most jobs that mexicans have here in America is farm work. They crop most of our foods for us.
