  • nimzovich was the most gangsta player of this generation !

  • Your research and contribution to Alexander Alekhine is wonderful Jessica.

  • Nice music, whats the name of it?

  • He is probably the most interesting character of Grandmaster history.

  • alekhine number one, forever.

  • wow quite a collection jessica.

  • @voodoo9606 What a great story- thanks for posting it.

  • Alkhine was a true chess warrior .You can see it looking over his games and you can also see it in his eyes. He was Russias own Bobby Fischer.

  • 2:46 Capablanca's such a fuckin' stud.

  • The music and the prezentation are extraordinary.Brawo,Jessica!!!

  • In the past our teachers were always the grandmasters and worldchampions, nowadays our teachers are the computers. They play , solve and compose . So have a look at youtube.com :

  • this is almost hypnotic Jessica :) beautiful work !!!

  • Jessica, i loved this presentation; AA is has been my favorite chess player since i was 12 years old. Thanks for this video

  • This is a labour of love. The images and music are beautifully chosen to complement each other and to suggest the bitter sweet quality of AA's life.

I recognise quite a few of the pieces, though not some of the arias in the later responses. It would be great if you told us what they were.

As an admirer of Alekhine's chess playing skill I really appreciate what you have done. More?

  • I normally find it hard to listen to Classical but the way you use it makes it sound amazing.

  • Fantastic. Thank You!!!!!

  • This is excellent Jessica! Alekhine has always been my favorite player and I feel that his best biography has yet to be written.

    Great photos and thanks!

  • One of the best videos about chess around!

  • Great Video ! Thx a lot for your work!!

  • Well Jess !

This podcast is already available today on blogger WORLD PASSENGER 2.0 - under label MONSIEURDELUXEMBOURG PICTURES 2.0

Great imagery work and good use of the ''Ave Maria'' classical soundtrack !!!

    Greetings GEO 66

  • The second piece of music here is the AWESOME Rachmaninoff played by the AWESOME David Helfgard

  • @jessicafischerqueen David Helfgott, who is a great man but a pathetic pianist. Go read any recent reviews of his performances, or try comparing them to others on youtube. Obvious difference. :)

  • @jessicafischerqueen Hi, do you mean David Helfgott???

  • @Malaka57 Yes that's who I mean.

  • @jessicafischerqueen Thanks for the Alekhine show, by the way, ...

Simply copy and paste to pgn viewer.

  • This was the game referred to at 5:49.

Anyone can contact me if they have problems uploading a game to a pgn viewer. It takes all of 3 or 4 clicks.

  • Amazing I didn't even notice that in the news report at the bottom of the image. Florence was also blindfolded!!

Very sharp eyes and generous too mr. grasser thanks.

And yes folks if you don't have a chess engine you can just download an interface for free such as Baba Chess and paste the PGN right in and play through the moves.

  • Thank you very much!

  • Encore!!! Alekhine probably loved chess more than any player that ever lived...he had a cat named chess! Don't forget to put the picture with him and his cat.

  • lol I know - he had twin cats that played chess with each other as well.

There will be two more chapters to come on AA Alekhine- this guy had a rough life as you know- being a chess master through two World Wars isn't a good recipe for fortune and happiness

  • @jessicafischerqueen This is a lot of work Jessica. You are awesome! Thank you!
