  • @nutnfancy can you do a review of the helle viking i kinda want to see what you make of it

  • Comment removed

  • Quality review and nice knife! Subscribed!

  • Nice cutter.

  • love this knife.

  • What do you think of the benchmade "glory" knife? i know its pretty spendy...but i really want you opinions on this beautiful blade

  • I have one and its part of my EDC paid $129.00, good review

  • Man, that is a well thought out blade. I love the light weight, the sheath, the grip, and the aggressive (= hand-protective) choil design.

If one's mode of dress, situation and local legalities are consistent with carrying a 3.5" fixed blade with a "tactical" aspect, then this seems like a great way to go.

  • Im going to edc this bitch

  • i love the look of most benchmade knives , i only don't like their price ... every time i see one and wanna buy one , i'm turned of by the price ....

  • Great review!

Does the sheath lock the blade good enough for vertical upsidedown carry without the strap?

  • I'm going to buy this blade, because it's small, easy to carry, and the blade seems good.

But i still may need a good combat blade, time will tell.

  • hay i was wondering what do you think of the Benchmade 9050 AFO.

  • hay i was wondering what do you think of the Benchmade 9050 AFO

  • can i buy it off of u and if not how much do they cost

  • Hey Nutn, I love your videos and I had a question, what do you mount your camera on to film your reviews?

  • I am looking for a fixed blade for my up coming backpacking trip. I have been searching for this type of knives for awhile. Thanks to you vid, this baby is on order. Can't wait to put them to use in the field. Thanks for such a great review like always!

  • i just ordered it online!!!! :)

  • @awsomeo09 youll love it!!!!!!!

  • Got myself one of these and I take it along when weight is an issue but I want the fixed blade in addition to my folding EDC. I do wonder about the sheath long term as the area at the top of the belt loop looks thin, no problems yet so maybe it will be fine. Be a left hander I like the fact that the sheath allows the blade to be inserted either way. Overall I think this knife is a a good thing if you understand it's limits. Good review, enjoyed it :)

  • i love this playlist.

wen i was in the Israeli military i killed 12 terrorist with 1 of the knives you recommended. 1 guy i even snuck up behind him and killed him in 1 second

  • i cant find a good plastic or kydex sheath for the gi tanto.....

  • The first knife review I ever saw was one of nutn's, I cant watch the other knife review guys now no matter how many times I try, nutn you are the man !!!!

  • so boring

  • would you recommend this knife over a small ka bar?

  • Benchmade knives are the bomb

  • Greetings Capt. Nutnfancy

Just ordered this little bitch today and can't wait to get it. Hell, I even payed an extra $16 for express shipping....

  • nice blade dude. i got a collection of them. i got a 14 inch s&w spec ops knife you can see it in my knife videos if you view my account

  • very sleek

  • I was wondering if you would do review of knives made by custom makers

  • As usual a well done review. I also have large hands and its always been a mystery to me that makers of knives (like makers of screwdrivers) design their handles small along with the blade. Just because we desire a shorter blade or a smaller screw driver tip does no mean we want a shorter grip. Buy a small philips head screw driver and the handle becomes proportionally smaller. Buy a shorter utility blade and the handle becomes ridiculously short. I don't get it.

  • How do you guys think the benchmade Nim Cub II compare to the RAT RC3?

  • @EliYBY i dont think so to much i have the gerber profile and i dont think they look alike

  • people, please, be mature, asking questions is what these videos are for. im in the military, to answer a question or two, knife availibility and or cary is bound by law depending on where u actually live. i live in california and the laws here are a little bit more strict, however certain states dont specifically state clearly the knife carrying standards. google it, ive had to haha. most companies like cold steel have certain knife laws they have to abide by for shipping reasons. call em up

  • nice review. well put, good info. maybe a cold steel, rajah 1 review in the future?

  • how much is this knife?

  • $115 CDN. prolly 95ish in US

  • @TheArmouredSoldier uuhh....USD is worth less than CND. you can find em for around 90-145 USD. order it from Benchmade, which I did, 135 USD.

  • Basically what he's saying is it was designed with soldiers and overseas contract workers (Blackwater and such companies maybe?) in mind. If they had the everyday buyer/collector in mind the knife might have been designed a bit different maybe with cheaper materials. He says what he means and he means what he says. Stop bein a turd and listen to what he says don't just hear him.

  • ok i'll watch the video over if it pleases everyone....and i wont make pointless comments ever again :)

  • That is an awesome knife.

So as a U.S. citizen i have no right to use a knife like this? You keep saying soliders and others over seas

  • that's definitely not his point if you watch his other vids. This is just under his deployment knives list so he's aiming the vid to that end.

  • @solidsnakemanful dumbass, he's talking to his soldiers for usin this knife for utility- he's in the millitary

  • Damn do you gotta reply with a rude comment....Like i was really suppose to know that. It was my first time looking at this video...thank you very much.

  • he mentions civilians several times in this video.

  • @solidsnakemanful when talking about the sheath being molle compatable, he refers to civilians being able to carry it on the belt ok.

  • @mlacey56 gotcha! i looked through the whole vid already...i do apologize for again making pointless comments without veiwing the whole vid. Srry to you and all of you combat knife fans out there :D

I look forward to purchasing this knife just b/cuz

  • 120.99 I saw you tried to cover it up. dont know why though, if i payed that for a knife i woldnt care who knew.

  • Like my Buck Vanguard... I like this knife but the sheath sucks. I have no idea what you consider fast when it comes to the Malice Clip but I find it to be slow as crap to disengage it. You have to lift the tab with a tool or fingernail. How do you accomplish that when it is attached to a strap. The retention strap is nice but I would have liked a plain Kydex sheath similar to the Spyderco Moran series with a Tek Lok fastener.

  • Could you do a review of a benchmade 155bk fixed presidio?

  • Hey man I love you reviews, can you try to review the Benchmade 9052 Tanto???

  • it kinda sounded like he said bitch made at 2:55

    lol

  • im looking for a small blade with a horizontal handle the only way to hold it is to make a fist and have the blade coming out from in between your 2nd and 3rd knuckle. ihope that describes it well enough for you guys to understand what im talking about lol

  • A push dagger? Cold Steel, United Cutlery, and some others make them. I think Benchmade has one. I've never used one, but I can't really think of a use for them other than collecting or self-defense. If that's all you need one for, then that's fine, but if you want to do other things with it, I would recommend a more conventional knife.

  • A noob question? Can a civilian get CQB training?

  • Military training? No

Martial arts training with knives? Yes.

  • How much is it?

  • Looked to say 120.99 on the box when he was checking the model.

  • i got mine for $100 shipped on ebay, and its first production also

  • Hey thanks for the demo. One question. Can you wear the sheath on left and right side of your hip? I'm left handed and I like my knives to be on the left side of my hip.

  • I agree

  • ya dude, just sneak up behind em and cut their head off. its a great knife for killing people, at least in my experience

  • What experience?

  • it was a joke dude

  • awesome blade

  • beautefull knive love it ...

  • In what way? It's a great feature.

  • I think he was talking about the sigh.

  • Comment removed

  • Hi

would u recomend the fixed grip for a fixed utility blade. Nice review as always. Im subscribing!

  • I just got my Nim Cub II today! Very well represented in Nutnfancy's review. Outstanding knife. About the same size the larger Benchmade folders.

    I received a First Production 391 / 500!

  • where did you get the knife from?

  • I'm liking this knife! Size and weight looks good for stashing in your EDC bag. MSRP is a bit high at $135 but I like the light weight and size. I'm totally putting this on my list!

Back to the price for a sec, for benchmade quaility it's probably an okay price!

  • Very interesting design.

    Good value.

Do you find 154cm hard to sharpen, I have had to recondition a few leatherman's with a 154 blade & it was very time consuming to sharpen, any thoughts?

    Thanks again Nutn

  • beautifull *****

  • It looks like a folder to me.

  • Great knife, looks like the one special ops us.

great knife. keep the reviews coming. thanks.

  • well mr.fancy i just bought this knife and i hope its as cool as u say it is.

  • god i love benchmades!

  • Great review as usual.

This is in Benchmade's Black Class (you said blue in your notes). Thanks for the constant work and great, entertaining reviews nutn.

  • lol whats a civilian sheepdog?

  • What herds sheep.(people)

  • It is basically a citizen that is defensively ready to protect himself and his family. Almost like an angel ready for defense, but never acts in offense. Always obey the law.

  • A civilian sheepdog is a common person (not a cop or military) willing (and hopefully able!) to stand up and help preserve law and order in circumstances when law and order breaks down.

Could have used more of them in Katrina, but then the NOPD was busy disarming them so they couldn't help. There are other instances than Katrina; it's just one. Sometimes regular folks have to step up to the plate. Which is why the 2A says "militia".

He covers this in one of his other reviews.

  • @immikeurnot a civilian sheepdog is a person who places themselves in unnecessary danger and gets in the way of professional emergency services and law enforcement thinking they are of some use despite their lack of training or understanding of the law. anyone who attempts to enforce rules and regulations over other citizens despite an absolute lack of official or authorised authority is a threat to the democratic process and the freedom and safety of others and probably themselves too.

  • What do you think about the BM FixedGriptilian as an option to the NimCub II? You have few comments talking about how pricey this knife is, Well I believe that for other users than the military ones, the FixedGriptilian will be a good quality option

Its a little bit cheaper, the blade has 0.66" more reach, the handle is glass reinforced nylon with a kind of rubber insert scales, it come with a MOLLE compatible; low profile ballistic Nylon; molded Kydex insert sheath and it only has 1.75 oz more

  • NIce knife, great review!

  • wow.... i love that knife....all i have to say

  • sweet knife

    5/5

  • Great review! All the pertainent information for those interested in a small, fixed blade to consider a Cub II purchase... or not.

    V/r

  • great vid. I appreciate the sub 10 min. reviews. I just can't bring myself to sit through vids longer than that. I like your taste in blades ;)

  • if is not to much to ask could you make a vid of you going out to the mountains like your winter fire making vid.

  • At this price point should the handles not be G-10? Handles are made of Valox as well as the handles on the Mini Griptillian. I am told by Benchmade Valox is use as a means to keep the price down.

  • most excellent

  • I like the long reviews when the subject requires it. Keep up the great work :)

  • Nice review. Hopefully the future reviews will go back to the 8-10 min mark. The 20 min ones were a little too long imo. Keep em short and to the point like this one was.

  • how would this be for SAR?

  • 120 bucks!!! fuck that...

  • You can easily find one for under 100$.

  • Supposedly the handle is made of "Highly compressed epoxy and woven glass composite handle"... whatever that is. Still looks pretty functional. I'm buying.

  • Handle is Valox. Used to keep the price down. At least that is what I am told by Benchmade. The Mini Griptillians also so have Valox handles.

  • Will that coating interfere with fine cutting tasks? ie. slicing foods

  • IS THAT 5.5 oz OVER ALL? INCLUDEING THE SHEATH? IF SO THATS PRETTY COOL.

  • I was looking at this one in the Benchmade catalog thinking "Wow, nutnfancy would LOVE this blade!". I'm not sure why I didn't suggest it to him......

  • Wow, looks like a very funtional knife!!!

  • hey i was just wondering if you reviewed the Gerber Tanto Torch II, and if so, how did you score it?

    thank you

  • really nice looking knife, if looks could kill

  • awesome knife review. i come back with a new knife every time I go to the local gun show. Your reviews really help me make a good decision!

  • where did you get this

  • that knife is awesome!!

  • busse knifes reviews ? please

  • ok, sure

    there great, they deliver

there expensive there a hunk of metal

and really high in the 2nd kind of cool

  • Spelling is also cool in the 2nd kind of cool way...

"They're" is what you meant. I'll let the grammer slide as god knows I don't use 100% perfect grammer myself.

    Sorry for trolling....

Good review, Nutn'! Always love the knife videos. Maybe you'll get around to the SOG Trident one of these days..?

  • most excellent and far out video nutn!

  • Do you own all the products you review!?

  • he's stated many times before that he does NOT own ALL the products he owns. but he has a nice collection for sure!

  • He does own most of the stuff, sometimes it's on loan form a friend and sometimes he reviews the gear at a shop. If he doesn't own it he usually mentions it.

  • wo..... 120 dollars a nice kabar can do almost most of its tasks... and only 50 dollars to 70.... well and add on some weight

  • That is the coolest looking knife!

I'd buy it if it weren't for the price.

  • i really like this knife, ever since i saw it in the 2009 catalog I have wanted this.

  • ☻/

    /▌

    / \

  • yeah numbers are good 354/500

...if one were to buy 500 that would be cool

  • Does anyone think that this knife would be decent for food preparation while camping?

  • it could be, but that last finger choil guard that sticks down would make it a bit more difficult, but I could see how it could be used that way.

  • I could easily see it being used that way, but a 120 dollar food prep knife, I think I would have some other uses planned to lol...

  • No doubt.

  • I want this now. Too bad i'm Canadian right?

  • Another Great review Nutn! I guess I may have to order another knife!

  • very nice knife, I would love to own one, however I don't know if that price tag of 120 is worth it.

  • That old sheath it has was fresh. It was carbon fiber kevlar or something.

  • hey well i am studying for the police test. i got all the things i need for my safety (including knives) but well i need some gun tips like where can i get and at like what age?

  • I'd try checking some Clint Smith videos.

  • I have this knife as well as one of its big brothers and love it. I also have several Benchmade products all are excellent and have a great history.

  • Anyone know an easy way to attatch these to a flecktarn LBV?

  • Hey nutnfancy, can you review a Gerber LMF?,

  • i think he might have already, sorry if im wrong.

  • (FarSh0t) FYI... He's already refused to review the Gerber LMF due to the short blade length.

  • Cool knve. I might have to think about gettin gone. Thanks for the review.

  • Good looking blade

  • nutnfancy, does many reviews on cold steel, sog and crkt, etc... this is just one of those many reviews

i like the grind on this knife, has alot of belly for cutting/slashing

  • great review- you will never go wrong with a benchmade

  • WOW! Perfect timing. Just saw the Nim Cub @ Benchmade website 2day. I was very curious. Wanted a small light weight fixed blade for camping/ hiking/ backpacing. For utility purposes. With this just in time review I will be making a purchase ASAP. Where else can you go but to TNP. Great source of info.

  • why don't you look elsewhere ... like coldsteel or SOG or gerber or CRKT... and save some dollars instead of giving ur money to overpriced and greedy benchmade...

  • that knife looks mean as hell

  • wish it was a bowie... that would be meeeeaaaner... !!!

  • This knife reminds me ALOT of the fixed griptilian. VERY similar.

  • .. pretty cool I guess. I'm more interested overall in folders. I have been looking at the Benchmade Ally. It's a colab with HK. It's pretty cheap, cool looking imo, and light. It's not super heavy duty, but I think smaller lighter knives are going to be used 99 percent of the time anyway so you may as well get one with a lot of coolness as well as functionality.

  • whats a civilian sheepdog?

  • A Civilian sheepdog is a person who conceal carries everyday, and is trained and ready to help others defend themselves against any badguys who pop up.

  • can it be mounted horizontally on the belt?

  • Yes It can be The Molle sheath can be taken a part.

The upper part of the sheath which attaches to the load out gear disconnects from the lower part of the sheath. The lower part of the sheath has 2 loops which can be use the attached to a thin belt. The 2 loops on the lower part of the sheath is how the upper part of the sheath is connected. Slide the tabs of the upper part of the sheat into the loops it secures its self.

  • ya looks like a winner

  • i think thats the next knife im going to buy really like that shealth benchmade makes a good quality blade!!!!

  • That is a awesome knife I really like the look of it......... Im going to put that on my to buy list.........Thx

  • i cant seem to find your "Level 2" first aide kit. i watched your "Level 1" and your two first-aide stories, and cant seem to find the second, bigger kit.

  • Not out there yet.

  • I hate that malice clip that Benchmade uses, though. It's just not stiff enough for a tight MOLLE attachment.

  • TBH, I think the companies are starting to tune in on Nutnfancy.

  • Great knife for fighting primarily because of the handle (great indent for the thumb), but I wish they would produce a version with a dagger grind. Nice capability as a utility knife, too, though. Thanks for sharing.

  • what could you do to blades to this to keep it from rusting. talking about is their oils or something

  • Oils is the best way to go about it. You can pick up 3 in 1 lube from walmart for about $2.50 and it works amazig. I Carry a SOG Flash 2 as my EDC and i oil it about every 2 weeks. Also u need very little oil. A little goes a long way.

  • kwl knife

  • and nice try covering the price...

  • Is the strap replaceable? It looked like it had a snap on the back so you can change out the strap if you do cut it.

  • Good stuff Nutnfancy

  • I CANT BELIEVE YOU GOT ONE OF THOSE SO EARLY!!! i want one soo bad, just saw it in the new BM catalog.

  • That is one nice looking knife and only 5 ½ oz; two kinds of cool.

  • very cool knife i like the design

  • Holy cow.
