lol can someone help me!! there is a talent show at our school, and i want to do a skit or something anime based...i will cosplay...but c heres the thing..MOST PEOPLE AT MY SCHOOL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANIME IS!!! so basically im just looking for ideas that arent really anime based, yet i can cosplay them....pls help..
(This is Kairi now) I'm really sorry about all this anger here. I'm certain if we could speak with each other face to face, we would better understand and respect each other. Please don't think badly of me &my teammates, we R just sensitive teens. That shouldn't be an excuse for anything but u catch my drift? I hate arguments on youtube and I don't want to be involved in one. I respect your opinion, not everyone has to adore my skits, i get that. Thanks for your patience please, don't be angry.
Alright, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to insult your critiques. They are helpful and we will definitely use them to help make our next skit. Hopefully it will be as good. =) I will notify you when we have it up so you can watch. Seeya!
Allright, I'll throw that idea out there next time we do a romance skit. Your an awesome critic, this is helping a lot. Out of curiosity, last year at connecticon we did a xxxholic skit to the song ramalama bang bang. Did you see that, if so, did you like that one better or worse than this?
I think I'd need to re-watch that and then this one again. I do recall the staging on that one. In some way I could sort of tell it was the same group in both; you do good work.
A also agree with Melock16, we don't look like cheerleaders. That's just insulting and meant to make a person feel bad about themselves. It isn't a critique, it's rude...
Excuse me. I was in this skit and I am NOT a cheerleader. If you have any constructive critiques for our skit please tell us so we can do a better job next year, but please keep snide comments like that to yourself, they're hurtful.
I don't have to excuse you. You did well, the dance routine looked cheerleader-like and I didn't even get around to mentioning LoneKagome's filiming of it, which was awful. All of this is truthful and not even faintly snide. And to day your dance routine was cheerleader-like is not, perhaps what you wanted to hear but the truth as I see it.
Allright I apolgize. I suppose I jumped the gun there, I don't want an argument, I just wish you would have said more of what you felt then just "Cheerleaders?" It's just me and my group spent so long and worked so hard on our skit your comment made me kindof sad. Thank you for taking the time to make your opinion more clear and I'll hope to impress you more next year!
I don't think you have to apologize, either for misunderstanding what I was saying to LoneKagome who knew perfectly well what I was on about. I'm not really sure if I am seeing "cheerleader" or "gymnist" routines in your choreography, but something put me in mind of it. A little bit too much build-up to the stunt, if you would, and less dance. Otherwise, it was awesome. Kudos. Don't apologize and don't excuse yourself.
Mewp. :x She didn't mean any harm, or to be hurtful. That's my mother. She thinks the skit was awesome too-She just thought the beginning approach was reminiscent of the way cheerleaders lead up to a stunt-I think. Still, great job. =D

That's the problem in a nutshell. There is no dance-eque. Either do it as a charming gymnastic routine with flourishes or dance it. Some dances have movements in them that a gymnast could do but the point is completely different. If you had taken all of the assorted flourishes you had and done it as a tango routine, that would have been dead-perfect. Tango is difficult to learn, but judging by what I saw you have the skill. Make the entire story into a tango and you've got it.
heh ok the third person in this skit is commenting here( I did the tango as Riku)im not sure how exactly there is anything cheerleader in it, but there are many great dances that have gymnastics in them and with the tango-like moves we were trying to show the difference in relationship between Kairi and Sora and Kairi and Riku. Becuase first with Sora she is more playful and child-like and then when shes with Riku its more sexy and intense cuz thats who Riku is. It just shows their personalities
I agree with the concept and I get the difference in dance moves as appropriate. It's just that thing in there that is noticible in ice skating routines...A little too much kind of just moving for the sake of moving while setting up for the next stunt. While you guys sure do need to space things a bit and catch your breaths you also need to have it less apparent that you are going to do a stunt at all. The tango in "Reefer Madness" (2004) makes my point neatly.
hello! I am the other person in the skit. My friend was using my youtube username to comment cause she doesnt have her own. Anyway, this is the Sora now. I somewhat agree that "stunts" don't always work but in this case, i think it worked quite well! To me, it looked as though Kairi was doing a dip and then instead flipped over and asked for Riku's hand for assistance. That way, Riku gets to do the whole hand out thing that he is so well known for. Also, the audience seems to like them.
Omfg that was awesome but really keep the fucking camera still
