  • thanks you really helped me. :D

  • Thanks!

  • I've wanted to do Minecraft videos, and I use CamStudio. My cpu is pretty bad, but I don't lag at all when recording the only thing is that I never can find the file... I check every single folder and never can find the file could anyone help me?

  • thanks now i can start on my videos

  • when i play minecraft on the video the graphics are garbage but when i play it recording or not the graphics are fine wat do i do PLZ RESPOND

  • thumbs up if u hear a pig at 0:36 :)

  • i dont have stereo mix?

  • Where does it save to if you set it to "Record to AVI"? Whenever I do that, it just opens in Windows Media Player, but I don't think it saves. But it does save when I make it "Record to SWF".

  • @MacheteGaming12 I use a desktop computer.

  • PLZ READ:

If you use Camstudio at all, my channel would be perfect for you! I upload Camstudio Test/Settings videos and sometimes a tutorial. In my Camstudio Test videos, I show you the settings I use in that video. So you can see the settings in that video + how they perform at the same time! I upload at LEAST 1 video a month with different settings each time. If you like my videos, please subscribe to stay updated on which settings you can try out or possibly use as your regular settings!

  • Can you have commentary and audio?

  • Yeah my minecraft lags still, and the quality is crappy :(

  • correct me if im wrong, but as far as i know, youtube always lowers fps to 30, so there is no point in recording 50 fps.

  • can you record 2 area of volume input: eg: Mic and game audio?

  • i like this !:)

  • THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! I literally spent all day yesterday trying to find a decent free recorder, was about to uninstall camstudio until I saw this...

  • lol when i was done watching this video i pressed "E" xD

  • its super lagy for me

  • So can you record voice with this? It says it will pick up my mic. Also how can you know the dementions of a windowed screen? I'm also assuming I need another program to edit the footage?

  • would lowering the quality a little bit help fix the lag?

  • does it recoder voice?

  • @applc014 Not with the stereo mix... but you could also use a program such as audacity to record your voice if you wanted to do so :) the syncronising? someone else could tell you. :D

  • @Dragury oh its ok cause now i use quicktime player (mac)

  • i cant change any of the things like set key frames , capture frames , anor playback rate they are gray and i cant select them help!!

  • Got it but I try saving it but it's not letting me save it anything!! Help, it's AVI?

  • Use fraps, its the best for games...

  • @ChipmunkYourSongs It is, but Camstudio is freeware.

  • @bitcompte bandicam is like fraps and you can record up to 10 minutes but idk how good this is

  • @bitcompte Even better, it's open source!

  • @ChipmunkYourSongs wegame win fraps

  • @ChipmunkYourSongs if i use fraps it lags so much.

  • @ChipmunkYourSongs no, the best for games is wegame

  • I shall try that out as soon as I get home, thanks :)

  • Thanks for helping friend! I hope we will play some minecraft today ;)

  • I am Having trouble downloading the lossess codec 1.4 can somebody please check out my video so they can tell me what i did wrong!

  • Thank you so much I,m French :) !

  • I can´t change the Video options :(

  • @MSMinecart When you're at the video options screen, down towards the bottom there should be a box that says "Auto Adjust". Is that un-checked?

  • Very convenient, I'm trying the make minecraft videos with Camstudio, but am getting very laggy/skippy gameplay, but only when recording while playing minecraft. Playing by itself works fine.

Here's my problem: I play on Full screen, Use Camstudio 2.6, and have the exact same settings as you, except I can't choose/find the "Camstudio Lossless Codec". I have it set to the default, "Microsoft Video 1"

Would using the Codec instead fix the lag? If so, how do I get it?

  • @AmbassadorArt2 Playing on a smaller window might fix the lag.

  • it lags for me D:

  • guys make sure to download camstudio 2.0 not the beta because the video files dont save thumbs up so everyone can see

  • @masterlegogamer Videos save on the beta, it's just that saving with automatic names make them go to weird places, and you have to mess around with the folder views. It changes for different computers, like windows XP, 7, vista, etc.

If you set "Ask for file name" you can choose the name and where to save it. Then you can put it somewhere where you'll remember it.

  • Thank a lot XD XD XD

You dont know how lucky i am

  • how do u measure wat size yer minecraft screen is

  • Thanks and i like the video :D

  • Where do the videos save to?

  • @Sh4dowSlayer See if you can spot a "Compatibility Files" button on the view/organize. I use windows 7 and don't have that, so look for yourself.

What may help is in Camstudio: Options > Program Options > Name of AVI File, and select "Ask for File name" Make sure you're recording to AVI. When you're done recording, you can type a name and choose where to save it, kind of like saving something on Word.

    Hope that helps!

  • I love man thanx

  • I don't have Stereo Mix, help!!

  • @MinecraftVideoMaker You have to enable it from the computer settings. Search for a tutorial for that.

  • PLEASE REPLY TO THIS!! DOES THE AUDIO PART MATTER??

  • @MinecraftVideoMaker Stereo mix allows for both game sounds, and for a microphone both being recorded through Camstudio.

  • I hope it works.

  • Hey man thanks alot for this vid

  • please help me. When i ever I record. When I try to go to a new world. the "generating world" doesnt come up. and It like freezes with the audio still goes on. PLEASE HELP!

  • @bitcompte Thank you sooooooo much! This was the only settings that worked for me. Did you try using any other codecs?

  • how do you save avi files plz reply

  • @majorkabuse42 What do you mean? It should save them after it finishes recording.

  • thanks you

  • Do you play in a window or fullscreen?

  • @DesertEliteAirsoft In a window, because it increases the FPS on the video.

  • Some times mine doesn't save.

  • @eatmyraisins I have that same problem sometimes. I think it occurs because the temporary memory on CamStudio runs out of space and it can't save the movie. Recording shorter clips at a time can help with that.

  • @bitcompte camstudio saves the videos in .avi format, if the .avi video is bigger than 2gig the file doesn't save, that's not the fault of camstudio, a .avi just isn't alowed bigger for some reason that's with every recording software. try using these settings and you'll have very decent quality for minecraft video's with camstudio

  • Dude mine only get half the page what should it be

  • @TekNiix Try multiplying the original settings (width and height) by 2. It worked for me.

  • @TekNiix I forgot to mention that if you play in full screen set it to full screen not fixed region.
