So this was new to you too? I see it is really a new trick.

Go stand on a ledge, ready to climb down, except with Abe facing the chasm-side. When you press down, Abe will begin to auto-turn. You must stop this by suddenly beginning to run. Then, when you try to turn (walking), Abe will climb down instead (even if there is no ledge).

OMG thanks the trick works good.... but... if I'm going for a speedrun I won't use it... looks like cheating too much :P
