How Come You Always Put The Camera UP ABOVE U? Its Not A Problem But Why?

Its on a four inch tripod in this video, but, the reason its above me is I am 6'2 and there is not really any places in my house for me to put my camera on where I can film and be seen in the shot. So, I have to shoot at a downward angle to be in the video lol, its basically the only way until I get a proper tripod.
